Vintria is a woman in her mid thirties with the ability to grow plants up. Her ability is strong, but she has very little actual control over the plants, unless they are very close to her. Vinitria has mastered the art of using tree bark as an extra skin around her to keep from getting harmed by bullet shots.
Vintria appeared only just a month ago, and nothing is known about her. She doesn't seem to have a motive, doesn't particularly seem to enjoy what she does, and doesn't seem to ever have an end goal for what she does. She just.... busts out and starts growing plants everywhere and then taunts people. It's kind of unsettling, really... Like watching someone who is just bored as they play some video game they're not interested in. Except she's messing with reality.
The N.S.A. hadn't actually sent Candice out here, but she happened to be in the area when Vintria showed up again. Lookit... she's growing plants out of cement on that main highway there! What are you going to do, Candice, report it or go for it yourself?

Unfortunately Candice was board...
She had beaten the last video game on super hard and was now wandering down the street on her way to get a new one. The last one only lasted a few days but she had heard about a newer version that was supposed to be a lot harder... so hard in fact that only a handful of people had finished it so far. While listening to her iRiver she danced along the street, singing at the top of her lungs...
So here it comes - the sound of drums.

Turning to her right she waited until the light was green before continuing on her journey. Not many people were around so she didn't worry about anyone she knew seeing her. Candice was in exceptional good spirits, especially considering she had spent the morning throwing stuff around her room in her quest for a game she hadn't finished yet...

She passed an odd woman who seemed to be messing with the plant life in the cracks of the pavement. It wasn't until she had sang through the next stanza of the song that her brain put two and two together to get seven. "Wha?" Candice turned and watched the woman... now that was different.

As Candice watched, the plants turned into large trees, and the cars that were coming in the highway, they...well they skidded to a halt before they got themselves in a head-on collision with a large tree in the road. Then the ones behind smacked them and a traffic buildup started.
The woman grinned. Oh, look, more to play with! She caused a root to burst up from under the cement, toppling one car over.
By a fire hydrant, the water line busted. And the woman, securely behind a bark-armor, looked more than ready to carry on.

Things were starting to look serious... it was all when and good when a few greenery was rustling but not when the great forests were coming for a visit. Yanking off her earphones and letting them dangle around her neck she strode over to the odd woman and attempted to get ahold of her arm. "Hey! You arn't supposed to be doing that! People can get hurt! They are not all Nijel Mansel ya know!"
She glanced out over the chaos that was developing around the first accident. One of the larger trucks hadn't stopped in time and was now attempting to ride a smaller beetle. It looked like this pile up was going to get bigger as it was nearing rush hour already. This was not something she could fix in a hurry unless she got the woman to take back the growing she had done... or was that even possible.

Like she was even going to LET a little girl, or anyone, get close enough for her to touch her! The moment Vintria saw Candice coming over, she jumped into a branch that had outstretched for her from the tree, and allowed vines to wrap around her.
Listen to a kid? Hah! She lifted forced another root upwards near the child, hoping to scare her away. She didn't even look to see what was going on there, but turned her attention elsewhere. The flowers that were planted in front of the building could use some growing. . .And that she did, bunching them all outwards and laughing at the dog who barked and backed away and looked super confused about it.

Cadance tried to duck as the branch came for her and was quite surprised when it managed to squeeze her pretty hard. She worried about her iRiver and her gaming unit for a moment before realizing the branch had grabbed her around her waist, not her hips. She would definitely not been pleased had the woman managed to break those. "Hey! Lady! That is not something you should be doing!" Her yelling was futile as the woman turned away to create more mischief.
In a surge of anger Candice glanced around and when she was sure no one was paying particular attention to herself she wiggled slightly and went incorporeal to slip out between the branches coils. While she couldn't do too much to the woman, neither could the woman do too much to her... as long as she didn't know what Candice could do. Unless... Picking up a rock, Candice lobbed it towards the lady's head. an unconscious lady was definitely better than a conscious one.

Candice aim was terrible. Vintria didn't even have to think about wincing as it knocked harmlessly to the side. The lady had already turned and looked at the skinny red-headed speck of geekdom with narrowed eyes, "So you're trying to be a hero?" She demanded, and a small smile formed.
She was up for games today.
She put another round of energy onto the root by Candice, and forced another one up around her, and smiled at the results, "Let's see which of us gets more tired first." She clamped the roots around where Candice had been standing, and pushed them inward to the intangent girl.
Of course she'd known. The tree had told her.

