A friend of mine's an artist and a couple years ago he made drawings of me. Yesterday he gave me one of the drawings. I'm lying naked on it with one of his cats beside me and my face looks really thoughtful. I'm very happy that he gave it to me and plan on framing it and hanging it in my bedroom. Now to the questions, to provoke some discussion and activity in the guild:
Do you have any art of yourself?(editted by t0paz) if you want to show it, please don't post it in this thread. there's a place for it.
Would you consider having art of yourself?
Would you (as I did) pose in the flesh, so to speak or would you go for something completely different?

Nah I don't have any artwork or myself. I wouldn't mind getting something done if I could be dressed in maybe a Napoleonic uniform or something regal like that...I couldn't see myself posing nude for a painting. talk2hand

i have a few pieces of art that of myself but nothign like that, although i would love to have a picture of me like that it would be great

The only art of me that I have is what I drew. I could never see myslef posing nude like that unless my husband was the artist.

I have art I did of myself for art class, I don't think I would ever pose nude for a drawing of myself, but I do intend to frame my work.
I might post it when I get it back. (The teacher still has it, I won't get it back until I go back to school.)

Well, personally I don't mind posing in the nude so much anymore. I was very nervous the first time, but we are really good friends and he's quite the admirer of big women, so... 4laugh I also trust him implicitly (one of the few people). I wouldn't even have considered it with any other person, really. Now I wouldn't mind for anyone, actually, but that's because you get used to it.
The funny thing is that his drawings of my body made me look at myself completely different. Somehow I got a more positive image of the way I'm shaped.

The only person I feel comfortable being nude around is my hubby. You couldn't pay me enough to pose nude infront of someone for a lengthy amount of time...I wouldn't feel comfortable with someone analyzing my figure so intensely redface

I found it quite unsettling at first, but after a while you hardly notice. I tend to daydream a lot whenever I pose.

I would love to. My fiance has been practicing his drawing for the first time in forever, and once he feels like it won't be an accidental Picasso, I'm going to pose for him. But ya know.. if he didn't mind, I'd be more than willing to pose for someone else. I think it'd be an interesting and character building experience.

I suck at art, but i love doing photography and I wish I knew someone who was that comfortable with themselves to let me take photos.
But no way in hell would I pose nude for anything, not even my package will compensate for my tummy. gonk
