Name: Ryûk
Personality: Proud. He would be proud of his heritage, proud of his looks, proud of the fear he instilles in the hearts of others.
Powers: The power to make everything go quiet at his command, of course, from fear.

Prompt 1:

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Ryuk rose to his feet, squinting into the sunlight. It was the perfect opprotunity to sneak off, seeing as his parents were more inclined to active towards the darker parts of the day. However, he did feel the eyes of his sister, the Goddess of Life, on him as he made his way past the his other sibilings who were napping. He didn't meet her gaze, but continued on his way towards a dark-canopied forest that was near by. His steps were even as he twisted through the sometimes thick undergrowth, and with each step, the life around him was silenced by his presence, giving him a smug look on his face.

He traveled quite a ways, not lacking in confidance at all that he would be able to make his way back home, and paused for some rest, the forest slowly reaching back to the volume it had been while he traveled. Though he was slightly groggy from skipping on his normal sleeping habit and the distance he had come, his ears were still alert to the laughter he heard from a distance. His head jerked up as he identified a squeal of delight, and it seemed that the life around him shuddered at his sudden movement. He rose to his feet once more, and crept towards the source.

From behind a thorn bush, he watched with a bright eye as two fair-furred kits played in a clearing. One seemed to be a light tan with darker tips and a mask across the bridge of his nose, while the other was light with black stockings and rims around her eyes. Neither of them seemed to notice the presence of the miniature deity as he watched them wrestle in a well-light clearing fit for his sister. He pulled away from the bush and stalked around it to where he was free to pounce in if he so desired. Might as well scare them out of thier skin, he thought, a wicked smirk playing across his face.

Ryuk lept into the clearing, his body so different from theirs, they could not help but stop in mid-step and gaze at his presence. His chest was puffed up with youthful pride, and his grin only grew when he heard the forest quiet in a wave behind him. It was the male who first moved towards him, head down in what could only be fear, Ryuk looking down at him over the bridge of his nose. "Well...?" He asked, in a voice that could make one's heart race, or even stop. The little male in front of him seemed to inhale deeply, and within the blink of an eye, batted the God and took of running, hollering over his shouler....happily? "You're it!"

Ryuk had no idea what "it" he was, and tore after the kit, watching as the female too, began to ran and laugh. He snorted in anger as he pushed forwards, thinking to himself I don't even need to use my power to catch them! They aren't worthy! as the three bolted around the clearing. When he managed to tag the female, the cycle was started anew, and for the first time, he felt the thrill in it too, thinking of how he had to teach it to his brother and sisters, though it might be a tad unfair playing with the God and Goddess of Hunting and Manipulation.

Name: Ank'li'an
Personality: Contrary to his appearance, he can be quite nice once you've broken through his emotional shell, he doesnt take kindly to strangers, atleast not until they've met various times.
Powers: As for powers, i've always imagined a god of fear to just be able to create great illusions , which play out as fear horrific and almost torturing. (sp?) Although those illusions can also be quite peaceful , if used properly (sp?)

Prompt #2:
Ank'li now spends his days sleeping in a large stone cave, which was carved by acient two-legger's (or humans, as we know them.) they tell pictorial (sp?) stories of grat beasts they fought. During his nights we roams the lands, hunting and trying to find a worthy mate, he tries to visit his mother frequently , but avoids his father , but that dosent mean they dont get along. He does not enjoy the presence of his sister , but definately welcomes his brothers with warm hearts.

A typical days eat for him would be a deer or a small calf (buffalo , cows.) and if he's lucky he would be able to take down a large fish without it slipping out of his mouth.

He most enjoys when hes alone , or with a female. And his pleasures are eating, mating (*COUGHWHEEZ*) and picking on bullies.

[Dx i hope that was good.]

Good luck everyone!

Prompt 1:

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Name: Unayehisdi
Personality: Haunting
Powers: He's able to suck all happiness out of the air, leaving behind nothing but uncomfortable dark and unpleasant feelings and thoughts.

He watched carefully as the young couple and their 3 little girls played. So much happiness. Too much happiness. They needed to be put in the right place by feeling exactly what he is. He could barely stand watching them. Lets change the scene shall he? Standing up from his hiding place, he slowly made his way towards them. His chain dragging behind him, making rather a lot of noise.

The couple looked over at him, seeing him at first, they had tried to hide their children from the kit. Of course, he was only a kit to, so they figured he wasn't going to do anything. Or at least, that's what they that. His bone wings flapped lightly. He had a smirk of just pure evil.

As soon as they let him come closer, he started exactly what he wanted to do. He started taking the happiness right out of everything. The young couple's smiles quickly faded as they looked down at the him. He seemed to continue to smile. The kits started to cry and shake, which made Una's attention go to them fairly fast. He just watched mostly, watched them start to suffer. Yes... This was how it was suppose to be... How everything was suppose to be.

