My hair was cut in half so I'm questing to do such. =D
Any other good suggestions of things to do with short-ness? I need to invest in some gel ...

It's real chopped in the back. I can't make a ponytail.

Get some glue, Put some water in it to lather it up. Have a hair comb on hand and a Hairdyer. Then lots of patience and practice. That's what I did with my moehawk, The back is harder since you can't see it but it gets easier over time.
Comb the hair up, hold it straight with one hand, then insert glue substances with the other. Blow dry and repeat through out the hair. Multiple layers may but required.

You see, I have really thick hair, and tried to spike my mohawk (I have an over-grown one now) & nothing ever worked for me.
Wood Glue, egg whites, all different types of hair gel/putty/glue/spray. Nothing.
It just never worked for me.

Me and my friend simply just use extra hold hairspray and a hair dryer...It works perfectly for the both of us.

I've mohawked my hair a few times. All I used was Tres emme extra hold hair spray and a hair dryer. Thats what I've found to be the best and easiest way to do it.

Rave maximum hairspray in the aerosol can, redkin paste, or bedhead dread wax + hairspray.

They make wax for hair to hold it up. I don't remember what it's called.
