I'm switching from Clarinet to Tenor next Semester,
and I wanted to know if it was hard.
I heard they had similar fingerings, but still.
Any advice or little tidbits of info on the subject?

I play both.

They are both generaly the same......

With the tenor, to get the high register notes, you just have to press the octave key, and its the same note, but a different octave.

The fingerings are the same for the Tenor sax as the clarinet's upper register.

I wish I could play Tenor D;
Sadly I have to stay as a clarinet siiince I dunno.
I wasn't ever given a reason.
But I do enjoy the sound of a Tenor Sax ^^

Goood luck!

I think that the register F natural for Sax is F# for Clarinet.
That's what it was for Alto.
It's hard to find a Tenor player with good tone.
But it's most likely you'll be able to play it, at least.

Fingerings for sax are really easy to learn. They're all really logical and from memory, the same as recorder.

Sax is one of the easiest instruments to learn because there are fingerings for a certain number of notes, and then you just press the octave key and you've got another octave of notes.
