Not a day goes by
When you have to write letters to your loved one what kinds of things do you say? What kinds of things do you avoid saying? Got any letters recently? Need help writing your first letter? Etc.
That I don't think of you

my hubby and i haven't done any letters yet, but whenever he goes to the field i try to write him some type of note, often with our own code we use the phrase Always and Forever basically, I love you, Always and forever which is shortened to A and F, so it goes with a text message and stuff
I'm actually getting a tattoo that says Always and Forever, with Kanji around it, Mother and Wife, though that has to wait til after we have kids

I'm waiting on a letter from my boyfriend. And I've written a few things. I write to him what I would like to receive. Being told your missed is wonderful but personally if I was getting letters at boot camp or off at some other training I wouldn't want to read an entire letter saying that one thing. I write about what's happening here so he (or anyone else I'm writing to, yes there are a few people I'm close to in the military) feels included. The last thing from what I experience they want is to feel out of the loop.

I received my first letters from my boyfriend in the Navy today. At first I was so happy. So happy just to read his words and imagine his voice. But as I read and long after it had sunk in Sadness struck hard. It just feels like all I can do is sit here. And it's bothering me

When I write to him, it had been about how I was dealing with Basic Training & how much I liked some activities better than others as well as whatever drama we were having at the barracks. Right now it doesn't matter since I'm home [on med. leave], so he can call when he wants instead of having to write all the time to me. After all, it takes his letters a long time to get to me & an equally long time for my letters to get to him. The not so great part about him being in Iraq. >__> In January it becomes all letters again since I have to get back out to the Fort [snow & frost here I come!], & that will most definitely not be fun.

well i will speak for my wife but i love receiving letters from her while i am away! as long as it is not no Jodie letter im happy as can be she can write a story on just how she loves me lol.. i also send her cameras and she sends me pics of shat she's doing at home! so its a nice trade plus i get to see my home state while away!.
i try and send a letter out everyday but if i miss one i explain in the next! and seeing that the military is slow no matter what with mail i only get it like once or twice a week if im lucky.. but hey i get more letters to read all in one sitting razz
anyways moral is it's a great thing to do because it strengthens your relationship i think and helps on building better communication with your loved one and provides security that your alright and doing fine!
