This list was taken from Bassfu's Emo Scene Guild, with permission from him. This is an accurate list of "Emo" bands, notice how in this list there is nothing with the words bullet, chemical, romance, last, first, or from? Each link takes you to where you can download each respective artist, if you really care enough too.

I post on another message board, and on this bored there are some members who came up with this concept of trve emo(as opposed to "mall" or fake emo) over time there have been various lists of trve emo bands, well one member of that board has started to make a new list and I thought you guys might be interested in what it looked like at the moment so hear you go.

first of all, AFI started out as a PUNK band, then on Sing the Sorrow it was more 'rock'-ish and like, creepy goth. December Underground is rock, and they even play it on the radio now. Of course, they sold out... but they're definitely NOT emo. stressed

I no, that goes for clothes and everything too. Actually I haven't heard anyone say Goth for a while. Everyone thinks that if it's dark it's emo.

For example: I wore a dark green ACDC shirt, the letters were black and half the people who saw me asked me if I were emo, the other half saw me and said rock on. lol.

JamisonParker(I listen to them sometimes, but only for their good music, but I hate their gay emo lyrics)
The Black Maria (They're more punk rock, but their lyrics are bit emo)
