HI IM new I play e flat alto saxophone and I played saxohpone for about 7 years and jazz band 2 years. And my friend wants what is the best insturment to play.
Please help him.

heheh everyone wil gived a biased answer so i guess mine would be the sax. I guess it depends what you want to do in jazzband and what best suits your skills.

Flute, if you get the chance. If you don't have that opportunity, piano or sax (Though note: Most saxes double as the flutes, not pianists).
Ah, but that trumpet is so much fun... And then, which sax do you want to be? Ah, so many awesome instruments, so hard to decide... ^_^

TRUMPET!!!!!!!
its shiny... blaugh
I love the trumpet, love the sound, the tricks you can do with it - fall offs, half valve and so on.
Go for whatever though. Just as long as you play, i couldn't give a rats a** if you play the triangle. just get out there and enjoy the music
