Here's some tips for ya beginners.

1. Don't care how your car looks in the beginning. Performance is where you need to spend your cash.

2. If you're going to start with any of the newer games, start with Carbon. It's the easiest of the four, but you'll be a bit lost in the story. Underground is the story starter.

3. If you plan on getting the games and you have none, try to the the Collectors Series. It has the first three of the current games. Unerground, Underground 2, and Most Wanted(there is a Most Wanted Black Edition, but it's not with the set.)

4. Don't try to get in a chase with the cops too early in Most Wanted. They're smarter than the average 5-0. coughcoughd***superchargedsuvcoughcough.

5. Don't cheat your way to the top. It's dishonorable and most will dislike you for it. Few won't care, but some will hate you for it.

6. LISTEN TO THE IN-GAME TUTORIALS! They're your best friend if you're a beginner.

Ditto. Most Wanted was made for cops.

That's weird. I had more trouble with the cops in Carbon than in Most Wanted...then again I knew the city well. Guess I'll switch that up then.

another tip for beginners: if you're having a competition like let's say a FC3S Rx-7 canyon sprint challenge. play the course and keep playing it until you found the right settings for the car and the perfect line (this goes for every course). Drive Clean and smooth, don't hit stuff and always practice practice practice!

Edit: also you might wanna play around with your car settings although they may not be important to some people, keep playing around with it. It's guaranteed to help biggrin

Edit 2: playing around with your car setting also help determines your time on the track wink

tip for carbon.

Pick the faster car at the begining so you don't need to work up on it later.

I had a easy time in most wanted and was rarly ever chased in carbon. if I was I would go all demo on there cars.

tip for the horrible game that is carbon:

finish the challenge for the 240sx in the challenge series, it's actually a tier 2 car not 1 giving you a big advantage in the beginning

IF you've ever played forza you'll want to drive like that with your exotics.
Don't try and power slide through the turns. Smoothly let off gas and brake and when you hit the turns apex smoothly is the key gas out and you'll leave the compitition in the dust. This goes for most wanted and carbon.

Tip for Most Wanted

On the final part of the career mode, try to hit as many pursuit breakers as you can when you're trying to escape the city. The BMW doesn't have very many upgrades, only nitrous and a few low level stuff, so try not to out run them, instead, try to trick them.

At the beginning of NFS:MW, get the Cobalt SS, it costs 26,000 and has a high top speed for a beginner car.

If you do get the Cobalt, focus on getting acceleration enhancing parts.

Do NOT get the Dodge Viper or the Ford GT, instead, get the Corvette C6. It costs a lot less, and for the same money that you pay for the Viper, or better yet, the GT, you can make it a lot faster.

When you face the guy with the Aston Martin, try to get it, it is a great police killer. I got, two times, over 1,000,000 bounty using that car.

And, like they said before, purchase the performance upgrades first, then go after the visuals.

Actually, the 240SX is a tier 1 car. Trust me; I've finished the story mode and the challenge series... twice.

Maybe you're mentioning the Jaguar XK, I tried the car in the start of the game and trashed the opposition without any upgrades, even nitrous...

no the 240SX is a tier 2, the 240SX is handles and faster than any tier one car. plus the 240SX is able to keep up with the bosses in the canyon(except for darius of course)

Tips for Pro Street-

1.First Challenge-Here is a tip for those who can't finish the first **CHALLENGE** race day. I understand there are many who cannot pass this event.
(Battle Machine-Nevada Highway)If you cannot pass the race day where the
pre-tuned drag Cobalt and Civic are on the line. Then here are quick and effective pointers. For those who are new to pro street or any one who hasn't any experience on any nfs title, then heres how to pass it. It will be very easy to beat the grip races, but for drag, you will need to learn the car won't launch itself when theres the green light. So remember to shift from neutral to 1st gear. Or else you won't pass.

2.Cars for each mode- Here are cars I recommend for the 4 modes in Pro Street.
GRIP>Your start-up 240SX
Golf GTI
Lancer EVO IX (Will Overtake all in cornering)
Lancer EVO X (Will accelerate at an astonishing rate)
M3
Cupra(Hard to believe but will ,literally, rip through all turns.**YOU
CAN BEAT RYO WITH THIS CAR!**
M3 E92
**IF AVAILABLE**Mostly all supercars
DRAG>240SX
GT500
Mustang Gt
Zonda
Supra (Great for wheelies)
M3 E92 (Great for wheelies)
Camaro SS (Great for incredible acceleration)
DRIFT>RX7
Corolla GT-S
240SX
Mustang GT
Sylvia S15
HEMI 'cuda
(4 out of 5 are Falken Team Drift Cars, huh?)
Speed>R35
R34
Mazdaspeed3
RS4
911 GT2
911 GT3/GT3 RS
EVO X
EVO IX
GTO
CORVETTE **ANY INCLUDING STINGRAY**
RX7
AOSC.....(all other super cars)

thank you for reading.
