...I honestly had a hunch about that a while ago....but didn't see any reason to think about it since it didn't have much impact to the storylines.....well....aside his relations with harry....

Aubrey of the sliver line Yeah I think Rowling said that just to sell more books... To sell more books? That's unnecessary and almost impossible. She said it because she was bored. I mean, she finished the series... what's she doing now?

Here's someone who doesn't know what the word "friend" means... Rowling: WTF? No, he's pretty obviously asexual. ._.;

I mean, she finished the series... what's she doing now? Writing a really really last book for charity, it seems. And possibly working on something that's not Harry Potter. I find the entire "Dumbledore is gay!" thing overrated. Makes me wonder what would happen if she actually declared Remus Lupin bisexual- I swear the fandom would explode.

Halo Hedgey OverlordMMM ...I honestly had a hunch about that a while ago....but didn't see any reason to think about it since it didn't have much impact to the storylines.....well....aside his relations with harry.... Here's someone who doesn't know what the word "friend" means... Rowling: WTF? No, he's pretty obviously asexual. ._.; I meant the impact of the friendship and how it affected Harry.......To Harry, Dumbledore was a bit of a father figure, but also something else Harry couldn't put his finger on.....Dumbledore showed his affections of Harry in various (nonsexual) ways that didn't usually coincide with his other tendencies when with any other characters (well as far as is seen within the books)......In other words, he acted a bit different when around him.....for one thing, he openly showed his faults to Harry.....especially when it came to the Hollows, something that is never seen in his character before when he is with another character......despite that he shows his faults to Harry, he never delves into them, showing that he has much regret, and that he didn't want Harry to be ashamed of what he did........ Despite the fact he hid these regrets from nearly everyone, he never openly showed his weaknesses to anyone.....and if he did, it was a rarity....

I thought Dumbledore showed his faults to Harry so that Harry could realize that not everyone was perfect. Even the person you look up to most has some faults. I thought Dumbledore was open with Harry so Harry would learn to be brave and overcome, but also to accept that mistakes can happen and that you can move on with life and your "mission". NOT that Harry gave him the hots. Also, Rowling didn't say he was a pedihile, I'd like to mention right up front.
