So.... I got an email from "Gaia online". It smells like scam/fake, or at least bizzarre that I'm even getting. It doesn't ask for a password anything, just says that I've tried five times to log in unsuccessfully which is weird too seeing as I have it set to remember so I never have to enter my password. Wait, wait...is someone trying to hack me? xd

Here's the email (and yes, real email not just PM):
Hello "Isabelle"

We have detected multiple failed login attempts have been made on your
account, in a total of 5 times,
therefore your account on Gaia Online has been blocked for 15 minutes.

This is done to ensure maximum security for your account.
You will be able to login again at Sun Sep 30, 2007 1:59 pm .

If you are receiving this e-mail without trying to login at Gaia Online,
you should contact the site administrator at inquiry@gaiaonline.com, and report
this issue.

At Gaia Online, we try our best to protect your account, but the best protection
can only start with a strong password. Please consider the following when
choosing your password:
- Never use a "simple password" like your birthday, your dog's name, etc.
- Use both number and letters in any combination
- The longer the password, the better
- Change your password often
- Avoid using your password at Gaia Online on any other webpage

Well I got all my stuff still...how soon after the email did you know you were hacked? I'm kind of always online, so when that person tried to hack me (and when I got the email) I was already logged in doing my thing.

Did they (whoever they are) actually get access to your account, or did they just manage to get you a mini-lockdown? Either way, fill out the inquiry thing, let the admins/mods know someone's trying to get in your account, and consider changing your password.

Maybe someone with the user name Isabella or Isabelle1 or something like that mispelt and didn't realize their error. I've done stupid s**t like that before. "Why won't you sign in?!?! mad Stupid frickin.... mumble grumble ....oh redface My username isn't Zathora"

THat makes a lot of sense. I would still definitely change my password though, just in case. I used to have mine saved but I was hearing of so many people getting hacked that I just type it in each time now.
