Welcome to 79.2 G.I.B. Radio Delta 19.

BREAKING NEWS!:We have reports that MTV has now opened a shop on gaia turf.
Many gaians have responded with hostile words and devious plans to destroy this trendy monster. At 3:29PM PST a thread was established to voice the hatred of this intrusion.

At this point in time there are plans for a guild and possibly a petition.
The last attempt was shot down but gaians don't seem to be willing to let this one go.

what will be GiB's part in all of this? That, ladies and gentlemen, is up to you.

While we wait on that, let's talk about what 79.2 can be used for. Has anyone been able to figure out why those numbers were chosen?

Station uses:
*another faction of GIB used for special reports-possibly in the gaia forums
*a way to broadcast special updates through songs
*suggestions for car toons for GIB members
*a place to share interests and what you're listening to right now
*honor songs and artists who represent GIB

UPDATE: The GiB members have spoken and the name of our new radio station is Radio Delta 19!!

Our "Tag" will be: The radio station that doesn't exits... cool
Congrads everyone!!!

Now it's time for us to register DJ names.
No one has to become a DJ but there are fun benifits.
If you're a GiB DJ that means you will be used in events and games sponcered by Radio Delta 19.
It will also be your job to announce information at different times like plot updates and possibly even weather and other fun things going on across the real world if we want to get that in depth with our station.

To register for your name simply post what you would like your DJ name to be and make sure to type out ~Register~ in bold text at the top of your post.
You can include any extra information if you want.

It's kinda funny. I just noticed this was a main forum topic after I made it and went off to read Tim's blog ><

I would LOVE to make a real station but I've got no money so I thought we could play with this thread as if it was a real station.
If we've got "secret announcements" to make to the public we can post them in the GCD as if they're broadcasts from GIB radio. We can use songs to do it.

Like we can post either song titles or links to youtube video's any maybe the order of the songs has something to do with the message.
"the first letter of every song forms a code" or something to that effect.

There can be radio station contests with prizes and maybe a mock radio show?

We can also make playlists(although I don't know how) of music that fits the GIB vibe. The MIB theme, x-files, close encounters,E.T.,signs etc.

Basically it's something like LAWLS.

If we wanted to get real elaborate we can set up an "alien hunt" via profiles.

People can have different songs on their profiles and users have to visit the profiles in the right order to get the message.

EDIT: Since Radio station names mostly consist of four letters, what four letters shall we use? :O

We could do four letter names but I think we need something that's not close to GiB. I'm going to check around for different words that relate to space and themes like that. Do we agree on a theme? I figured we would be going with something alien-ish and secretive but maybe not?

As far as a pod cast. I have no idea what one really is or how we could do it. Can someone explain more about them?

Let's start there. I know we can do that for sure.

I was searching around and I came up with some ideas to run by you guys.
It turns out there's a bunch of constellaions that scientists no longer use.
What if we pick one of them as a possible choice for the radio station name?

One that caught my eye was a small constellation with unknown origins (cool right) based on the owl. I think it was called Noctua.

I should search the latin dictionary for something.

For some reason I started thinking about Pluto's new moons - now Dwarf Planets? xP - Hydra and Nix.
