As you all know, Bats is working hard on a tourney for the guild. As a vice- captain here, i figure it's my duty to contribute. kinda goes against my lazy nature and whatnot, but what the hell? So, my first order of business is to have those who plan yo participate in said tourney post here a sample RP. It doesn't have to be a battle type just something in general. if you have other RPs you participate in, just paste that here in a post. gives us an idea of where you are so when the matches are set, they will be a bit more balanced, ya know? Pleasse, nothing too dirty. i honestly don't mind but i am sure the guild will be blitzed by reportings if yall just get nasty >.< And write as naturally as you can while maintaining the best quality you have. if you dunce out on this, you may end up very much ungratified wit hyour first opponent or whatever.

all right well i am gonna post my rp sample...its not great but here it is.

Samantha walked slowly through the woods. She had been alone now for several days due to the war against all of the villages, and was hoping to find someone soon. She stopped and looked around.
“that’s weird….I could have sworn I heard footsteps”
She said softly to herself as she continued to walk. A few minutes later she stopped again.
Samantha looked around and began to worry. She heard the footsteps getting closer and she didn’t know what was going on. She thought it might have been a soldier looking for runaways, and she was most definitely a runaway.
She turned around and looked up, just as someone ran into her. Samantha fell to the ground with a loud thump, landing on her back. She looked up at who had hit her.

“Sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going” said the strange boy as he held out a hand to help her up.

Samantha looked at him for a moment then took his hand. She stood and rubbed the back of her head. “ouch” she whispered then looked down at the ground. She was always nervous around guys.

“Your hurt!” he said as he grabbed her arm lightly.

Indeed she was, her arm was bleeding. She looked at it and then shrugged her shoulders. “I will be fine”

The boy tilted his head and looked into her eyes. “wow you are tough” he said quietly then pulled out some cloth. “at least let me wrap it up”

Samantha lifted her arm to him. “go ahead” She looked at the ground the whole time.

The boy gently touched her arm and wiped up the blood. Samantha cringed a bit from the stinging sensation that was going through her throbbing arm. The boy wrapped her arm then dropped his hands.

“sorry if I hurt you” he said as he put a hand on the back of his head.

Samantha shook her head and placed her arm by her side. “you didn’t.” She finally looked up at him. “why were you running?”

He shrugged. “to tell you the truth I really am not sure.” he gave a small laugh but saw the serious look she had. “um….well I have been alone for awhile and I was getting really bored so I thought I would go for a run.” he sighed softly. “I guess it is pretty stupid now that I have thought about it.”

Samantha smiled. “its not stupid, I have been alone for awhile too.” She held out her hand. “I am Samantha by the way.”

He shook her hand and smiled. “I am Nate.”

With a heavy sigh Kari stood up, and streched her arms over her head arching her back slightly. She looked around and nodded as she noted the people around her. She looked at the ground where she had slept and kicked her brother's leg gently, yet hard, just enough to wake him up. She picked up her sword and tied it to her back, the string falling across her chest. She blinked and looked at her brother. "MATT IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP I'LL CUT OFF YOUR TOES!"

There was a jolt of awearness when Matt, Kari's brother jumped."You'll what?!?!" He asked in shoke and kicked her leg when she repeated herself just as loud. Her put his sword on his belt and wiped off is pants. they had identical fox ears and tail, both a bright red color. He looked at his sisters messy black curly hair and then ran a hand threw his shaggy black hair. The walked and stoped when they reached a school. "Looks like we're here Kari."

Kari looked at her brother from the corner of her eyes. "Yes it does." She said walked into the school and straight to the frount office.

Alizee cast her gaze from side to side. The rain was washing away the temporary black die in her hair. The color ran down her in ribbons staining her skin and leaving little paths. Normally a vain person this irked her to no end. Tonight however, it was not her most important proirity. Her Private weapons tutor had told her that if she excpected him to recommend her for the fighting school she would have to prove herself to him. Leaving the method up to her was another way of throwing her off. Alizee was training to be a soldier and as such was used to taking orders rather then come up with a plan.

