It had been a few days, but still, the kitsu couldn't believe it. He was an adult now. Full grown. His dark tails nervously twitched as he stepped out of the portal into the Mountain. For some reason, he loved spending time in the Mountain, probably because his dad was nearby and he could spend some time alone, away from all the many creatures at home.

The half-Nobody padded through the grass, silver chain jingling at his chest merrily as he walked along, searching for a place he could practice his magic without disturbance. He settled for a shady spot under a tree and inhaling a deep breath, took out his willow wand.

"Expecto Patronum." The spell was said rather softly, as he hoped not to attract attention to himself, so it was no surprise that only a soft silver mist erupted from the wand. Concentrate, Xanul. He told himself, squeezing his golden eyes shut to think.

Today was quiet to say the least. Her little dusk was gone for the while so there was no one to pester her on endlessly. Marluxia and her children were gone too making it easier for her to keep a clear mind. Of course she had to wonder on what she would do today then. Such a warm sunny day could not be wasted, after all.

She was currently walking around the meadows of the Mountain, her hood over her head so that no one would know who she was. They would know she was apart of Organization XIII, yet they would not know enough from just the coat to tell who she could possibly be under the hood. It was bothersome to say the least, having her identity stashed away under leather. Yet it was for the best.

Aimlessly wandering around eventually led her to the woods, when her hearing caught the clanking of a chain. Either someone was wearing too much black in the sun or there was another Nobody near. Most of them seemed to wear chains, for one reason or another after all.

"Expecto, expecto..." Xanul mumbled, swishing his wand aimlessly. Ugh! This wasn't going to work! And Ayako had made it look so easy. He sighed. His mother was an experienced witch after all...

But how come all he could produce was mist? He was wondering what his Patronus would take shape, what animal it would form. His mother's was a leopard, and he was fascinated by the logic; Ayako had many similarities to the predator.

A figure dressed in black caught his eye and he looked up. That coat...He gasped, fumbling and almost dropped his wand. Another of the Organization? He had never seen any with their hood up though...

"Uh... hi?" He called out tentatively.

Larxene was going to ignore the clanking but then it addressed her. Or rather the one that caused the clanking sound. She looked at him curiously, wondering why there was a wave of familiarity around him. It didn't appear as if she could recall his presence ever being around her before yet why, oh why, was he so damn familiar?

"State your identity, stupid looking kid," she bluntly spat at the other, glaring at that wand in his hand. Magic? Well if she could control lightning from time to time then perhaps it didn't seem completely far-fetched?

Looking at his details closer she noticed that his front paws were outlined with a blue and yellow gradient. Yet it wasn't a blue and yellow like her own. It was much more darker in color. And that chain. That was a chain similar to most Organization members, yet he was surely not one at all.

...Could there be a...no, that can't possibly be it. She paused, a smirk creasing onto her features under her hood. But if it is, then I believe I just found my boredom killer of the day.

Xanul blinked, looking at the other from head to toe. Which Organization member could it be? He wondered, crinkling his forehead slightly with a frown as he thought. His golden eyes wandered to the tails, which were the only ones not covered by leather. He'd never seen an Organization member with that markings before. So it wasn't either Demyx, or Dad.

Two down, eleven more to go. He heaved a sigh. They weren't easy to recognize with the hood up, dammit. He wondered if they ever played "Guess which Organization member is under the Hood" or something like that, before.

"Uhhh. I'm Xanul?" He ventured, flashing the other a friendly grin. "The Luna Diviner's son?" He had no idea why he used his father's title, of all things but still. It could have been some impostor, like Xianthe, who claimed she was part of the Organization, yet she wasn't really.

It wasn't that hard to get a black coat. Since Riku had one too.

And just like that, Larxene's eyes lit up.Hello, new pet peeve. She quickly skewered her smirk into a polite grin, making sure to seem as nonthreatening as possible. This would be tough. Making a small audible 'ah' sound she grabbed the edges of her hood with her gloved paws and swished her hood away from her head. Her blond hair and dangling antennas jumped up and down a little from the air that blew on them. Sharp eyes stared down at the boy before her.

Saix's son. She made a small 'humph' sound to herself in triumph. And he told me himself he 'would /never/ create children if it was the last thing he did'. Stupid old dog.

"Very nice to meet you, Xa-nul," she greeted, clicking out his syllables with glee. "My name is Larxene, but I'm quite sure your father has told me all about you."

Yes, she knew better. Saix was a paranoid old fart. He wouldn't want his child hanging around an attractive thing like herself. That and she did have a nasty habit of seeing others suffer without any self-remorse.

Even without mentioning who she was, he knew her identity as she removed her hood. Larxene, the Savage Nymph. The only girl in the organization. Though her title was quite bemusing. Savage. Larxene didn't look like she would just hunt her prey and take it back to her home, ripping bloody meat apart from the bone.

You can't judge a book by the cover. A voice sang inside of him. Still, it's a little too early to judge her, right? Since he had just met her and all.

"Um, well, yeah. Dad said not to go to you if I had any questions about the Organization." For some reason apparently. What was it that Xianthe said? Larxene was mean. Demyx had confirmed that.

She didn't seem so bad to him though.

Larxene scoffed at his reply. "Your dad? He's such an old man. Doesn't know west from east anymore," she paused, clicking her tongue, "and that scar? Looks like he's a war hero...or failure."