He couldn't contain his laugh as he watched the family try to back up from him. Where did they think they were going. He shook his head. "There's no place to hide." He said in a rather childish voice. It made him look less scary then he really was. Fear was everywhere. Though, as soon as he started, it had stopped.

He didn't see her, until the small family had looked away from him. Looking over his shoulder, it had seemed that his mother knew exactly where he was. Well, that was no fun. He stopped what he was doing as quickly as possible looking up at her innocently. Though, he was sure she wasn't going to be angry with him. Or at least not too angry.

Name: Tka'ii Ut'selii (Silent "T" KAH-ee OOT-say-lee)

Personality: Intimidating. Though while not exactly a bully, a mere glare will silence even the bravest of Ulaya, and his presence in general would cause instinctive fright... and flee. There is, however, a minor setback... he doesn't wish to be that way; because of who and what he is, unfortunately, he has to put up with being lonely...

Powers: Tka'ii's powers generally insinuate and instigate fear through the mind (such as nightmares or visions); he, however, has little control on how they happen; they react to his current mood behind his impassive mask, depending on which Ulaya he is around.

Prompt 2
Your god is now an adult. Pretty much free reign on this! What are his habits? His joys? ...Pretty much just do whatever you feel inspired to do.

Answer

Would it be that Tka'ii didn't have to worry over his presence. Though while he was truly proud of his heritage and what he was, he also frowned upon his nature. It created a feeling of lonliness he did not wish for. Wandering to a place covered by shadow and giving him a view to observe with a critical eye, he reviewed within his mind a small profile about himself.

Now, the thing he enjoyed most was generally hunting down the cowards and the bullies, or both combined, for they were the most entertaining to frighten. He was the God of Fear--he enjoyed instigating fright within those who deserved it... not within those who did not. He did not enjoy scaring innocents, even less so kits.

Tka'ii would never bare the weakness, for were he to provide such knowledge, he knew that within moments either the bravest--or the most idiotic--would try to challenge, pretending no fear, and that would weaken him greatly. If he did not have fear to feed upon--despite the joys of hunting, but natural fear did him no good in the end--Tka'ii would weaken.

"Weak" was a word he despised with good reason and passion; he was strong, if emotionally unbalanced... his eagle eyes caught movement from his chosen, hidden place and he allowed himself a smile--a predatory smile, if one were to describe it. His tail swished in anticipation... hunger of the flesh was not to be ignored.

A swift movement, and a young, freshly grown rabbit had been killed with one quick slice of his claws, and rapidly devoured within three bites. Gulping his small prize with pleasure, he froze when he saw he had been watched by who he instinctively knew was an innocent Ulaya. He stared at the Ulaya for a moment, unsure of how to react... he was never very good with pureness.

Just as suddenly, the poor little thing fled... leaving him in a foul mood. Tka'ii turned, eager to hunt down a few cowards... and bullies... and other things that hid how truly frightened they actually were. He needed to vent out his bad mood... a pained grin appeared, flashing fangs that were enough to scare anyone who saw them... the lone God of Fear was on the move once more.

As he hunted carefully, he once again reviewed himself. He finally decided that he should just be satisfied as he was, and Tka'ii felt better--confident once more. Another flash of sharp, glistening fangs, but this time, no pain came with the predatory smile... Tka'ii Ut'selii was on the hunt to feed his very nature... he was out for the fear.

Prompt 1

Name: Kitai
Personality: Wrathful, he loves causing fear and he thinks very highly of himself. If there was a person that he was not able to effect then he wouldn’t rest until they were dead.
Powers: Manipulating shadows, moving ghost-like (levitating), and with a few whispers in the ear when an ulaya is asleep he can destroy the lock and chains that are holding back what they fear most.