Damn old fraud. She thought grimly as she skirted the outside of the fighters grounds. If I can steal a training sword and get out he has to recommend me because it will prove that I know what I'm doing. She nodded her head to confirm the thought and took to the roof with the acrobatic ease that told of her former dancers training. She crawled along almost painfully slow her hands numb from the cold rain. She growled in her throat an annoyed and pained sound that became a whimper, and for an instant she thought about turning back.

Aliator posted a sample RP in my Pm. It's for his application to be an instructor

Ali : * No more dilly-dalling, The stunt he used at the very beginning had thrown him off and caused a lot of errors within his actions. But now Ali was focused and all of him itching for some havoc, Since Ali had removed two restrictions, he didn't exactly feel the urge to remove on more yet. Even less did he desire to remove them all in case he advanced to the next round, as it would take some time until his energy was back and to much drainage og energy would eventually end in a blackout . Ali knew his limitations. Moving his left arm out, the ground just below began to turn blue and swirl around as it a whirlpool. Small harmless orbs of white light eluminating about up above it before they reached a certain point and simply faded away, Eventually the whirlpool changed it's color from a bright blue to a bright green. The orbs being replaced by large pillars of smoke and smog, in which came up in a large dome like shape as something flew up and into Ali's grasp. Fading away and allowing the light to reflect upon a long blade, "Pestilence".
With the blade drenched in a unique type of "poison" created by the former member Mercina, it was a weapon Ali proffered when he wanted others to suffer intensely. The poison itself attacked the cells in a person or creatures body, moving quickly through and "burning" them away. It spread somewhat quickly and could even rot its way all down to the bone. In short, A single cut on an arm would eventually, if not prevented with the right medicine, Rot way the entire thing.* Of course

Lord Yawgmoth : Yawgmoth saw the sword well and well remembered what he had seen. Though he did not know the details of what the weapon was capable of, he had seen its destructive powers used on other poor creatures before. Something akin to his corrosive orbs he thought. If Ali was going to bring blades to the table then Yawgmoth would oblige. Yawgmoth concentrated and a long shaft of darkness formed itself into his hands. With a mighty surge of power the massive dual bladed axe, the purger, was within his grasp. The Purger contained no magical properties that anyone was aware of. It was however, crafted with perfection from phyrexian alloy making it easily able to crush standard steel and enchanted blades alike. The alloy metal also made it very very heavy and it took someone like Yawgmoth with his massive upper body muscles to control it with grace. It was very likely, that if Yawgmoth connected with it, it would begin to crush Ali before it cut. "Let us dance with death then" Yawgmoth said pulling the axe back in such a manner that it allowed it to cut the wind making the wind resistance almost nothing so it would not slow him down to run with The Purger, and run he did, straight for Ali with a charge, upon range the massive blade came swinging in a shoulder height side swipe from the right.

Ali : *Ali weren't an idiot, naturally he knew his sword would have no chance against Yawgmoths axe if tried to block. It would even be difficult to parry, but that didn't matter. Ali had two ways to survive against The Purger. When Yawg swung his axe, Ali dropped down to one knee and bow his head. Narrowly ducking under the massive blade while using his right free hand to thrust himself to the left with such a force he slid across the ground. Moving the right hand onto the sword in the process and releasing it with his left. Sending a diagonal slash up towards Yawg wielding arm just as he stood up again, Using the momentum of Yawg slash to his advantage as he now couldn't block it with his left arm and the weight of the axe, no matter how strong the wielder, it would take abit time to swing it back again.*

Lord Yawgmoth : Yawgmoth let the axe miss but tilted his wrist in such a manner that the axe slammed into the ground letting the weight pull him Yawgmoth continued to apply pressure on the pole arm of the axe with his hands and jumped a little with his feet which, now that it was buried into the ground, meant that something had to give. Either Yawgmoth or the axe, in this case Yawgmoth allowed himself to give letting the forces apply, with nowhere to go it was Yawgmoth would have to move instead of the axe itself, which carried him up and over Ali's slash landing him on the opposite side of axe. Yawgmoth knew every weakness there was to using axes, they were bulky, heavy, hard to maneuver but when they hit they did far more damage than any bladed weapon known to man. Yawgmoth, now comfortable resting out of reach of Ali pulled free the blade which had so easily dug itself into the earth. This time he would wait for Ali to follow up on his assault, Swords had the obvious maneuvering advantage over axes meaning another attack like that from Yawgmoth would surely result in failure as Ali would now know of the only way Yawgmoth would be able to avoid it due to the purger's weight.

