Here you can argue about who is better, Drizzt Do'Urden or Artemis Entreri!

Please keep the arguing respectable and purely debatable. No random name-calling because someone disagrees with you.

both are awesome, but i would have to say that i am an artemis fan more than a drizzt fan. if you read the sellswords series then you know why. He learns all the human qualities that drizzt (yes i know he's a drow) already possess, but he learns them in a new aspect that is totally awesome and hey, who doesn't love jarlaxle? i mean come on, he' s totally awesome! the bracer on his arm, his many extra-dimensional pockets on him, his big hat with a feather in it, and his bald head....plus much more!

When i first learned on entreri i did not like him the least bit, but once i started reading more about him, i learned to like him and then POOF he's awesomely lovable!

Yeah, this started out as An Entreri guild actually...but I needed to change it to Drizzt to appeal to more of the fans^^;

I like both of them more than the other, in different Aspects. Both turned out the way they shouldn't have among their respective race, and they are both beyond typical battle skills.

In some situations I will like Drizzt more, and in others, Entreri. I can't decide which is better, but if I would have to choose one or the other it would have to be Drizzt since the books actually told us how it was he grew up, and why he turned out the way he is. Then again I am only on the 7th book and my opinion will probably change.

For me, I do not have a favorite. I cannot choose between the two, but i will say that i am a fan of both. Like you said, one is better in some aspects than the other and vice versa. The Sellswords series tells about some of Entreri's past and it's so sad....Jarlaxle is great too! and Kimmuriel! Oh my god, I love Kimmuriel to. the psionist.....

I agree...its so hard to choose between the two. I love them both. I'd have to say my fav. is Entreri though. That one book....the one when Entreri went back to ((s**t its been so long since I've read these books...can't remember...o.0)) Anywho I think it was Servant of the Shard, although I could be wrong. I thought it was touching when he left to find he actually had a heart.

I'd have to agree that Entreri is better.

I started out hating Entreri in Streams of Silver, but that was because he was hurting Cattie-Brie, one of my most beloved characters after Drizzt.

After Starless night though, I've come to know a more human side of him as he was finally afraid of something XP (I know I wouldn't have lasted that long in Menzoberranzan >.< "Excuse me sir? Do you know where the surface is? I think I lost my way. And I have to say Drow elves aren't very nice, a lot of them's chased me away with weapons. You're a Drow elf too right? I can't see very well down here, there's no light at all, except that pretty blueish-purple fire you have everywhere, although I do have to ask you why you bother making such pretty fire if it doesn't give off heat. Why are you holding that dagger like that? Why are you stabbing me? That hurts. I think you punctured my lung. Oh shoot, I think I'm dying. No, wait, yeah, I'm dead. Well, do you know where Drizzt is? If he's down here -didn't Baenre catch him or something- can please kindly find him for me? I think he'll be able to bring me back to the surface. Why are you staring at me like that? You look like you just saw a ghost- oh yeah, I'm suppose to be dead, woopsies *drops dead*")

Right now, Drizzt is still higher in my eye solely because if I had a choice of badgering Drizzt or Entreri, I know for sure Drizzt's the one that won't drive a sharp pointy thing through my vital organs and leave me bleeding to death.

But since I'm still on Siege of Darkness, I haven't learned fully of Entreri yet, so I won't make any assumptions yet.

I understand why you say and before i read the sellsword series i was completely thinking the same thing; however, i think that once you read the sellsword series, you'll like Entreri more.

I heard 3nodding

I'm still working on Servant of the Shard. (I'm somewhat disappointed that Drizzt didn't show up in the last book, and it seems this one is about Entreri and Jarlaxle alone) Entreri is ever changing from that one man that seemed invincible and purely a killing machine to becoming more and more human as I read through the books.

He's a very interesting character. As someone who reads books and plays RPGs purely to enjoy character development, and role-playing for the same reason, Entreri's starting to grab my attention more and more. So is Jarlaxle, how different he seems from that drow I knew from the first trilogy!

Yep, but that is why I love Jarlaxle so much! and Zak even though he was in Dark Elf Trilogy.