Kitai sniffed the cool midnight air and smirked evilly. Tonight would be a world full of fun and mischief; striking fear and terror into the hearts of sleeping ulaya, whispering words of hatred, death, and decay in their ears. Corrupting they’re souls and scarring their pathetic lives for all eternity. For he was the God of Fear, creating fear in the hearts of others was what he did best. Manipulating shadows and carrying an immense killing aura, unaware ulaya should beware unless they want to become a ghostly pale. Kitai crackled silently under his breath as he swept across the grass, which seemed to wither just in sight of him.
Kitai finally woke from his dream, he’s been dreaming the same dream for a week now: the day he would be an adult where he can officially terrorize life as we know it. He snarled; he wasn’t going to wait any longer; he’ll go ahead and cause all the chaos till his heart (if he had one) was content! Kitai looked around; it was still nightfall, perfect. The rest of his incompetent “family” was either asleep like he was or were lying awake, not caring that he was wandering away. As Kitai grew farther away from where he was once resting he heard the sounds of laughter. Hiding in a near by bush he looked to see what was making that horrendous noise, it was a positively disgusting sound, he couldn’t bare it.
It was some fellow kits, not great and godly ones like him though. They were doing very strange things like chasing one another around a fire, but they looked like they were having… fun? Kitai gritted his teeth; he had never experienced so much joy like they were. The only times he felt that ecstatic was when he was experiencing “that dream” which currently hasn’t come true at all. Kitai felt bitter, very bitter at the moment, was it jealousy? Was he envious they could have so much fun just from being with each other? No one was joyous when they were with him. Using his powers to manipulate shadows he created his own shadow in to a beast, a great large one, horns, fangs, claws, it was equipped with it all. Kitai waited until they grew tired and where they would finally stop their foolishness and rest.
Kitai waited and waited, it was like they were running off of diesel. Eventually they stopped all the nonsense and laid down. Kitai sneered, took them long enough. Slowly he made his shadow creep over to them; something inside his chest was beating quickly with anticipation. The kits finally looked up to see what it was and saw the creature, assuming that the real thing was behind them they all screamed and scampered away. The shadow returned to normal and Kitai was crackling his rear off. When he stopped he wiped away a tear that he got from laughing so much. Kitai sighed, scaring the wits out of them was not as pleasing as he had hoped, he began to doubt he would ever have as much fun as them. A low rumble came from his throat as he stalked off, disappointed. Next time for sure… it’s not me, it’s them. I just need the perfect victim, one not as incompetent as those “kind” are. Kitai sneered, but in happiness, this world was full of suckers just waiting to faint in fear of him. Kitai looked down, the grass wasn’t withering yet, but it will, in time it will.

Name: Eviscus
Personality: Eviscus is a true sadist. He enjoys creating misery and sorrow for others through his fear, and thrives off of the taste of fear around him. If he was strong enough, Eviscus would more than likely be entirely willing to not only make those around him cower in fear, but writhe in agony.
Powers: The powers would be offset by what I want to do to him physically, but his greatest power is his ability to create such intense illusions and emotions in others. He can worm his way into the minds of others. (Not without a struggle, of course.) And after doing so, he can seek out the worst possible fear, and turn it into a reality for them if only for a few minutes. As he gets older, I imagine Eviscus's ability to use this will grow.

Note: I like to play truly sadistic muses with powers like Eviscus to have an overall weak physical disposition, if that's alright. Even if he looks healthy, perhaps he's not as strong as he likes or fast. ^^ If this is a problem, I can certainly change it, but I like giving my sadistic types weaknesses. twisted It makes me giggle.

Prompt 1

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Dispicable. The feeling of loathing towards the kits playing with a round object, a ball or rock of some sort, swelled within him and his eyes darkened considerably, his expression forced into a sneer as he stalked into the shade of a tree. While other kits could play, he was kept aside or shunned for what he was, for what he did without his own permission. It wasn't his fault, not entirely, but...

He did love to see the tearful expressions of others, cowering in front of him and pleading for salvation. It was with this in mind that Eviscus, the young God of Fear, rose from his position under the shade and stalked towards a kit who had bound towards him after a ball. The sky itself seemed to darken as he stopped, standing over the kit who had crouched to retrieve a ball.

The moment blue eyes meant emotionless ones, Eviscus struck into the young kit's mind, and pulled forth her worst fear. It was a rather new sort of fear, the fear of being alone and lost. New, but most assuredly boring. He sneered a little, snapping under his breath. "Pathetic." But nonetheless, Eviscus struck, and the surroundings around the kit warped, making the kit feel that it was truly alone in a twisted, evil place.

Eviscus seemed to grow, glowing with pride as he felt the sorrow and fear from the kit, watching as the kit bound through its illusion, trying without success to escape the dark place it was trapped in. It cried for its mother, father, anyone, but the cries only echoed around it, until the beginnings of exhaustion and hopelessness settled in. It was only a few minutes, but Eviscus was sure the kit felt like it was a lifetime before the illusion disappeared.

Snarling quietly to himself for the failure to prolong the illusion if only for a moment more, Eviscus turned, stalking back towards the shadows and more importantly, toward home. Absolutely pathetic. He thought, glowering. The fears of some kits were an absolute bore.

Prompt 2

Your god is now an adult. Pretty much free reign on this! What are his habits? His joys? ...Pretty much just do whatever you feel inspired to do.

The feeling of freedom the newly grown Eviscus felt was something akin only to the worst possible pain. Though this may sound confusing to any other Jokoa, to Eviscus, it felt like absolute Heaven. He rose from his den, stretching, and grinned ferally when a few littler creatures scurried away, feeling the cloak of forboding fall over them like a stretch of death.

While Eviscus may not entirely enjoy how much weaker he was compared to others, he did love to pull the fears of others out of their minds, and it was this day he'd be able to do something he longed to do for so long. While wandering in the wooded area, Eviscus picked up the scent of a familiar kit. Though she was obviously no longer a kit, Eviscus knew this one.

From where?