Ali : * After the swing upwards Ali had spun around and gotten himself into position about the same time as Yawg had pulled the axe blade out from the ground, holding "Pestilence" up in front of his face. The sharp edge facing Yawg. A though struck quickly through his head, regardless of victory or defeat Ali would engage in sword combat with Seisuke. Just to see who were better, the samurai or the multi-talented gunslinger. Yawg stood still, meaning he was awaiting an attack from Ali. Just perfect. While crouching down abit and moving "Pestilence" down to his right side, his left hand moved behind his back and remained there. A click sound breaching through the silence between the two of them before his left hand came back out, holding onto a gun several inches longer then his usual one. It was more or less a over dimensioned revolver with a six round clip attached in the middle, mainly created recently to take care of large "obstacles". Just like Yawg for instance. Pulling the trigger twice, two large explosive shells flung themselves at high velocity. One aiming dead straight at Yawg chest while the other went towards the floor before him, regardless if the first one connected the impacts would generate such a smokescreen that visibility would be very limited. Something Ali would use to his advantage as he would charge straight through it, counting the amount of steps needed before he would slash with his blade. Preferably at Yawg left side.*

Lord Yawgmoth : Yawgmoth tilted his head at the sight of the gun. Guns were useless. But he was not going to make that egotistical mistake against Aliator, no sir. Ali knew Yawgmoth thought guns were useless against him. Perhaps Ali had thought of a way to make them useful...but how...A distraction! The idea hit Yawgmoth as Ali pulled the trigger. That was the only logical conclusion Yawgmoth could come to. Why else pull the trigger against someone who would the bullets would bounce from and leave a slight reddening of the skin? Pestilence was sure to do the major damage, the bullets were nothing but scapegoats to allow Pestilence to do just that. Smart move and it would have almost worked if Yawgmoth had not thought just a few steps ahead in time. This was going to be very risky but Yawgmoth's dark energy started to disappear and he rose the axe over his head and began to swing downward, at a certain point he vanished. The trick Ali was most interested in about Yawgmoth he had either forgotten about or wasn't counting on it. The planeshifting matrix. It took Yawgmoth's own energy to pump it up to full for the discharge so this would leave him weaker, but shifting in mid-swing meant when he reappeared he would be finished the swing. And where did he reappear, why directly behind Ali of course. Sure that was the predictable spot for him to pick but also the most effective given the situation. The axe's weight and Yawgmoth's strength would cause the downfall to be hideously fast, Ali would have to turn around or sprout arms from his back to stop it in time. Yawgmoth, however, could feel his stamina drain away as he swung. If this missed, it was going to be well for him.

Ali : *Ali's cape responded instantly, flying up and curling itself around the axe just below the blade, slowing it down long enough for Critter to join in and send it's six tentacles up and doing just the same. Since two of the tentacles were able to lower Ali down from areas despite the massive weight of several tons, six along with a cape that lived it's own life wouldn't have much problems holding the axe in its place. The cape Ali wore was something he took great pride in, it lived because of him and changed it's shape into whatever he desired. In short it was a symbiote who somehow had grown a liking to it's host, just like Critter. Responding quickly, Ali swung around and trusted "Pestilence" into the gap between Yawg right arm and neck, twisting the blade and holding it iches away from where most humanoids had one of many main arteries.* Forfeit, I'm not one for killing friends.

So here's a fight that I did with a Mod friend of mine in the guild Red Dragon Syndicate.

