It took a while for the youngest of Saix and Ayako's kids to persuade his mother to go to his father's house for Christmas. Whatever he said, she was able to give a retort, making her stand. She was not going.
"But Kitsumi would be delighted!"
"Your dad won't." Her curt reply made him sigh and he shrugged, pretending to give up as he created a portal with a wave of his paw.
"Well," He said slowly, taking his time to walk over to the black and dark purple swirls. "It's Christmas. And Swax and Xelon are gonna be there. I asked them to." His whole family together, it would be awesome.
At the mention of her other kids, Ayako's head jerked up and turquoise eyes stared at him, hesitant now. He stared back at her, his eyes reminding her of his father and she sighed, relenting as she walked to the portal. "A little while wouldn't hurt."
He grinned, loping into the portal itself as it closed and re-opened another to their destination.

Swax had been outside romping in the snow (and probably seeking out someone else to experiment on) when the sheer boredom of a lot of -nothing- had driven her back inside, just in time for her mother and brother to suddenly be dumped on the floor.
While being half-emotionless gave for her to not actually be surprised by the sudden appearence, her brain's logic went 'GO FOR IT' and she suddenly let out a yelp of surprise and tried to scale up the wallpaper, sitting latched to the highest point on a coat-rack she could find, tails wrapped around it, until she looked down to find..
...
Well, she'd known it was them, but at least she'd been a source of -some- entertainment.
Dropping down, she checked for her pulse (which, again attributed to her father's side of the family, she knew she wasn't going to find), before shaking one paw, pondering on declaring 'HEY LOOK BRO. NO PULSE' for a moment, before deciding it would be better for her mother not to, before laughing a bit. "Geeze! Way to scare me!" she announced.

Snow was falling lightly as Xelon made his way through the winter landscape. He stopped briefly to study a pawprint he had made before quickly resuming his trek to the Mountain.
Xanul had asked him earlier to meet him at their father's house. Christmas was a time for family gatherings, after all. And, as he was keen on seeing his relatives again, Xelon had eagerly complied. Though now he was having second thoughts regarding the means of travel.
"Ugh..." He muttered to himself, wiping a bit of snow from his face as the house finally came into view. "I need to remember to ask Mother about Apparition lessons." With a sigh he bounded up the last few steps to the porch and shook himself dry.
Xelon tugged on the doornob sharply, fully expecting the door to open, though he ended up with nothing but the doorknob in paw. ".....what..?" he said in disbelief, grumbling as he extracted his wand from inside his shirt. "This house needs renovations... Reparo." The doorknob reattached itself in its proper place, and Xelon tugged on it once again... to no avail.
He had to bite his tongue to keep himself from blasting the door down, though managed to get by with a muttered Alohomora through clenched teeth, and, as the lock clicked and the door swung open, poked his head inside to see.... half his family fall out of nowhere. This bit of information was still registering in his head when a sudden yelp caused him to jump, lose his footing, and fall smack through the door and onto the carpet.
"....aaaagh..."

After his entrance, Xanul was shocked, letting loose a small yelp as his sister practically careened past him and shot up the wall, craning his neck to give her an astounded look before he sat back and laughed in amusement. "Well, you almost gave me a heart attack! Well, if I had one or...well, you know." He fumbled at the end of the sentence, then brushed away all thoughts about it.
Ayako however, had only raised an eyebrow at her daughter's antics, and offered Swax a smile, happy to see her. She padded around to check the house, ears perked to listen for any kitsu. "No one's home. Yet." Her empath powers confirmed that no one was here, except for her and her kids.
Xanul's head jerked up in shock as the door opened and their brother simply slipped and fell down. "Xelon!" He yelped, scrambling over to peer at him with worry. "Are you okay?" It wasn't long till Ayako was beside him. "You should be more careful." She said, but a smile spread on her lips. These were her children after all.

"Right as rain, brother dear..." came the muffled reply from the floor. "The ol' failing eyesight and all that, you know. Pretty soon I'll need to recruit you as my seeing-eye...brother. Or I could just get new glasses." He blinked up at Xanul with a straight face.
Xelon was sprawled comically and he made no move to rise from his place on the carpet. "Father needs to fix his door..." he continued calmly, this time to his mother. "I'll tell Aunt Kismii to pass the message along." He still preferred to use the nickname for Kitsumi from when he was little. "Though Father will probably be in the same room at the time to hear it." He paused as if to think it over before shrugging. "...no matter."
He raised his head and wagged his tails, as if it were absolutely normal to be holding a conversation lying on the ground. Xelon then turned his attention to his sister. "And way to scare me," he huffed. "What an entrance we all made."

"You and I both! You managed to give me one -without- the nessecary portion of that statement." she pointed out, dumping herself on the floor into the same ungraceful position that Xelon had struck, before stucking her tongue out at him while also wagging her tails at him, complete with her little tail-flag.
"Well, I was here first, so technically you all scared -me-. You're just a pansy who got scared as an afterthought." she teased, pawing at her floored brother, before tilting her head up to look at her mother and smiling as innocently as her little face could muster, muscle wise.
Note to self: Smiling this way from this position -hurts- she thought to herself, before rolling over on the carpet to toss herself on Xelon for a moment, before popping up to go give her mother a bit of a snuggle-head-butt 'nice to see you' gesture.
"Hi there, mom!"

He shook his head in amusement and returned her gestures by sticking out his tongue a little bit. Golden eyes stared back down at his brother and a yellow tipped paw pushed his dark fringe out of his eyes. "I recommend the latter. Or you could just get a girl to help you." A mischievous grin was aimed at Xelon, along with a raised eyebrow.
Ayako's eyes traveled to the door, well the empty space that was the door, anyways, while her oldest son talked. Making no comment, she drew up her wand and repaired the door with a slight flick.
Xanul shook his head, laughing. "Using a portal is a perfectly normal way to enter." He teased. "Maybe you should learn Apparition. I don't like it myself though." It was lucky he had inherited that of his father's powers, then.
"Hello, Swax. How have you been?" Ayako returned it with a nuzzle and a growing smile.