"So what if I am!" Candice looked around for something else to throw. "Maybe I'm just someone who doesn't want to see other people get hurt!" She wasn't quite sure her hand-to-hand stuff she had been working on was that great. While she was very good at DDR the little martial arts she had taken was nothing more than lessons to remind her how uncoordinated she actually was. Though it turned out to be a lost cause as she felt a few roots wrap around her and almost pull herself off the ground. "Hey! What do you think you are doing?"
She felt the roots squeeze in on her before even more wrapped around her until it was getting pretty tight. If she didn't turn incorporeal again she would suffocate! Candice didn't think she could do anything while ghosted but was definitely stuck while she was corporal. She turned intangible once more and this time stayed that way, letting the roots flick through her body. The tingling was un-nerving but she had to think of something she could do.

That was no fun. She wasn't even moving. Vintria sighed in boredom and again focused her attention elsewhere. She smiled at a patch of people and forced the grass under them to spring upwards.
Haha! Look at them scatter from GRASS! Heh! Where were the emergency vehicles? THAT was when things became interesting.
Vintria continued growing her original tree and the vines it it. The upward parts were now entangling themselves in wires ahead. The lower parts were very, very slowly rippling through the cement. It was a slow growth, she seemed interested in making the leaves to grow green and flowers to sprout up. It was an artisitic creation today, or would be at least until she had to really get into action.

With the woman's attention diverted elsewhere Candice tried her new trick. She was still perfecting it but as long as she didn't do anything that would attract too much attention...
Closing her eyes for a moment Candice kept on going insubstantial. She cracked an eye open and hoped that she was completely ghosted. She couldn't keep this for too long but maybe this would be a way to get closer. Slowly she moved forward, trying to use her ghostliness to lesion her footfalls upon the pavement. Her mind whirled as she came up with a plan to incapacitate the woman until the authorities came. Where were they anyways? Looking around she hoped for a rope, chain... something to maybe tie up the woman but she had a feeling that would only be temporary. It took a few minutes but she found herself almost within reach of the crazy plant lady's tree. The woman seemed to be busy growing the tree she was standing in and the look of concentration on her face made Candice wish for some plant killer or something.

Vintria jumped down from the tree, landing inches from Candice, "So, darling," She drawled, "You don't like seeing a lush, gorgeous tree in the middle of winter? You think I'm being inconsiderate to the people?" Her eyes flashed and her voice darkened a little at the last question.

And it didn't work... Candice stayed silent wondering how on earth did the woman know where she was. For a fleeting moment she wondered if she even had a chance before clenching her fists. This woman was hurting people and she was going to stop her at least until the proper authorities showed up. Scooping down towards the ground she spotted litter and other debris that was littered on the ground. The small stuff wouldn't do much but hopefully pester her a little... it was then she spotted the abandoned trolly that some homeless person must have left as they ran away. An idea hatched within her brain.
Dashing to the side where the cart was laying she concentrated and made it incorporeal along with herself. She wouldn't be able to keep anything outside of her grasp ghosted too but then she wouldn't need to. Starting on a quick run she planned on ramming the tree only turning back to normal when it was within the thickening trunk. Plant-life or not... having a shopping trolly sticking through the trunk would have to hinder the growing process at least enough to stall the woman until help came. Candice just hoped she could get out of the way upon turning back to a corporeal state.

Ouch! That was no fun!! The tree's trunk groaned when the trolley materialised, and Vintria growled. Whatever the brat was thinking--- it hurt her beautiful life !
Well-- not that it would stop her. Despite the tree's groans and creaks, its growth process continued and sped up, even though there was a trolley sticking out of it. Within seconds the trolley had been lifted up in the air, firmly lodged through the tree trunk, and the tree was taking on alarmingly high proportions.
"So you like playing, huh?" Vintria drawled, having regained her composure a bit. Vines exploded from the tree side, out of the leaf buds that had grown out of the branches and headed full speed towards Candice.
"TAG, you're it!" Vintria smirked.
