Happy Sukkot, people! May it not rain on your flimsy leaf roof, and may your guests be spared fron the bitter cold, Amen.

My sukka says REI on the side. I'd build a real one if I didn't live in a flood zone.

LordNeuf My sukka says REI on the side. I'd build a real one if I didn't live in a flood zone. Ah That sucks I'm sorry. In my city they are doing like major moving of the flood zones. Like the city council has decided since the Missouri river has shifted that the flood zones from like 50 years ago have moved too. (or something like that) Anyways, maybe you should like check in to see if you truly are in a flood zone. (However you're an adult so I bet you actually know what you're talking about. lol.)

We made our sukka bigger this year. Only problem is, the cats seem to like hanging out in our sukka -.- . I woke up last night to one of their screams, apparently two of them were fighting over who was king of the sukka. Believe me, that is not how you want to wake up... XC.

The sound on the roof is the best noise I've ever heard.

I like rain...until it starts thundering like crazy and I start panicking because for some reason I think that it will break my window....(yeppers, I've got issues sweatdrop ) and until it stops, because it's more humid then normal, and it already is really, really humid here (90 degree weather plus 80 percent humidity is not pleasent)
but, rain is fun, fun!!! 3nodding

I love rain, myself, but I do wish it could wait until after Sukkot. Since a lot of my friends have beds and tables and chairs in their sukkah, and actually LIVE there (I wish I lived in a place with a yard!) during the holiday as Biblically directed, I always worry that they'll be horribly uncomfortable, and that mould will grow in their futon mattresses and chair cushions. sad

Is it not that common for people to live in their sukkahs anymore? Do people just eat meals or what?