I probably don't need to do this but just to stick with the policy of following instructions I'll post a sample...

His mind whirled as quickly as the world turned about him in his sickening fall from the sky. This Attack, this Deceitful destruction was nothing more than an example in the cruelty of his lordships power. With a sickening and wet crack his body struck the solid, polished floors of the citadel chamber. As he rose to his feet he refocused and gazed towards the balcony from whence he was thrown and grimaced at the blackened husk that remained there. Seconds before he had been enjoying his morning coffee and now he barely stands with broken bones, cuts and singes. This assassination attempt would not be the last and Doran knew his home was no more, this was the end of the peace and the inevitable beating of the war drums would soon begin.

*japanese announcer voice* Sample RP!!!

Arashi sat, eyes shut, in deep meditation. He concentrated and cleared his mind of everything as he ventured to make himself stronger. He knew that the Silvermoon school was the best place for him, full of instructors who would help him develop ever aspect of his fighting ability, and other students to train alongside. He exhaled sharply and opened his eyes; he was finished with meditation for the day. Arashi stood up and looked all around him, getting a feeling that he hadn't felt before. He was home now...

Reizo wandered the country side in search of a dojo so that he could hone his fighting skills. He was suddenly ambushed by a group of road side bandits. The lead bandit came at Reizo with every intention of killing him.
Eh? That all you got?
Reizo dropped to one hand and kicked the bandit in the chin knocking him up in the air a good 6ft. The enraged the other 5 bandits as they all came toward Reizo at the same time.
This isn't going to end well
Reizo begins to spin around while doing a hand stand. He picks up speed and force knocking all the assailants out effortlessly. Seeing that there were no more opponents Reizo got up and plugged in his mp3 player as he walked off listening to "Second to None"
You can check on the rep, yep second to none!

*reaches for his dark star, unlatching his off his back with a flick of his undex finger as it loops around the metal curves, in a fell swoop he bends down, winds the star up into a spin and launches it at his opponent angled upwards at a 30 degree angle, aiming to lop the opponent's head off. The second the dark star is on it's route to his opponent, he slides off into a small fire-puff and a tiny trail of smoke as he attempts to get around behind his opponent. During the high-speed movement he unsheathes his katana. He stops to the left of his opponent, 2 feet and lunges his katana to the gut of his opponent. His eyes whiter than the sun is hot as his hair begins to flicker in the wind in anticipation of the strike. Orange waves surge from my scalp up my hair and into the wind.*
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*My hand erupts in flame and chars my pasty white skin. And though my skin turns black I feel no pain from the intense heat. Using the inflamed hand I grab my scarf, loosening it and throwing it into the wind. Now you can see that my face is also charred. Beady white eyes stare at you from beneath the protector that I slip off as well and toss to the ground with a clank.* Now it's time to make the kitchen. * white teeth beam from beneath the blackened smile, the only real tell-tale way to know that my grin is mischievous. Flames shoot across my entire body, blackening it. However you can barely make out the charred flesh from the flames burning bright across my body, the heat reaching up for 212 degrees farenheit, the temperature at which water begins to boil. I unleash an ultra fast lunge directly at my opponent, leaving a body-sized wave of embers and smoke trailing after me. I c**k my hand back while it balls into a fist and use my other arm as a shield as I leap forward. Before I arrive at my opponent I flicker away and appear behind him, unleashing my punch aimed for his lower spine. *

Mason held the lifeless man by the back of his shirt collar then tossed him into the corner with the other failed competitors. Her emerald eyes stared at the men completely disgusted. At one time, this place has posed a challenge to her, but now no one here could land a hit on her.

She looked at her pale fist covered in blood then wiped it on a rag sitting on the bar before walking outside into the raining street. The girl with short black hair stared emotionless at the black sky. Everyone was in this place was useless. No one presented any type of challenge. At one time the heat battle provided her a type of unbridle ecstasy, but now it was just a disappointment.

