Basically I'm fairly normal and I'm simple to understand. I'm Eighteen, and I'm stuck in a time warp... I wasn't alive in the 50s, but that's my era none the less. The men were sexier, the clothes were nicer, and people were... well... more normal. lol. I don't like all of this gothic and emo stuff... it confuses me and the 50s were such a simple time... see what I mean? Time warp! I like to be the funny one in my group of friends. I'm sort of the ring leader of my friends, but not really. It's not a power struggle. lol. We do a show all together called the Lemony Taters Show. It's pretty funny and every week there's a new episode up on here in the media area every week I put them up.
I'm extremely conservative and I explain why and to what extent down lower on this about me, which is turning into a short story... I like to talk about myself in case you couldn't tell lol.
Uh, I'm normal and happy with life in general, but it wasn't always that way. Rough patch made life suck for about a year, but then I found myself again thanks to the help of some really fantastic friends. *you know who you are* I found out I could be myself and people would like me. Five years now they've been around and we're not splitting our group up yet. Two more years of High School to ride out! So for anyone depressed, I get it. I was there for a year, but I found out the right way to deal with it and got help. I talked it out and now I'm loving life... every minute of it. Love life now and forever. Don't wait to get help when you're depressed! Life is too short and too precious to give up because of depression!
I'm also an obsessive writer. I've been writing since I was about 10. I just picked up a pen and a piece of paper and began to write and never looked back. All of the stuff I write, or the book I'm working on is about emotions. It's based on feeling for the characters and feeling how they feel. Having it tug at your heart strings and faith. I believe in God and my book is just a reflection of that faith. I've never been to church, but somehow I managed to find a faith in something greater and it just happened to become part of the plot.
The moral of the book is that faith is the only thing that gets you though the tough times and I believe that. I think everything is on a pre determined path and it's how you take it that shapes you as an individual. Me? I hope everything that happened with my mom and the way I handled it helped shape me into a responsible person who does the right thing. I feel like God never gives you more then you can handle and if you believe that nothing seems so difficult. Putting things into proportion also helps. Realizing things in High School will mean almost nothing in the future.
As of now a few things in my life consume me and all of my spare time and otherwise are the following.
2. Sexy Men (most of which are dead *Sigh*)
5. Star Wars/ Indiana Jones
My family is really straight laced... or should I say, conservative when it comes to mostly everything. No tattoos, piercings, hair dyeing, bringing home scuzzy looking men (as if I ever would... YUCK). So yeah... that's kind of why my Avi is so normal. I'm not very out there personality wise so my Avi is really a reflection of my boringness lol. You can also tell that from my profile. I'm really neat and don't like clutter. So I don't have many little random things all over the page because that drives me loopy! Things need to be in a place even on the internet. So yeah, my family is weird I guess, but we like it. We're avid Republicans and are voting for John McCain this up coming election. Though the way I describe us makes us seem stuffy, we're really not. I mean my dad's favorite show is Family Guy for goodness sake. We just happen to have high standards of how we look, appearances, Mine will improve soon enough. My dad doesn't leave the house without a collared shirt so I just kind of learned it. You learn what you live after all!
My biggest pet peeives in school and everywhere are 3 things:
1. People who can't speak English/ speak it properly.
2. Men who look like women.
3. People who like Twilight and bash people like me who don't by telling me such random things as the books I read are stupid. To which I respond, "Since when is Shakespeare stupid???"
lol the second one is kind of a given thanks to my Sexy Men Corner... a man's gotta be manly to catch my attention. Needless to say, in this day and age, I don't turn my head very often XP.
I'm really very normal when I'm alone. I mean I'm goofy, but I'm normal. Calm and chill and usually fairly happy.
In addition my grandma and I have a large collection of movies from the 30's to the 60's. I adore old movies! Actually most of the ones I like are from the 50's. Men were so much sexier back then. *thinks about Rock Hudson and drools*
