Could you explain you strategy to burn with the Cloudians?
Are they to defend you while you play other burn cards?
I guess I'll have to tell you. Also I don't own any of those cards so I did a little research. Anyway..
- His plan was to get [Spirit Barrier] while his (most) Cloudian monsters are unable to be destroyed in battle.
- Create many "Fog Counters" so he can either activate
[Updraft] (Remove all Fog Counters from the field. Inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each Fog Counter you removed) or
[Diamond - Dust Cyclone] (Select 1 monster with 4 or more Fog Counters. Destroy it and then draw 1 card for every 4 Fog Counters that were on it.)
- To get more Fog Counters, he will use a continuous spell card called [Cloudian Squall] (During each of your Standby Phases, place 1 Fog Counter on every face-up monster)
- The only problem is the rest of the Burn Cards are filler.. (Thats what I think)
- 3x Reflect Bounder (Not many people aren't that stupid to run into them)
+ 1x Marshmallon
+ 1x Mystical Space Typhoon/ Heavy Storm [1 of each] (Oh sure the Cloudians can't be destroyed in battle, but what if your opponent set [Torrential Tribute]) Dun dun dun~
+ 1x Cannon Soldier (As Shobu [Duel Master] would say "Finish it!")Thanks.
As for my suggestions, you should really have
Fog Control (tribute 1 face-up "Cloudian" monster you control. Place 3 Fog Counters on 1 face-up monster) if you want to get as many of those counters out on the field as possible. Since you tribute a "Cloudian" monster your
Smoke Balls can be used for it. You could maybe add another
Turbulence for that reason but 2 is alright.
Nimbusman is another must card (this card cannot be Special Summoned. All Battle Damage to either player from a battle involving this monster becomes 0. If this card is destroyed by battle, distribute new Fog Counters equal to the Level of the monster that destroyed it among face-up monsters).
If
Updraft is your key card, you should have 3 of them.
Other good cards to add are
Agidoa,
Nova Summoner,
Mask of Darkness,
Dark Room of Nightmare, and maybe 2 more
Posion Clouds.
On another note, I think the
Reflect Bounders are good (maybe just have 2). It's a double-edged sword for the opponent to attack: get rid of monster but lose lots of damage. If you do have
Spirit Barrier however, then it would be highly unlikely they would attack them.