“You b***h,” someone yelled as Mason felt a cold steel barrel against her back through her fishnet shirt. She rolled her eyes as yet another disappointment reared its head.

Quickly, Mason ducked and landed on her knees as she reached up with both hands. Her left hand firmly grabbed his wrist while the right hand held on to his elbow. With a quick push up his elbow snapped out of place while cracked his wrist by twisting it a hard left. He yelled in agony as his bones shattered within and the gun dropped from his hand. Annoyed, she moved her left hand higher and gripped hard on his forearm as she flipped him from behind her. The man landed on the wet cement, and Mason straddled his neck as she clutched him by the hair. She began to repeatedly slam his head into the sidewalk. After a few minutes, she noticed the amount of blood flowing from the mess that was once his head.

“Still nothing,” she growled as she slid from him around his neck and dusked herself out. Mason walked off, leaving unsatisfied.

Thank you for making me, feel like I am guilty...

Here's my sample. I don't know if I'm really any good but I do my best.
Enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The forest was dark, the clouds in the sky obscuring the full moon from shining it's beautiful rays down between the trees. Nite made her way along the path at a steady rate, listening closely to the sounds of the night all around her. She listened for any signs of a change in the atmosphere of the forest, or any clues to an ambush lying in wait. As she walked, she let her mind search the surrounding area looking for a safe place to rest before dawn hit. She could sense the animals around her, as well as the nearby waterfall set into the hillside. Closing her eyes, she knelt down and placed her hand on top of the soil feeling it to determine the layout of the cave system behind the waterfall. After a few moments, she stands back up and sighs releasing the tension from her body. Nite closes her eyes and brings the image of fog into her mind holding it there steady as she feels her body begin to fall away, taking on the form of the fog. Once she is completely changed she flows across the ground over the natural pool and right through the space between the waterfall and the rock wall to reach the area behind it. Finding herself in a tunnel much too small for even an animal she slowly slips into it and follows it until it opens up into a huge cavern. Sensing the area quickly to check for danger, she lets the image slide from her mind recalling her own body as she changes back again. Taking a look around the huge cavern, Nite takes stock of what it offers. To her left and right is a wide area of earth, the soil deep and rich with nutrients. Directly in front of her lay another natural pool, this one steaming as it is heated from underneath the earth as it passes through the many caverns and tunnels. Behind her and on the left side of the wall is a space that is marked with the language of her people. Nite walks over and takes a closer inspection of this message, and finds that this was once a safe haven for one of the warriors she grew up around named Gregory. Knowing that Gregory had used this very place gave her a deeper feeling of safety and peace as she made her way to the middle of the earthy area where she sat down. 'I need to let Mikhail and Raven know I have arrived safe. Otherwise they will worry unnecessarily,' she thought to herself. Looking in her mind she found the common path all carpathians used to communicate, then the private one she had with Raven. 'Raven, this is Nite. I have made my way safely and am using an old haven of Gregorys'. Will you let Mikhail know?' sighing, she waited patiently for the reply when she heard laughter in her mind which could only be from Raven. 'Of course I will Nite, but you should learn not to let your annoyance show through when you say his name. He may be over bearing but he is still your uncle.' Gritting her teeth, Nite mumbled words aloud she didn't wish her aunt to hear her say before answering again. 'Yes I know Raven, now let me get some sleep. I will talk with you on the morrow.' Cutting the path of communication so that it was clear she meant business, Nite continued on with her preparations for the night.
Erik leaned against an unmarked tombstone. A large moon hovered in the sky, illuminating the valley. It was littered with unmarked tombstone and a dense fog covered the ground a good 9 inches. It was like home. Since being banished, its been rare joy to be in such a comfortable setting.
As of late he’s slowly regained his abilities. His weapons and summonings have come back and like a babe in his crib, he was at ease. Thunder crashed in the background and he walked into a small clearing, leaving his scythe, katana and sledgehammer alone. He bit his thumb and pressed into his other hand palm. With a mutter of a chant he threw it to the ground, summoning a stone angel from the blood stained field. The angel was covered in only a loincloth with a dull sword in his hand. He charged it and threw powerful punch after powerful punch at it, as well with a flurry of kicks, and stood back, not breaking a sweat and barely breathing hard he smirked and walked over to the tombstone.
