so, big musical is coming up, rite? we're in the last few days, and everything is really starting to come together~ we had our first dress rehearsal today and it went great.
except that one of our crew members decided that the work was too hard and he just decided to leave. ... which leaves us with like, 3 people in total running stage left. >: which isn't enough to do everything we need to do, since we have more things to move on and off than stage right.
of course, stage right has plenty of people - all of them giggly girls that won't separate even if we need them to {spoiler: we do}, so. gonk
It just really pisses us off, since, you know - you signed *up* to serve backstage. sad You can't just leave us during opening week because it was too hard. what really sucks is that we need to find a replacement someone in like, 3 days. sad and teach them what to do and aghh.
They've actually been recruiting cast members like 'HEY R U DOING ANYTHING NEXT SCENE? NO? GOOD! NOW U MOVE THAT, AND U TAKE THAT ON STAGE'
Its just utter chaos back there. XD on the plus side, the musical itself is great. <3 and our SET. I want to get a picture of it to show you guys. Seriously, the musical could just, go straight to Hell and I'd still be happy because our set looks amazing. 8D
so i'm really excited for this, overall. sux that jerks had to leave us, though. sad we really need more crew people, wahh~
so, PPS, anything exciting to look forward to? Dealt with people who just, up and quit in the middle of a project? MUSICALS~
{ p.s; guys who i owe art to, from like, forever ago - i swear to god i haven't forgotten, its been so long since I've checked back here. XD }

I hear you calling and it's needles and pins I want to hurt you just to hear you screaming my name
When I was working as a monster at a haunted maze, we had these two girls who were into it not at all. Plus, they were minors, so they couldn't always get a ride. (At three in the damn morning? On a school night? They should be in bed anyways. >.<)
So we ended up with two rat ladies, my friend and my stupid boss. I was supposed to be with them, but we were so understaffed they put me in charge of the air and fog machines. I also had to jump out of that closet and grab people through the walls.
So it wasn't bad, and that's still the funnest job I ever had, but goddamn, girls, why'd you even show up?
Don't want to touch you but you're under my skin I want to taste you but your lips are venomous poison

Our musical was chaos, it was horrible. The lead dude didn't even know all his words! One of the lead people quit 2 weeks before so my brother tok over the part and learned all the lines in 2 weeks. 2 weeks versus 4 months. That was ridiculous.

Umm... last year there was this play, and a guy skipped about three practices (even though he could've got a ride with somebody else once, and another time he went to the movies with a friend because he "forgot") and so he was automatically out. And that sucked.
And, ooh! I just got the music for the orchestra pit to try out for, "Damn Yankees", by the way, and yeah. Just the fact of musical talkings about on the same day. Never mind.
So what musical are you guys doing?

Uh, that sucks majorly!
I would totally be a super hero right now and come to your rescue, except I don't live anywhere near you. D=
Last year I was in a play (it was a crappy middle school so there were only 8 characters and every part was a pretty big part.) and a week before the performance one of the girls said "Oh yeah... by the way... I can't be here for two of the three performances. Luckily she had been practicing with her friend Amanda who knew all of the lines.

Grin Evilly says: Aw.
I was in a play like that last year, and my friend Amber was going to do a part with me. We were two little fairy things.
And then she decided to quit because the drama teacher got angry with her about something, so she was a baby and quit.
And I ended up having to spend like... two hours trying to mesh the lines together so it seemed somewhat good, and then memorize it and say it all by myself upstage.
Twas shitty.

Oh, ouch.
If any of our leads quit, Mr. Loete { my acting teacher/director for this } would kill them. Seriously. The only thing that keeps a lead from performing is like, death, for our shows.
Oh, and we're doing All Shook Up. <3 Youtube has a few videos of other high schools/community theatres that did it, but... ours is better. D:< If I can get pictures/video for you lot, I will. XD I'll employ people in the audience to do it, I mean.
Agh, our first show is today, so nervous. >w<

It's so annoying when people don't fulfill the promises they make. As for giggly girls, I'd suggest telling them exactly what needs to be done. Get a teacher or some sort of authority figure to direct people. 3nodding
