I can't believe this wasn't here. The new movie comes out May 22, 2008! Harrison Ford stars once again this time with Shia LaBeouf of Transformers and Even Stevens fame! I'm so excited about this release! Is anyone else and does anyone know anything interesting?

I can't wait for this movie. I'm apprehensive though, because of two things: 1.) the age of Harrison Ford, he used to do alot of stunts etc but what kind of action is it gonna be like now? 2.) because whenever films decide to add extra movies years on from the original they usually mess it up. The 3rd movie in a trilogy is usually pretty poor but that didn't happen in the original trilogy so I have faith.
When they were first writing the script George Lucas made a comment that theplot line could be quite contraversial and he didn't know how people would take it..

They just couldn't make it 19 years after for releasing it, could they? It would have been my PERFECT Birthday present! And, I would have camped out for probably a day and a half to get to being first in line to see it. . . Maybe I should pre-order the tickets. . .

I read somewhere that George Lucas said he was "dreading" the release of the movie...he said the critics will hate it right from the start, just because it's an add on to a trilogy..and he said the fans weren't happy because they were scared he'd spoil the original films....but I have faith in him, he loves his characters; there is no way he'd let it be a bad film...I hope...

He let Star Wars go to waste, in my opinion. . . I hated the new movies. . . Sure they had good graphics, sure they had new characters, but I still feel they took too much of the Atlantean Effect while making the movie. . . You may notice that all the ships from the new movies are more maneuverable, agile, better weaponry, streamline design, super advanced construction, and so on. It makes the older movies look like they were made to be in the Stone Age.

I think Phantom Menace was probably the best out of the latest ones, Attack of the Clones was a let down...the acting felt so mediocre. I agree with what you're saying about the vehicles etc...but I think it would be really hard to make a compromise between much better graphics and technology and making things look older...I think they did it well with the droids and the clones. I am concerened that the new Indy movie is just too late in the making......Harrison Ford's age bothers me, not just because of his fitness but because what could Indiana Jones be doing at that age...

Trying to raise a son? OOPS!!!! Did I let the cat out of the bag? Or was that already in the spoilers? He is still in good health, relatively. . . He will still do the majority of his own stunts, as I heard it.

I agree with you about the time laps and all, but HF still does most of his stunts. I know in Firewall he did almost everything himself, including falling through a glass window. I think he'll do fine. I saw a pic and he got back into shape for the roll and thank GOD he got rid of that God awful ear ring he has... why he ever got that I'll never know. I think the movie's going to rock!

I know a lot of people felt that way about the movies, but I loved the new ones, apart from the fact that Hayden Christiansen is kind of a whiney b***h in them. That's the character though. I mean Luke was too. I think the new IJ will be great!

Couldn't they have gotten someone as good looking as Harrison in his younger days? I wouldn't worry about Harrison's age. Firewall showed me he's still got it so I can't wait to see this movie! I guess I'm just an optimist.