The sledgehammer was his only weapon made in this world. While not swift like his other weapons it was powerful. It was the only weapon capable of brining to ‘life’ this stone angel. Cast into the hammer was a life stone and drawn on either side was a powerful unsealing emblem. He took the hammer in his hand, also the only weapon not linked to his body energy, thus unable to call it to his hand, and walked back to the statue and struck it.
With an earthly shudder small pieces of stone flew from it and the angel stepped down from its platform and walked toward me. Normally it would go for any other entity, ignoring me, and attacking that other entity. But it had only me, and I needed a good spar. I charged it calling my scythe to my hand in mid stride.
The scythe, given to me as a memento from my village, the only true symbol of Death, and my clans only symbol. It had an array of tricks to it, but its real purpose was the tip of the blade, giving a huge amount of ‘Dark Mass’ if hit right. It could cause huge damage to anything and anyone, if hit right with the tip. It could change the outcome of any battle. But it was also an extension of my hand.
The scythe elevated and started to spin like a buzz saw and came straight at me. If anyone else were to grab it, even being able to tell its spin or even slow it down, the blade would still impale them. It came at me and I caught it as always, just right. I landed near the foot of the statue and ready to strike the stone in the stomach with the tip of the blade, but it raised its foot and stomped on the ground, causing the same earth shaking and thus causing me to uncontrollably stop dead and giving it the moment to swing its dull sword like club at me. I looked in shock as it contacted with my stomach, sending me flying and hitting my back against another gravestone. I shoke my head, forgetting the pain and charged again. But this time I jumped clean over it as it stomped on the ground again and landed behind it as the seismic wave was behind me. I swung back my scythe and thrashed it against the stone angel, missing the tip of the blade but clearly digging the top edge of the blade into its back. Its wings, which were raised in the air, quickly lowered like a claw but I dodged back. The angel was surrounded by more small stone bits and it paused and turned to glare at me. I had ‘pissed it off’ but I only smiled. With another charge I ran at it and again it raised its stone cracked foot and I again jumped but only a little and spun the like scythe did a moment ago and landed beside its leg, clearly missing the same seismic blast. But the angel was slow to maneuver in this close combat so quick. I swung my scythe back but rotated a piece of it, causing spikes to spring from the bottom of the staff and with another switch on the scythe it began rotating back and forth as I impaled it on the stone side. It dropped to one knee and to its hand, the stone sword laid to the side I looked over to the remaining weapon.
The katana was a weapon of my birth. Carved my by father, a former leader of the clan, it was made from a mixture of lighting stones and my blood. If any energy connected with it, the format of its design would be altered to fit my will and mind. No longer normal lighting it was my energy, unfazed by those who could manipulate lighting or earthly energy it would ignore the command of others and strike the with fury and intensity. And like my scythe it would come when I called.
I called the katana with my eyes and it came at me blade down. I grasped the blade and with a unique swipe of the blade a small knife blade struck out of the base of the leather grip. I walked to the front of the angel, it still on all three and impaled the stone neck. It regained its fury and leapt up swinging its arms around and its wings like large stone back arms swung as well but it was too late. The small blade protruding from the base of the grip, it called the lighting that struck overhead and two lightening bolts hit it and traversed the blade to the neck and split in half. The head flew off and landed at my feet, the red ‘living’ eyes turned stone cold and the headless body, to dust.
I grabbed the katana and sheathed it on my lower back and held the scythe in one hand and held the base of the hammer, resting hammer itself in my shoulder.
For the first time I spoke
“Well that was the first level of my two level angels and I also have that other creature summoning, guess I’m still not as strong here as I was at home”
I turned to walk away. Behind me the giant full moon dispersed like white powered, reveling a bright sun. The ground, the grave stones faded and the dense fog dispersed as well, all that remained of my being there was the stone head.
