"Gentlemen, we can rebuild her. We have the technology...." Oh lord, it's you. o-o
Actually, I just bought the 6th book myself this week. It was good, but sad. I hated how they took Eureka from Renton at the end. And that Domi died. He was actually doing well in the manga version.....
"We can make her stronger, faster, better......but not smarter."

Well she did put a warning on the thread title so only a fool would enter into this and complain about it xp jk I love you guys
o.O I'm a little scared now that she has returned and wasn't eaten by said anit-bodies...curse my bad information source...
But anyway the manga was said to be different in many ways, and now you've finally found out another one. But yeah it sucked big time that neither Renton or Dominic got the girl to the very end...

.... Thats interesting. I guess I'm not gonna read that manga then. If an ending sucks it kinda ruins how great the rest of the story was.

I hate to double post, but I re-read the manga all the way through once more and what might be a slit hope crossed my mind...
Yes, sadly Dominic died but at least he died for what he believed in and the one he loved; that and how to flow of the manga was going...it sorta forshadowed his death to come.
Now my idea on Renton and Eureka is different. In the end the coralians decide to live on and they leave the planet in search of another like in the series. Thus Eureka doesn't die and the coralians are still alive like Renton believes, but at the end of the manga when Renton is now 17 a new hope began to shine. When he is holding his hand out towards the sky there is a brilliant rainbow, clear sky, and sunny outside. Yet after that it pans over to the others who are all now staring at the sky like something amazing is coming from it to them. Then I flipped back the pages and saw that Renton had also been staring at the sky like he was expecting something to grab his hand. Then on the last page of the manga Renton's hand is being held by none other then Eureka's?? I thought maybe this was just an illusion for the end but her hand is drawn in solid form, that and the last panel shows the empty sky now full of skyfish.
So to me it looks like after those two years of being alone the coralians finally returned to Earth, and the now 17 year old Renton got the love of his life and a happy ending...?

I know that Eureka didn't die so that's why I put it in quotations "dies" But personally I like the Anime ending cause you see Domic stay with the one he loved. I mean after all he went through just to have him die is pretty pathetic...in my opinion. And for Eureka returning and all that...it just leaves off with a "... so now what..." type of ending. Like a cliffhanger where anything can happen. I really dislike those types of endings, and they are mostly in animes but when I saw it in the manga it just kinda killed the whole manga for me sad
