This is the story of the Midgar resistance before Cloud's story. The resistance decides to take down the Shinra corporation after they find out that their mako reactors are killing the planet.

The resistance had been battling Shinra co. for months now. Things were getting tough. They were posted as wanted criminals. They had to hide out. Shinj kept a lookout in front of the hideout. He couldn't rest. He didn't know when Shinra's troopers would arrive. He kept his pistol close.

Well my newest assignment from my superiors sneak into the midgar restsance and pretty much destory them from the inside out. Sounds easy enough. Kill the leader pin the plan make some lies then send in some troops easy easy job. So I took off my uniform changed into my more poor clothes. Yuck....ah how do they survive looking like this? well I darted out of the faculity I covered my face. I hitched a few rides to where we where lead to believe was the hideout. When i got there I saw a gaurd. "Hey you!." and he ran towards me.

Shinji noticed movement in the area. He noticed a girl. Her clothes were tattered. (Must have come from sector seven) he thought. "Hey you!" Shinji said, and he began to run over towards the girl. "What are you doing out here? It's not safe."

"i'm really lost and hungry is there anywhere I can go?" I said in my most cutesy inocent voice. Please work or atleast not let him see so I don't like die right here. The gun wasn't much reassuance.

Shinji didn't feel he had any reason to doubt this girl, so he figured it couldn't hurt to bring her in to the hideout. He brought her to the door. "Come in and be quiet."

Shinji left the room. He walked into the meeting room. There was a mission plan being discussed. Rather than bother the commander, he tapped the shoulder of one of the veterans. "There was this girl outside asking for food. I brought her in. Should I keep a watch on her?" The veteran had a dissapointed look on his face. He whispered back "You'd better watch her like a hawk. Anything happens, and it's your hide." Heeding these words, Shinji grabbed a sandwich and headed back to the room.

He walked back in with a sandwhich.
"i'm going to have to ask you questions."
"Ok..." I made my voice small and quiet.
"Name?"
"Deneria"
"Previous home?"
"Sector seven."
"Reason for leaving."
"Shinra tried to kill me......" His eyes bugged out.
"what why?"
"Jenova test subject and I knew a bit to much." He looked towards my chest.
"Yes i have the stigma."

Shinji had no idea what to say about it. The only thing that came to mind was to hand Deneria the sandwich. He did so, and then he sat down. "Sorry, but I'm gonna have to keep watch on you. Orders from my superiors."

Shinji sat in silence. He kept thinking about what she said. (To think that Shinra would stoop as low as to expiriment on humans!) His mind was so focused on his thoughts that he really didn't hear anything.

I wanted to talk to him but i can't get even the tiny bit close to anyone here or I'll blow the entire mission! Then Shinra will really try to come and kill me. So I just sat there in silence after eating the sandwhich. Then i felt soemthing in my pocket. OMG i left my stinking key card in there! i'm such a dunce! I can probably dispose of it later. For now just shut up.

Shinji's pondering was broken by a rustling sound. He looked up at Deneria. He must have startled her, because she pulled her hand out of her pocket pretty fast. Something fell to the floor when she did. Shinji got up and picked it up. "A cardkey?" He looked at the photo and then looked at the girl. They didn't look exactly alike. (Maybe she took it when she escaped from Shinra?)

(you dumbass *repeat five times* OMG this is where they shoot you. Maybe you can come up with a story) Shinji examined the card.
"This key card it's signed by Shinra....did they give this to you when you were being tested with the jenova?" (he gave the excuse)
"Yes it's how they kept everyone grouped together for testing." i thought "It's a bad memory but i keep it around as a reminder of where I've come from and where i never want to go." Not exactly all a lie see most of everything I say is half a lie half of the truth so it's just which parts are improtant.