.... Ah, yes. This was the blue-eyed kit with the dreadfully boring fear. But she wasn't a kid anymore, and Eviscus couldn't help but wonder if her fears had, perhaps, changed. Only one way to find out, now wasn't there? And this time, Eviscus was prepared to stretch the illusion until she wailed, begged for saving, pleaded and cried to be let free of the terror. If he could not inflict pain, he would inflict the next best thing.

Much like he'd done as a kit, Eviscus moved into the shadows of the trees around them, and stalked towards the blue-eyed kit he'd trapped before. He leapt from the shadows once he was near enough, shoulders back, head reared up, and when the kit looked up... His eyes gleamed, and he sunk into her mind before she could flinch away, or remember that this, this monster, this beastly creature had done this before to her, as a child.

He tore through her mind, careless of memories and images of loved ones, until he came to a protective barrier around her fears. Grinning, Eviscus tore through the barrier, and ripped into her most terrible fear. It seemed this young adult Jokoa had kits now, and her worst fear was one to understand.

The fear of her kits dying.

He took this fear in his mind, and pulled free from the kit, glowering at her deviously. "It is nice to see you again." He hissed, before the Illusion began to creep into place, and the female felt despair come over her as she watched a much larger Jokoa, who resembled the terrible creature who caused her this terrible illusion, this hallucination of fear, corner her little kits.

"No, please I beg, let them go!" She cried, trying and failing to move from her position to get closer to the very large male. She watched, blue eyes wide and watered, as the intruding stranger killed her three kits, her sons and her beloved daughter, her poor children.

Eviscus tilted his head, taking a deep breath to inhale the incredible stench of fear and hopelessness. He watched the blue eyes dim as the realization set in, that her kits were dead, her poor kits were gone thanks to this monster. He watched, sighing a little when he realized that while this fear was much more interesting... It wasn't going to live much longer. She was already slipping into hysterics and that, while amusing, wasn't very tasteful.

After a couple minutes of listening to the wailing cries of the Jokoa who blamed herself for her kits death, Eviscus pulled away, sighing tiredly. "You really didn't become any less of a bore, Miss." He growled, turning and stalking away from the Jokoa. The young female looked up, tears still streaming from her eyes, and sniffed.

"W-Why do you d-do this?"

Eviscus froze, and blinked, confused for a moment by the question. Then he turned and looked over, eyes gleaming. "Why? He asked, tilting his head. Then he laughed. "Because, Miss... Because I can." He turned, then, leaving the female to figure if it was real or just an illusion, to return to his den and perhaps, tear one of those pathetic little creatures apart for an early lunch.

*cough* I apologize if they're a little long, but I got incredibly inspired with the concept. sweatdrop

Name: Phobos (taken from Phobia)
Personality: Sickening, corrupt, and a tad insane. Manipulating and scaring others have not only driven others mad, but in time has made him a bit off mentally. He lives and breathes fear, and he wishes that others around him do the same. As he becomes older, his powers will grow and flourish, but his mind will continue to lose itself in the process.
Powers: To know instantly ones deepest and darkest fear, and to create illusions as he wishes, whether it be when stalking a prey, or even out of boredom to scare a random intruder. To disrupt the mental capacity of another and to emotionally torture is his most favorite thing to do, especially when it involves their greatest worry and fear. He knows how powerful a fear is in the mind, so he finds his power to be unbeatable in a sense. He may have full control over others, but he is slowly losing control over himself.

Prompt 2:

Your god is now an adult. Pretty much free reign on this! What are his habits? His joys? ...Pretty much just do whatever you feel inspired to do.

Doing as he always did, Phobos awoke from a short sleep in the shadows of a cloudy night, and he stretched his body in hopes of curing his stale weariness. He found it more pleasing to never sleep, and he only did so every few days, because sleep was nothing but boring. There were so many other things he enjoyed doing besides sleeping, since Phobos had no desire to dream in any way. All he desired was to bother others, and he constantly was out and about, staying in the shadows that Ulaya did not know existed.

Ahh, perfect. It appeared that Phobos did not need to seek out a prey tonight, since someone was dumb enough to wander alone in the silent night. It was those kind of idiotic creatures that caused the male the most fun, and he grinned at his new discovery. As the male started moving his body, he saw to the right of him that a young female was wandering off by herself, completely dazed and unaware of her surroundings. She was deep in thought.. and it was about a love interest apparently. 'Oh my..' Phobos thought to himself. 'I have so many options to play.'

As his mind pondered something disruptive to do to that female's emotional state, his dark eyes watched her through every move she made. He would not take his eyes off her, since he was learning as much as he could by her dumb expression. This was going to be painless, well, at least for him. Phobos did enjoy a self challenge, which in his case would be someone brave, but since he was feeling weary after a terrible rest, an easy target was like a small gift to himself.

Now, it was time to work. Phobos decided to adjust an image in the female's spaced out mind, and create a horrific pure black beast to be snarling now behind the female. In seconds her eyes were wary, and she was shaking in fright. The beast that Phobos created was the typical, all black monster, with shining red eyes. It worked everytime, as he would say himself. It was easily scaring the female, but no, Phobos was not finished yet.

