At my Yoshiki guild, someone posted that they might(or will?) be playing at hide's anniversary next May, in California. Does anyone have any info about this?

Aww I think I'm gonna cry. I live all the way on the other side of the country crying crying I hope Diru gets to play. Kaoru was partly influenced by hide right?

toricmpbll Treacle_Faerie Aww I think I'm gonna cry. I live all the way on the other side of the country crying crying I hope Diru gets to play. Kaoru was partly influenced by hide right? yep he had a plushie that he took up on stage with him every concert but i don't know if he does now It's tied to his mic in Osakajo Hall 3nodding He just keeps it in his pocket nowadays. Because little pink-haired plushies are totally not z0omghardxcore enough for a manly rock star such as himself to be seen with. I have a friend that supposedly met hide... although that's open to speculation. My sister says she didn't talk for like a month after he died, though eek They'll have to fly over if it's held in California... Although I can't see Yoshiki holding hide's 10-year anniversary in a country he barely knew... with a bunch of fans that didn't know who he was when he died... and were probably 4-10 years old when he died... and think his only claim to greatness is 'Pink Spider,' etc.

O_O Holy s**t, Yoshiki, take a break!
I swear, if that man takes up any more projects he's going to work himself to death. I'm surprised he even has time to sleep.

It sounds a teensy bit far-fetched. But then again, many recent events in the world of Jrock seemed far-fetched before they happened...eg Dir en grey coming to (and winning awards in) the US, Miyavi, Yoshiki, Gackt AND Sugizo forming a band, Toshiya getting braces...........................

It's not really far-fetched, because Yoshiki did say something about having a hide anniversary concert in LA, but it's not official yet.

Like VioletUK. .......so why are we talking about Yoshiki again?

The last time I heard about the reunion was Yoshiki saying he had to talk to Toshi...which causes anxiety on its own. The idea of Dir en grey playing is pretty strong. They're all big X fans (Kyo took up guitar because of hide and he's an inspiration of Kaoru's) and obvious friends of Yoshiki's so... Yoshiki is the king of delays though, so I don't think anybody should count on much until he openly speaks about it himself.

XD He just takes up too many projects at once without considering the fact that he only has a 24 hour clock to work with.

Pirate Shinju Well... I'm sure he doesn't MEAN to delay everything. XD He just takes up too many projects at once without considering the fact that he only has a 24 hour clock to work with. Oh no, I don't think he does it on purpose. I agree with what you've said here though, as well.
