Alright, well here's the deal.
I was thinking about starting an educational and mature sex club at school.
Yes, there is a class for it, but they don't go into depth about sex.
What IF you do get and STD? What IF you do happen to get pregnant? What are the things you need to look out for in a relationship? What can you say to your doctor/parent/friend/teacher if you think you have an STD or are pregnant? What exactly is sex? How do I put on a condom?

These are all questions I have thought while in sex ed. class, but are too embarrassed to ask. Most of my friends feel the same way and I don't want me or my friends having sex the wrong way because they are too afraid to ask questions.

But things that would be included in the club would be:
-How to give yourself proper breast/testicle examinations.
-How to tell if you are pregnant. (And if so, what to do and weighing your options about the baby)
-How to tell if you have an STD (And if so, what to look for and how to discuss it with your doctor.
-A support group for students that may already be pregnant.
-How to properly put on a condom.
-How to tell you are ready to be sexually active.
-Teaching students the responsibility of having sex.
-Teaching students about birth control.
-Abstinence.

Those are some ideas i have.
(if you think of any good ideas that may help, PLEASE feel free to share! =])

Of course the club would be mature, and any inappropriate matter will NOT be tolerated. I would also go to the local doctors office and see if I can put up a web page that has FAQs and questions you can personally ask the local doctors. Also, I would try to have someone from Planned Parenthood to come and have a meeting and answer questions.

So what do you think?
Do you think it is a good idea, or a bad.
If you are in High School, would you join a club if you had the chance?
And adults that may already have kids, would you let your kids join a club if it was educational and mature?

PLEASE leave comments and feedback.
THANK YOU

As long as you follow all the school's rules and regulations, I think that'd be a neat idea. 3nodding

Excellent idea, and if it violates the school rules, do it unofficially.

In my most humble opinion, no matter what, if the school requires a list of students participating in a club official, don't bother with the official route, as there is a good chance that many won't come because of the embarassment of being on a list.

It sounds like a very good idea and I think that you should persue it.