He then made it look like the male that she was thinking about had come to save her. It was another young lad, about the same age as her, with bright eyes and a suave smile. He gritted his teeth at his imagery, but then molded his mouth into a twisted smile. The pleasure was soon to come for him, and he was patient in his movements.

The fake-male Ulaya was supposedly there to save his 'love', and he and the dark beast would now dual in front of the young female. She looked beyond happy to see her loved one, but Phobos would soon change that reassurance from her eyes. He would take everything away from her, and keep all of her pain and suffering for himself. He commanded the black beast illusion to pounce at the male, and to once let the heroic male illusion jump out of the way in a small attack to the beast. To create a fake hope, so that the female could believe this was actually going to be resolved happily, as everything in her pathetic life was.

But no. With a flick of Phobos' forehead, the black beast illusion then snapped at the heroic male, only to allow an exaggerated amount of blood to be shown in front of the female. Phobos then waited, silently and surely. And alas, the female screamed, and her eyes grew beyond proportion. The muscles in her face were twitching, and her body looked as if it was going to break itself.

Phobos then made the dark beast finish its prey during this time, and act satisfied in its meal. It then walked away from the female, only to soon become a nothingness in the air. Phobos was again gluing his eyes on the timid female, who had lost it at this point. In a matter of minutes, she fled from the area, and her screams could be heard for many moments after. Phobos allowed himself a satisfied smile, and finally a well deserved laugh.

That was too much fun. And now, it was time for him to move on again, and see who else he could bother for the night. It never got tiring, and each prey would become more exciting then the next. This was his addiction, and as he continued laughing to himself, he once again kept himself invisible in the darkness of the shadows.

(( I apologize for the length, I tried to keep it swift ; 3 I hope showing this kind of scenario was ok for Prompt 2! <3 ))

Name: Yama
Personality: Yama is vindictive, choosing to only care about himself. So far, he has shown no sign of compassion for others. He is also vain, and a bit proud.
Powers: I would give him the power of pain. He could inflict pain on anyone he so chooses, if his hatred/anger is strong enough.

Prompt 1:

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Yama looked around the large forest, refusing to let his emotions get the better of him. So his family was nowhere to be seen. Big deal. He was old enough to take care of himself now.
This was a test.
And Yama had swore to himself, and to his father, that every test he stumbled upon, he would win. No matter the cost.
Pushing past a couple of trees, he caught the faint sound of laughter, and recognized it as a child's.
Shrugging, not seeing the harm, he pushed his way fully out into the the field.
All laughter stopped.
There were three other kits, two were frozen in the act of rolling around, the other standing by.
"Wow," One of them murmured.
"What?" Yama snapped, a growl low in this throat.
"N-Nothing," The other child replied. "I-I'm Penny. A-And this is my friends--"
"I don't care," He cut the girl off. He wouldn't be telling the girl his name, even if she begged. He had been brought up to know better then to give out his name to just anyone.
"D'you want to play with us?" A different kit asked, which earned him a sharp kick from the other foxes. "What?" He whined at them.
"You should take example from your friends. I don't play," Yama retorted, then turned on his heel, leaving them in shocked silence behind him.
"Good job, son," A voice said from the darkness. Yama's father appeared from the shadows, a smirk on his sharp features. "You remembered what I taught you. Never expose yourself. Never panic. One day, you will be great."
That was the most wonderful compliment Yama had ever recieved, since or until.
He truly lived up to it...

Name: Deimos

Personality: Coming at it from a biological perspective, Deimos prefers to warn others of danger with his powers. Usually very calm, he understands fear, so it's hard to frazzle him. Occasionally uses his powers to play pranks on others.

Powers: (What powers would you give him?) He's able to instill two different kinds of fear in others; the kind that most take seriously (i.e. life threatening situation fear), and the kind that is used for entertainment (i.e. scary movie on Halloween). Major power is to manifest someone's fears in a tangible form. He doesn't use that one often. Also has a general aura of spookiness that's hard for him to control.

Prompt 1:
Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Reply:

It was the witching hour, the time of night where the sun seems to have abandoned the world for good. The time when all spooks and ghouls have free reign and delight in raking their claws up unsuspecting Jokoa's spines, making them shiver and hope for the dawn. Tonight, though, they probably felt that their mischief making was less effective. The God of Fear just wasn't in the mood.

Deimos tossed and turned on his bed of grass. He'd wanted to take a nap, feeling thoroughly bored with the activities of his family. He scrunched his eyes shut, attempting to will himself to sleep, but always as he was just about to drift to sleep, a sprig of grass would tickle his nose, or his sister would laugh, and he'd be jolted to wakefulness again.

