Trader: You do as the name suggests, you buy and sell and try to protect yourself as best as you can.
Thief: You steal, lie, cheat, or do anything you can to just plain survive this city.

Niki walked around town on an unusually sunny morning, and looked around for some food to steal. He saw a woman, ((which is whoever your character would be BRM.)) and walked over to her stand, picking up a loaf of bread and a bottle of water from it and walking off with the items in his pocket. Hopefully she didn't see him.