She was sure others told him the same as Saix. There was no doubt in her mind about such. In her mind a small list of people formulated. It...was a bit long, so to speak. She shrugged, taking the thought out of her mind. Didn't matter now; she accomplished at what they sought to do. She was the victor and she was now going to savor her prize.

"Perhaps your dad, was just...scared. I mean I have seen much doing, and I see why Saix would want to lie to you for as long as possible." She gave Xanul a toothy grin. "Of course, I can tell you. Unless you /want/ to live in forever ignorance~"

Ah yes, that was right. Lure them in with the promise of worldly riches. Then when their curiosity gets the best of them, go in for the kill.

Immediately, the kitsu went to the defense of his father. "He's not old." He protested, flicking his tails in slight irritation. And the scar was cool! His sister had it too.

Well, Xanul hadn't met much of the organization, to say the truth. Besides Saix, he had met only Demyx. And Xigbar was a distant relative, but he had only met his children.

"Scared?" He questioned after a much worried pause. What...had his father done? His black tails curled around each other nervously. It was true Saix never said much of the Organization and what Xianthe had taught him were mostly lies. So he never knew what happened in the Organization. "What..." He forced his voice to sound braver, accentuating it with a slight grin. "Happened to Dad?"

Larxene shrugged. "If 60 is the new 30, then yes- your dad is certainly young. However, in my book if you're old your old. No use saying that if you feel thirty then you /are/ thirty." Poor people. She pitied them because of their paranoia of growing older.

...Okay so maybe she didn't really pity them. No reason to, it was their fault to begin with; glamorizing age so much. But she digressed.

When Xanul took her bait she could only suppress a smirk from teeming onto her thin lips. This was going to be enjoyable. "Your father was quite the brown-noser. He was Number Seven, but Superior treated him like second in command. You could only wonder why Saix was so revered in Superior's eyes."

Yes, keep them hanging. Soon enough you'll let them fall, but for now just keep stalling.

The kitsu looked hesitant, then shrugged. His father didn't seem old to him, but he wasn't about to argue back. No use kicking up a big fuss over these matters.

"Wellll, I knew that." Xanul began slowly, his ears twitching slightly. There was a lot he knew, from numbers to titles to names. They were all stuck in his memory, thanks to a certain Nobody warning him that she was going to test him."I thought of asking Uncle Xigbar, since he's number two...but isn't it just because Dad is competent?" His voice had a tone of uncertainty to it however. He somehow dreaded where this was going.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 24, 2007 9:42 pm

Larxene scoffed lightly, letting her finger move around boredly, creating small sparks subconciously. This boy had a lot of spunk, trying to talk back to her about matter she had almost no understanding of. Yet how could she blame him? He is Saix's son. The man has something stuck up himself and refuses to let it be pulled out.

"While yes, your father does have a few more brain cells than...wait, /Uncle/ Xigbar?" She digressed in confusion. This kid was also related to Xigbar?! Man am I glad none of my demon spawns are part of this tree. She thought both sourly and gratefully. Sighing, she continued away from her digression.

"Anyway, the point is- your father isn't anymore competent then his elders. Vexen for example is one of the smartest members and yet while your father wasn't one of the original six he's still put second in command. Understand: it isn't a matter of /why/ Xigbar isn't second in command, but rather: why is your father /specifically/ put on the pedestal?"

An eyebrow arched as he observed the sparks. Well, Xanul was a little like his father, stubborn and all. Then again, he stuck up for father in matters that he didn't even understand. The half-Nobody was all for his family.

"Well, yeah." It occurred to him that not all of the Organization knew that Saix was now related to Xigbar. "See, Xigbar's mate is my grandmother's sister." He somehow found this cool though; that the two Nobodies were now family.

Ah yes, Vexen. What was it? He searched his mind for the right title. The Chilly Academic or something. Some scientist or professor perhaps? "Original six?" He repeated with confusion. No one had told him about that before. Xanul was becoming more confused every second. "So...why?" He asked slowly, clutching his wand tightly with a paw.

Larxene could only /try/ and feel remorse for the kid. Saix was really keeping him in the dark. This kid just assumes that because Saix is 'capable' (of what is to be unheard of) that he automatically qualifies for whatever. Just because one guy can fix an engine and another can fix a radio doesn't mean that they'll get hired. Probably because one more guy can do /both/.

"Your grandmother's sister?" Larxene asked herself. She didn't meet Xigbar's wife yet, but Xigbar certainly whined about how much he wanted to 'do her' before they ended up being together. And in the end they get children from it. Sucks to be him. She smirked at her thoughts happily.

She shrugged, giving off the appearance of a clueless little woman. "Beats me kid. Maybe you can ask him? I mean, I would but he has shown his dislike of me quite often.~"

Not that she blamed Saix. She would know; she (being herself) was not to be trusted.

Waittt. Demyx had told him about the original six, didn't he? Yep, the memory was coming back to him. "Well, yeah. I haven't met him yet, but I've met his kids." Only one or two of them though. Xanul hadn't met some of his other half-nobody cousins, although he wished he did.

"The only thing he mentioned about the Organization is that he's number seven." The kitsu said bluntly. He had gotten information from Demyx and Xianthe, but the latter wasn't much to be trusted. "I don't think he'll tell me even if I bug him."
