crying ...
I got ADHD pills for my ADD (I know, I was like, "WTF...I have ADD...not ADHD...but whatever..."). This upsets me... I have been tired today...well...it's probably not "tired" but just, less hyper crying ... My randomness is no longer natural and I have to force it...it's sad...
Other s**t to talk about:
Someone was behind me in the cafeteria and he whispered to his friend "Hey, isn't that the gay guy?" The friend said "yeah," and then they pointed and laughed, so then I decided to laugh with them while giving them the finger. It was nice 3nodding
I also have been pulling hair this week >.< It's fun. This guy was being mean to me and I told him to apologise but obviously, he didn't, so I pulled his hair back and he leaned back and winced and I said calmly "This is the last time I will ask you...apologise..."So he did and I let go. I alo do it for manipulation. It's kinda become a game. I grab hair of people who annoy me and I tell them to say, "Brian, you win." and I let go. It's probably derived by the fact that I get NO respect usually, AND I am a nice person, so people take advantage of me, so I changed that. (sorry if I'm pissing letters/puntuation. I'm using my dad's laptop who has a craptastic keyboard stare )

one thing i've read about add/adhd is that it's waaaaay over-diagnosed. duh. but one thing that can often be a culprit that parents/doctors overlook is a sleeping problem, typically lack of sleep.
"not getting enough sleep? but my kid practically bounces around on the walls!! zie can't sit still or pay attention to ANYTHING!!!"
yeah. when the mind is exhausted and is being forced to stay awake, one of the most common tricks it uses to stay awake is to jump around and pay attention to everything all at once. if the mind focuses on any single thing, it gets into a bit of a routine with it which slows the brain... and suddenly you're almost asleep.
personally, i don't believe that pills solve everything. that being said, i currently take paroxetine (generic of paxil, an antidepressant) and trazodone (a very mild tranquilizer) to help me sleep. i'll probably always take the trazodone for sleeping. even as an infant i could never fall asleep on my own. as for the antidep, i'll probably also take that for the rest of my life. i've been in therapy for the last few months and i've learned how to anticipate problems and solve them before they get huge.
i think the same type of treatment is possible with add/adhd. try going to bed earlier. if your body needs ten or eleven hours of sleep a day right now, give your body that rest. so what if you go bed at 8pm? your body will thank you. try speaking with a psychologist who can give you some tools to help you handle the add/adhd so you can learn how to outsmart it. meds combined with behavior modification can be a wonderful thing.
oh, and mista keebler, this isn't necessarily directed at you in particular. it's sort of directed out to the ether and/or whoever is reading. smile

^_^ Thank you VERY much maggie ^_^ I'll get some sleep ^_^
I have had this mellow weirdness...It's weird...I talkall melow and feel mellow, but I say all the weird, goofy things that I normally do.
Anywhoo, the meds I take are Cepherol (ADHD) and Synthriod (Hypo-Thyriod)
I think I'll change this to the "Medz Thread" since dorks usually take meds xp
If this ADHD stuff doesn't work, I'm going in for behavioral, mental, and social testing gonk

darkmagicchik i've got the oppsite of ADD... sleep deprivation and maybe depression, but i'm not telling my parents. my dad is manic dpressive, so is my aunt, and so is ym grandpa...the scary thing is that it is genetic...thankfully none of my relatives have shown any sign of the depression for about a decade

depression and add and all sorts of stuff are genetic. most adults won't admit that they have chemical imbalances. they're quick to shove labels on kids because it's only recently that all of these things have been "discovered" as physiological problems, not just kids being kids (ie, jackasses). but because it's a diagnosed thing, they're also quick to throw the demeaning "mental illness" label on as well.
i'm just sick of american culture being so quick to medicate everything immediately. yes, medication can help a lot, but nothing can get solved until you find the psychological root of the problem, why you let yourself behave in "socially unacceptable" ways.
personally, i also think that there are many major flaws in the american school system that contribute to the "problem" of add/adhd. just for kicks, i'll list them. xd *too many students per classroom *such a desperate need for teachers that people who should NOT be teaching are *ridiculous government standards/standardized tests, only schools that reach a randomly chosen percent passage get money *teachers end up teaching to the test, disregarding the need for students to actually UNDERSTAND material *the idea that school produces mindless little drones for the workforce -- think about it. at school, you spend your time sitting in a desk, needing to go from one place to another, teachers are your direct managers, the vice principal is middle management, the principal is the building manager, head of the school district is the regional manager, etc *schools are being treated as businesses, not places for knowledge and understanding *because teachers are being pushed to teach towards standardized testing, they want their students to be compliant little drones. kids who don't sit down and shut up aren't the compliant little drones, so they "need" to be medicated for add/adhd.
um. yeah. i'm optimistic about the future of this country. xp
oh, and darkmagicchik, there's nothing wrong with suffering from clinical depression. it's not anything that you can really fix by yourself. you don't even necessarily need to start on any meds. just visit your doctor (or get a recommendation from your doctor for someone more experienced with mental illnesses) to talk. if you need any meds, the doctor can start you with a prescription that he thinks will work for you, based on your individual symptoms. trust me, it's much easier to handle yourself and life when you're thinking clearly. the depression is something that can take over YOU if you let it. it's something that quite possibly will be with you for the rest of your life. it's not something that can be cured, but something that you learn to manage, almost like alcoholism or diabetes.
anyways, i'm at work and have actual work to do. smile but if anybody feels the need to ask me any questions, i'll gladly chat via pm or aim or something.

my mum has some hormone imbalence that makes her get angry really easy when she doesn't take her pills(zoloft). she gets really scary b/c she hits the walls and screams and, when i was little, she would throw things.she stopped throwing stuff now tho so its not quite as scary. i think my little sister(whos not even 5 yet) is gonna be like her too b/c she gets mad so easily. you could just say "danni(thats her name), go in your room to play." and she'll have this big bloody fit and start kicking things and stuff. i kinda get like that too, but only when someone really pisses me off, then i'll hit my head against stuff or hit something(like the wall, a pillow, a locker, somethings thats not living). i'm not sure exactly what it is but i guess its genitic or something since it seems we all have it or something like it.
