I was sitting around thinking about why anyone could ever possibly be happy when everything is so damn repetitive and tedious... Then I realized some things, then I jotted it down on paper, then I typed it in notepad, then I copied that to word, then I fixed the horrible grammatical errors... sweatdrop

Anyways. I wrote this sad I "HIGHLY" suggest reading the word one, it looks much prettier crying )

Quote:
My pessimistic view of the world, the explanation behind it, and comparing it to optimism.
Thought Results:

The world consists of endless and limitless patterns. The difference between any image, any story, or any activity is simply the pattern in which; the pixels of viewpoint are, the explanation or pattern of words were, or the pattern in which the activity is played out.
Humans, animals, and other things learn from these patterns. We all know that repeating any pattern will get a similar result as the last, we all know rolling five die in a cup will always have a die involved, it will always have a numbered result, and it will always have a number between six and thirty involved. There is almost nothing random at all about it. The die's “six” side is slightly lighter than all the other sides, giving "snake eyes" a little more advantage in odds to come up than any other two numbers.
Knowing all this; why do we even play with dice? It's not embracing anything random, there is little "infinite" possible outcome to dice. So why does a gambler react so dramatically when he gets snake-eyes? It is the "limitless" side of dice that brings his attention and keeps him rolling. Not knowing "for sure" it will come up snake ees again, or let you win double your betting.
So, why do people embrace chance outcome, or almost expected results? Because emotions are the "limitless" side to all patterns. A pattern can come out explainable or the same almost ever single time. There is nothing "amazing" about it, and nothing "Amazing" happens.
Science can claim to know the problem and solution to everything, or try to find the problem and solution, then every possible outcome, but what it all boils down to is; just knowing that the only thing saying there is a problem, is one's feelings and/or emotions on the matter. No amount of text alone without a consciousness that can validate and/or feel can even say reality exists. No problem, no matter how severe, can exist without something saying it is a problem.

Emotions define us and our perception. "I think, therefore I am" is not a completely false, but not entirely accurate statement. I call "Yahtzee" because "I feel, therefore I am".

My view of the world in pessimism roots from me being bored with almost everything and its limitless patterns. I always saw nothing, but the patterns. I never understood why anyone would ever get excited over anything. I never understood why anyone would ever be happy, the world is nothing but atoms in motion, right?
Well, I completely disregarded emotions and feelings because they are sometimes inaccurate or wrong. I disregarded anything that isn't set in stone, because otherwise it doesn't make sense, but happiness doesn't make sense either.
The entire concept of "Random" doesn't make sense, because there is almost never a random, unless it involves feeling or emotion, simply because feelings vary from person to person. There is no scientific equation that equals infinity, or random. Only random=random, or inf.=inf. Zero isn’t limitless; zero is the lack of anything. The limit of zero is existence.
The only thing random or limitless in this world is conscious imagination, feelings, and emotions.

I hope you’ve felt something reading this compilation of non-random patterned words, set together in structure and rules. Highly unlike what you’re using to think about it, and to consider whether it was even ever worth it.

The word document is here: For those who like Lucida Bright, better paragraph settings, and Microsoft Word.

EDIT: I was afraid to post what I wrote because half the time I have these random revelations there's someone there going "wtf?... You didn't know that? It's like the most obvious thing I've ever heard of." And my other friends going "yeah... great... sweatdrop "

You have the writing style of a philosopher. gonk

THAT is probably the most defining difference between us. I had a friend once tell me that he represents the logic, and I represent the emotion, and that between us maybe we could learn the other trait from each other. That kinda reminds me of you.

I don't disregard logic; I can be a skeptic along with the best of ya'll. But, emotions and feelings are my number one source of "evidence", so to speak. I consult them first, and last, in everything I say and do. I may argue against you drawing upon half a dozen books, but I won't even think about arguing against you unless I feel the topic is important, and I won't hit the 'submit' button unless I feel 'right' about it.

You're right; things are just a conglomeration of repeated patterns. My English teacher once told me there are only a few plots that all stories repeat in different ways. But depth doesn't lie in the patterns; humanity doesn't lie in the repetition. It's the hope that maybe someday, something will break free of the patterns; the hope that the die will someday read '7'. It's how we struggle and writhe, how we fight with everything we have against the limits, against what we logically know will happen. Optimists just struggle a little more. And it's that struggle, it's how we get there that makes life beautiful and exciting.

Exactly. It's the emotional reaction to the patterns, or struggle through the patterns that brings us joy, or sadness.

I'm done being logical, logic can go kill itself with a rusty spork, it's too depressing. I'm going to use logic in the background from now on. And as Josh said last night

Nice, I am a quote. And I think it's true. Pursue rightness and facts, and what do you have? Nothing, unless you can relate it to living a meaning human life. In an infinite universe, there will be infinite facts that don't matter unless you can relate them back to you, and that's how that is.
