Dear Sir/Mam,

is Cain, Son of Adam the first of man, stronger or more wicked then Lucifer?

HA! Cain is a puffball compared to the power of Satan. I don't know what stories you've been listening to, but remember that time before the Earth was created? I seem to remember something about a war... yeah. (Don't take this as the whole truth or anything like that) Cain was probably a little toy soldier compared to Satan who LED the third of the hosts of heaven that were cast out. Plus, who influenced Cain to do what he did? ... Sorry. My spiel is done.

Satan is who influenced Cain to become what he did. Cain follows Satan, and is cursed because of it - as to what power he actually has, it is less than that of Satan, but not what you would call weak. Whatever the case, God is infinitely more powerful than either, or both combined, for that matter.

Okay, the answers have all been a little sarcastic because, yes, it SEEMS obvious that Satan, being the head cheese in Badness would trump Cain. BUT this actually IS a good question, folks.

Perhaps the Pearl of Great Price?

At least at first, YES CAIN WAS MORE POWERFUL THAN SATAN. Because before he chose to FOLLOW Satan's plan he had something Satan could never get... a body. He made at least one good choice... he chose Christ's plan originally.

But them Satan told him to turn against the Lord... and he KNEW what he was doing when he sinned. (Read the PoGP, Like, especially Moses 5). He had basically had all of the temple knowledge, too, when he killed his brother. Which is why he became known as Perdition, along with Lucifer, and hence, you know, the Sons of Perdition and all the BIG sinners.

So, I guess the thing to remember is that Cain, like all of us, had the power, given to us from our loving Heavenly Father to beat Satan. To resist him. WE are more powerful than him.

BUT Satan is DANG powerful, as anyone who has truly felt evil can tell you. But, what allows him to become MORE powerful than you, as Cain did, is to let him. Symbolically, anyway.

Alright, alright. I submit. I was thinking of power that is actually used. The stereotypical view of power. Not the power to resist another power. My mistake. And I'll have to read the part of the Peal of Great Price that talks about that.