Finally, he stood up, and left the cave, looking for something to do. The regular pranks had lost their novelty, and Deimos only fleetingly considered them before shaking his head. Besides, his siblings were used to his pranks. With no real destination in mind, his paws carried him off the beaten paths and into the darker reaches of the Forest. He was naturally immune to the creepy aura of such places, and wandered very far, idly inspecting rotten logs and splashing in scum covered ponds to see if something would leap from their depths.

After a while, Deimos realized that he'd wandered completely into unknown territory. The mossy trees had given way to tall, straight trees with healthy leaves, and, in the distance, he could hear the sound of laughter. Suddenly curious, he quietly crept closer, and thrust his head through some bushes.

In the clearing beyond the bushes, two non-God kits were enjoying the thrill of being out in the forest at night. Apparently, they weren't supposed to be here, for they occasionally shushed each other when their play go too loud. Deimos was delighted by their antics, and wanted to run over to them. However, he knew that most Jokoa were made uneasy by his presence. It was his darn aura! If he could find a way to repress it, maybe they'd let him play. Removing his head from the bushes, Deimos turned his thoughts inward and concentrated on dulling the aura of spookiness that radiated off him like heat.

His unsuccessful efforts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps behind him, and Deimos turned to see a rather large, and hungry-looking wolf regarding him with wary yellow eyes. Deimos stuck his tongue out at it, knowing it wouldn't come close to him. Sure enough, the wolf sniffed a bit in his direction, thought better of attacking him, and left.

In the direction of the kits.

Deimos had a very bad feeling and stuck his head back through the bushes. Sure enough, the wolf had gone for the easier prey. Deimos felt a stirring in his blood that felt remarkably like fear, as he watched the kits cower from the wolf. He could feel their fear, and he was suddenly sympathetic. Fear was easy for him to handle, but he was a God. Deimos decided to help the kits and wrestled his way through the bush, projecting as much Fear at the wolf as possible. The wolf paused, confused at why he felt scared when there was just weak prey around. It gave Deimos enough time to run in between the wolf and the kits, his small teeth bared in a ridiculous snarl. It was enough to stop the wolf completely in his tracks as Deimos's power washed over him.

Danger here. Run! Deimos pressed upon the wolf, and he ran, tail between his legs, a whimper of fear escaping his muzzle. Deimos watched him go with satisfaction. That had been much more rewarding than a prank! Deimos turned to smile at the two kits but found that they were staring at him with more terror than the wolf had inspired.

"Oh. Sorry." he said, the smile disappearing. "I'll just go now."
Guess they weren't going to let him play. Deimos sighed and left.

Name: Osoreru
Personality: Very solitary. He doesn't exactly like company and prefers to be alone. When he has some sort of interaction with another, he's very arrogant and sadistic to tell the other one in a harsh manner that he doesn't want company. He tries to be nice in saying it, yet he's impatient and has a very bad temper
Powers: The ability to show someone their deepest, darkest fear in a trance/illusion sort of thing that inflicts sever emotional pain. Otherwise, I guess he can scar fear into another's mind, mostly making the victim become afraid of him.

Prompt 1:

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Osoreru muttered curses beneath his breath at his parents. He was just in a fight with them about his arrogance and lack of respect. One day, he swore that he'd get back at them one way or the other.

As he prowled further and further away from them, voices grew louder and louder. Eventually, he saw a few children playing a few feet in front of him. He came to an abrupt stop and glared at the kits who stopped playing as well.

"Hey, there! I haven't seen you around these parts." The first and oldest-looking child greeted and stepped out from the group of five. He smiled warmly and playfully wagged his bushy tail.

Osoreru merely continued glaring at them, his lips pressed into a thin line to prevent any noises from escaping. His shifted back and forth, getting a good look at each and everyone of the kits.

The male that greeted him cocked his head to one side and came closer. "Do you live around here? Who are your parents? Do you have any siblings?"

"You're one obnoxious, annoying Ulaya . . ." Osoreru growled.

The male was quick to back up a step or two. "Only trying to be friendly." He said in his defense.

"Well, as you can clearly see, I don't like company. So can I pass?"

"Lighten up, he was only trying to be nice to you." A female stepped up next to the other male. "You should be grateful he's not like the other Ulaya that aren't so nice."

"I'd like those types right now . . ." He grumbled. "So can I just pass through?"

"Why don't you go around?" The male suggested with a pout.

Osoreru looked over his shoulder. If he went back there, his parents would find him without trouble. His head quickly sprung back on his neck to face the other children. "Don't question me." He snarled. His eyes narrowed and his claws were unsheathed, impatiently tapping at the ground.

"Please, if you're not going to be friendly, we're not gonna be friendly back." The male retorted.

"Are you guys trying to make me angry?" He hissed in a ghastly voice. His hair started rising a bit to threaten the naive children.

The others backed off a little more. What was this kid. He looked different to be sure, but what exactly was he? "C'mon guys," The male encouraged. "This guy is single, we out number him by four!"

