I was doing some investigation on the popularity of Death Note(since I cannot comprehend how a show with such utterly negative characters and story can be so popular), and stumbled upon this article on Blood Types. If you don't want to read it all, it basically uses a person blood type, to determine what kind of personality they have, or if it matches them. For a ballpark of what I'm saying, it's similar to how we use Astrological signs here in the west(though that is also utilized on Eastern cultures). So, in short, what do you all think of personality by blood types, or of fortune telling type things in general?

I think blood types are great for the sake of its entertainment value, like when you're trying to identify characters in a game or anime, but they should never be taken too seriously if you're trying to find your soulmate (in real life) or as a means to judge a person. There are WAY too many factors involved that could affect one's personality and attitudes towards things.
I don't know what my bloodtype is actually, but I think I could be a Type O... question

Type O Best Traits: Agreeable, sociable, an optimist. Worst Traits: Vain, careless.
I think they have me completely backwards, but OK.

I find that Blood Typing is a little too narrow.
I mean, I'm critical, sensitive, creative, rational but selfish and irresponsible. So what am I?

Redlady I find that Blood Typing is a little too narrow. I mean, I'm critical, sensitive, creative, rational but selfish and irresponsible. So what am I? Someone who doesn't like stuff like Blood typing and the Zodiac?

Someone who doesn't like stuff like Blood typing and the Zodiac? Actually, I like it. I spent years studying Astrology, tea leaf reading and the Tarot cards. It's fun but I don't take it very seriously. Most of the Personality based fortune-telling tend to narrow people down into categories and stereotypes. But I find the symbolism of the Tarot exceptionally deep and meaningful. I even wrote my own collection based on them. >_<

It takes a lot of work to figure out all the implications of what's going to happen... Though it's really not accurate.

This idea of determining personality from blood types reminds me very much of the idea of the four humors. eek
