Hello and welcome to Mental, the game in which fantasy, macabre, psychology, and novelistic story elements all mesh as one to make a huge dead-baby smoothie of fun!
Remember the School of Dedicated Roleplayers? I'm bringing back Mental, the premier roleplay from the formerly spotlighted guild...soon...and I want YOU to join me! First thing's first. You're probably wondering if the Roleplay was any good to begin with, right? Here's the link to some valuable information that also will lead, indirectly, to the actual subforum where this RP was originally kept.

I'm recruiting. For a guild of mine - a final effort, if you will, to revitalize a long-working roleplay trilogy I call the Darwin Chronicles. Mental is a huge part of that trilogy. You can gather what you like from the sample I've included, but there's a lot more than meets the eye. First off, we won't even be starting there. We'll be starting with a completely different project - Part 1 of 3. What you saw was the third and final (yet failed) chapter of something I believe you'll find very exciting.
Now, I'm not one to show my hand off the draw, so I'm just going to fill you all in on a small portion of what is at hand here:
Okay, so Mental and its surrounding chapters all are part of a HORROR-FANTASY, DICE-ROLL, TURN-BASED Final Fantasy style game. The game focuses on a cause-effect relationship with the environment, and the story is rewritten as you make one of the millions of choices available to you. You may be playing as a human...or you may find yourself part of a race completely different from us. Who knows. Just be aware that this game is a hell of a lot of fun for anyone who has the time to sit down and really work - and fall in love with a story.
Mental has always been and will continue to be a very, VERY literate roleplay, with posts ranging from a paragraph to a page, depending. Short posts, however, are encouraged when necessary.
Finally, I do most of the work. Your actions will be decided by you, but I have all of the information and formulas necessary to calculate their outcomes. You are in VERY good hands.

Note that when I say LEAD roles I mean free to play a good deal. Granted, small parts may advance their status at any time, but I reserve the term "lead" for quantity over quality at this point in time.