"And I will be a lot more harsh than I already am if you guys don't let me pass!!!" Osoreru snapped. A growl faded out after it. He wasn't playing any games with these kits. They were bugging to wrong guy.

The male yelped and lowered himself. "Okay, okay . . . You win this time . . ." He whimpered and fled to the safety of the forest.

Osoreru glared at the other four kits. They too crouched down and slowly backed away. He approached them and they all trembled and ran after the male. Osoreru smirked with satisfaction as he watched them run. He had made the others see him as their deepest and darkest fear in order to make them scurry off like vultures trying to steal a kill from a very angry lion. He let out a small, quiet laugh filled with that sense of evil as he turned and continued padding further and further away from his despicable family that he hated so much.

name____________‹‹
would be u n k n o w n to others ..
but down inside, he is Ryo - a distant reality..

personality________‹‹
Dark, carrying a cold aura around him with a
slightly intimidating touch. Quiet and anti-social
for the most part, he's like twilight's last breath;
a fallen angel.

powers___________‹‹

[ shadows ] // Holding the ability to manipulate shadows,
he can also use the shadow of another Ulaya to control
them [movement-wise]. However, the longer he uses it,
the more energy it consumes.

✖ [ night walk ] // At night he is able to draw in strength from
the moon and use it to change his form into nothing but
mist; thus he is in a translucent form. Others can walk
through him and he can walk through things as well.

[ illusions ] // At his will, he can summon illusions that enter
one's mind usually of things you fear. When around another,
he can see what it is that you fear most.

✖ [ toungue of the dead ] // This ability allows Ryo to converse
with the dead; allowing the spirit to change his voice to match
the dead's so he can haunt others with it. If a Ulaya is also
on the verge of death, Ryo can take away its life, thus easing
the Ulaya [in a sense].

P r o m p t 2 : "Your god is now an adult. Pretty much free reign

on this! What are his habits? His joys? ...Pretty much just do whatever you feel inspired

to do."

The lone cries of the north wind gently echoed through the vast lands. It entwined through the trees causing them to shiver under its presence.
It was quiet ... - it was always quiet at this time. The time was precisely 2 minutes till midnight. A chilled tension filled the crisp night air.

The wind stirred again, gingerly combing through silky fur that belonged to a gallant beast. A shadow could be seen laying limp on a broad, flat rock beside a small pond. It was very well hidden by trees and bushes alike - only a trained eye would have spotted it. A single paw was left dangling over the rock, the tips of its claws gently skimming the top of the clear cool water; ripples disrupting the smooth surface. The faint sound of bubbling water could be heard as a small waterfall was located near the pond. Other than that, all was still - as if the world was holding its breath and waiting for something.

"Elda, am I so strange that
others always fear me?
"
asked a soft voiced Ulaya kit.
"Perhaps not strange...but you
are different. Very different.
"

The shadow stirred...then suddenly irises of a striking pale indigo sapphire opened.
The sleeping beast had arisen - precisely at midnight.

The shadowed creature stood up, striking a gallant pose. A ray of moonlight pierced
through the gatherine clouds, shining down upon the beast. The light gleamed off of its
midnight ebony coat; then he tilted his head skyward. Even the stars seemed to quiver
under his deathly cold stare.
Then in a flash, he was gone;
all you could see was remnants of mist.

..He was known as the God of Fear.

The God was a mere blur in the darkness as he ran effortlessly out into the wide lands of Jokoa. Body was pressed low to the ground as paws gingerly swept over moon-kissed grass. The Ulaya God lavished in the quietness of the night; the cool wind that swept through his fur; the feeling of stretching out cramped muscles. He was out on this daily run of the night. Faster and faster his speed became until he was running at a terrifying pace...until suddenly...he was gone again; leaving only mist.

What had caused him to disappear so fast?

Ah, it seemed that two adolescents - near adult Ulaya - had ventured away from their parents. If not for the God's fast reflexes, they would have collided. But he turned mist just in time and simply glided right on through the two Ulaya.

Ryo.
...Ryo was his name.
The God's.
Simple name it was.
A name no one else alive knew but himself.
Names were powerful things - he didn't give his out easily.
It was in his nature to be so untrusting;
...so independent...

Soft paws brought the misty translucent body to a slow lope before the gallant beast stopped. Ears flickered backwards as Ryo raised his noble head in the other Ulaya's direction; his neck gracefully arched. So it seemed the God's peace would be short lived. Cold intense sapphire-indigo eyes narrowed as he walked stealthily towards the other two; still in his near-invisible form. Closer and closer he approached until he was only a foot away from beside them. The two wandering Ulaya suddenly stopped moving. Coldness spread through their limbs unexpetedly. Any bold streak in them had suddenly melted away as they began to look around wildly.

"Do you feel that?" one of them whispered, fear lacing his voice.

