[09.10.2008] Sorry for the thread being a bit dead lately guys! We should be up and active again soon! Please understand that the staff is rather busy as of late.
Also, Ferret is taking a temporary hiatus from the shop, due to being busy with school work and the like. I know there are several customs owed, but please be patient. If you do not wish to wait, it's perfectly understandable (If this is so, please contact her), but things will get done. That goes the same for growings, please be patient! We'll get things done as soon as possible, but Ferret will not be taking on any new work for a while. Sorry guys!
[05.20.2008] There will be a small event this coming weekend, 5/24-5/26. There will be a raffle, auction, flatsale, and games! Keep your eyes peeled for more info. : D
[05.06.2008] It's Tani's Birthday! Keep your eyes open for freebies and other special opportunities in the shop! <3 There's a raffle thread in the guild for anyone interested in possibly getting a free pet through raffle.
[1.27.2008] RP Contest for the first earth shaman has been opened here.
[1.23.3008] Flaffle planned for 2/2/2008. See main thread for more information.
[1.22.2008]
tani duh!
Okay guys, lots of things to report. I'm crossing my fingers you'll all read this and make me happy in doing so.
First, the new guild is opened. You should start all new RPs there and move journals, quest threads, etc. The old guild will always still be around, but it will not be checked or updated for public purposes from now on.
With the opening of the new guild comes many new things. We've got a much more organized way of doing customs, breedings, bribes, drop offs, and certings. We will also FINALLY have The Horus Shop up and running soon enough. So there are lots of exciting things on the way.
Since Tani finally has a good chunk of time, she's going to start working on everything she owes all you fantastic thread goers. She has created a thread in the new guild regarding everything she owes, from freebies, to growths, to customs, everything. She asks that you post anything she needs to complete coloring-wise for you there. There's another thread in the guild in the certing section for missing certs. I appreciate your help in finding what I'm missing ^^;
The thread for you to post Tani's owed work to is:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11627933
I finished redoing the majority of the thread yesterday. I may just edit some tings on the second page some more so that it'll be easier for me to set up events. But otherwise, it's pretty much done. You'll notice a lot of it IS blank, but there are appropriate links in a post to all the information you could really ever need. I feel like this looks much neater, even if it does look a bit... incomplete or bland. It's much easier to navigate this way and the coding on the posts is much less complicated; fewer images everywhere, fewer randomly placed things, etc.
I have noticed and it has brought to my attention an increasing number of homosexual ulaya. Honestly, I have nothing against this and if it's part of the character, then great, your choice. This is however making other people in the thread uncomfortable, whether they post it outright or not, and that is where the line is drawn. If you insist on having a homosexual character, please tone it down? Some of the characters I have seen are quite flamboyant and seem to be causing other people to be uncomfortable, and I really would like a nice environment here for everyone; not just for the people who actually own a pet.
It has also been brought to my attention by several, if not many more than enough, people that colorists owe work but are still taking on more work. We know we owe work and we'll take care of it. Sometimes you just want to do something fun for the thread, like how Ferret recently held the breeding contest. We will get everything done, don't worry. Bugging us about it really just makes it more of a chore instead of something fun. Now who the hell WANTS to do chores? Not me. And therefore things will take longer [at least in my case]. So just be patient. I understand it's been a while, but I've been gone, the shop's been a bit unstable, and now that we're finally getting back our footing I won't be letting impatient people ruin it for myself and the rest of the talented staff we have fortunately rounded up.
The more of a chore this becomes the less I desire to even be ON Gaia. Let alone come into this shop / look at the work everyone keeps telling me to do. So let us be. =]
Personally I'll be starting on owed work tomorrow afternoon since I have my hardest two midterms tomorrow and a gymnastics meet tonight [damnbadcombo -__-]. I can't get to my other files from this laptop anyways.
Now, this is quite important.
I was absolutely outraged Sunday night when I logged on for a few minutes to see what everyone was up to and find that people are causing a stir over breedings. Every colorist here works very hard. Breedings are challenging sometimes and it's fun to mix things up by adding throwbacks, "random mutations," and different colors. You guys will NEVER complain about breedings ever again. I'm even more angry since this has been a problem before that I have addressed but apparently I need to give monthly reminders now. If I hear problems regarding people complaining about breedings in thread, out of thread, and even off of gaia they will immediately be banned from breeding.
They're BREEDINGS. You sometimes get unexpected things. You sometimes get nice surprises. Don't complain. They're not customs. They're not even SEMI customs. They're breedings. You're giving the colorist free reign as to what will come popping out, as long as it makes some sense. Someone else get a pet like the one you were pining after? I'm sorry, but that's how life works. It isn't always fair. Don't go guilt tripping, and don't come running to me or any other staff member about it.
Lastly, I've changed policies, rules, prices -- lots of stuff -- regarding many aspects of the shop, like breeding and customs. Go to the guild and read the little stickies about them. NOW. If you have not already that is. Breeding and customs are the bigs ones I edited. I changed prices on customs and also made it easier for you to price your own edits; I've added an RP requirement for full litter breedings. Don't like it? Then don't get a full litter. I really have never liked coloring 6 pets for 2 ulaya that have never even met in character. I have also removed the rule regarding homosexual breeding. It's not possible, therefore it will not be allowed. If you really would like two homosexual ulaya to have a family, you are now required to find a surrogate mother.
Also, staff should be sure to read the staff Faq and understand it well and start working on some of the stuff it mentions ;]
We're getting back into the swing of things and you'll be seeing more flatsales, breedings, customs, everything really soon. Probably starting in February. So, look forward to that little nugget of good news.
If you read all of that, props to you. I appreciate it. If you didn't, well, then when you ask a question that I answer in the above or when you do something that really ticks me off cuz I talked about it above, that's your fault.

[1.21.2008] Guild finally opened! Check it out, start new RPs here, set up your previously done packs, set up journals, etc. There are still some unfinished sections, obviously, but I wanted to get this open before February since we'll start getting back into the roll of things then.
Please post ANYTHING COLORING RELATED that TANI owes you in the following thread: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=11627933
Certings and ownership changes should be posted in the appropriate thread in the appropriate forum.
We'll all be working on owed work now and Tani will also be redoing the actual thread for the shop.
[1.05.2008] New guild made, working on getting everything set up so it can open and stuff won't be ridiculously unorganized anymore.