Beside him, Ryo stood, an icy glint in his eyes. He felt their fear; the natural reaction to his presence. This fear...he read like a book. Through it, he sifted through until he found their inner most fear - the kind that would paralyze them and drive them into insanity. In otherwords, he targeted their weakness. The God of Fear had little mercy for anyone - weren't they ever taught to leave such a God alone? With ease, the God began to conjure up the illusion that would be carried into their minds causing them to feel as if they were trapped in a nightmare they couldn't ever wake up from.

Then Ryo materialized beside the two Ulaya, causing them to give out a cry of alarm.
"Somethings in this world, are better left alone," he said quietly, before sending the illusion into their minds. The God didn't even bother watching them as they suffered; simply changing back into mist form, blending into the night, as he walked away.

Even as he did this though, the God felt as if someone had plunged an icy dagger into his heart.

Name: Phobos
Personality: Altogether, Phobos has pretty much lost it. After all, something living off of fear cannot quite exist without losing a screw or two. He does not intentionally hurt people, but simply enjoys frightening others, and is often prone to random near-psychotic outbursts and monologuing.
Powers:
Aura - Not so much a power as an attribute. Phobos emits a rather unsettling aura.
Projection - The ability to delve into one's mind and make them truly believe that they are experiencing something terrifying.
Invisibility- Phobos can render himself invisible, but only for short bursts (between 5 and 10 seconds). All the better to scare others with, and all the better to hide!

Prompt 1:

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

Response:

Phobos had no idea what his true intentions were in wandering away from his siblings, but he had done it nonetheless. Maybe he'd find something fun to play with; a spider or a snake, perhaps. Regardless, here he was, and he wasn't entirely sure of the way back.

Only a few minutes of wandering brought up a rather interesting discovery. Two Ulaya, his age or possibly a bit older, chased a small plastic ball around clearing. It was most likely that they had found it exploring.

Intrigued, Phobos sat. And sat. And sat.

It took the other kits only a short time to notice their visitor. The blue one, a girl judging by its voice, smiled and tried to be kind.

"You can play with us if you want!" she invited.

Phobos said nothing. He sat. He stared. His bony wings clicked together as he shifted slightly.

"Ummm. Okay." Then, as children often did, the kits returned to playing.

It would be hard to judge just how long the gaieties lasted before things started to turn toward the dark side. Phobos tilted his head slightly, one ear flicking at a bug as it flew by. The day became dry, hot. The grass crackled and broke on itself.

Then came the flames. Bright orange and yellow leaped spontaneously from the ground, rushing toward the kits as they stared in horror. Like two deer in headlights they watched on until the heat lapped at their muzzles. Fire! The field was on fire!

Screaming and near tears, the little Ulaya headed for the hills, pursued by fire that existed only in their minds. Phobos gave a little snort and trotted forward, picking up the ball to take with him before heading in the direction from which he had come.

Name: Stygian
Personality: He is very mischievous. He's a daredevil, enjoying to scare people through putting himself in dangerous situations.
Powers:
-> Healing [to heal himself after those dangerous stunts, yah know?]
-> Self inflicting wounds [for his pranks]
-> Shadow creatures [can make creatures for shadows, like shadow puppets 8"D]
-> Blending into the shadows [so he can sneak up on others]

Prompt 1:

Your god boy is still a kit, and has wandered away from his family. In his wanderings, he walks up on a couple other kits playing. What does he do?

A little tired of his family, Stygian decides to wander off. He didn't need to hear any more complaints about him 'being bad'. It wasn't 'bad'. It was fun. Fear... Fun... They are very much alike, you know.

He walks down the street until he's surrounded by tall buildings and dark alleys. Stygian notices he was approaching a park, with a couple kits playing there. "Hm... a wonderful opportunity," he thought. Looking around for things to help with his little scheme, he sees one of the dark alley ways behind the park, and another in front of it. "That should work wonders," he said under his breath. The only place to go from the park is into that dark alley, and thats where he was going to hide.

Stygian made his way to that alley, making sure no one saw him. He then sparked his power, and caused himself some wounds. He made himself look like he was dying. "This is sure to scare them!" Lying down low so no one would see him, he looked into the other alley way, his eyes turned a bright red, and produced a large bat using the shadow of the other alley. It approached the park from the front, and the kits had no where else to run but into the alley way. Stygian heard the kits scream and was filled with glee. He knew they were coming, so he got himself ready.

Then, when he saw them, he moaned. "Run kits, run! There is something further in the alley that attacked me. RUN!" That startled even more the already afraid kits. They ran back to the park, but met the shadow bat again. They huddled together in the middle of the park and screamed.

"What joy this is," Stygian said still laying there, now laughing his head off.

-----

Oddly enough, Stygian's parents were soon running to the park, looking for the source of the screams. They saw the kits and the shadow bat, and they automatically knew who it was. "STYGIAN!"

Stygian heard his name called with a familiar voice, and the God of Fear was instantly afraid. He quickly healed his wounds, and ran further into the dark alley way. Soon enough though, it was a dead end, and he knew that he would be facing his only fear.... His parents.
