I've been doing some thinking.

Things aren't easy here. I don't have as much free time as I did back home.
(You may look at the amount of time I've been online, and find that deceptive. However, that hasn't been free time so much as me procrastinating, for the most part. >.<) And in the free time I do have, there are so many things I need to do. Explore the area. Meet new people. Make some FRIENDS.

Additionally, I've found that I've been shirking my duties as guild leader lately. If an issue comes up, I tend to want to pass it on to Vince or a crew member. I don't have an excuse for it, and it's no way for a guild leader to behave.

Add that to the fact that I'm on the other side of the world from most of you. If an issue comes up, and it needs my attention, chances are it won't get it for at least 12 hours.

With all these factors in mind, I think the time has come to announce my temporary resignation from the post of Guild Leader.

The mantle will pass on to Vincente, should he choose to accept it. At that point, he will become guild captain, and I shall remain on-staff as Vice-captain. Goodness knows, I've shunted enough responsibility his way already, he might as well have the title that goes with it.

In other words, I'm not leaving. I'll still be here, I'm just demoting myself a rank for the time being. Chances are, when I return home, I'll have the time and energy once more to deal with the responsibility of Captainhood. And unless Vince gets drunk with power, or there's a large-scale revolt, hopefully there won't be any problems with that. wink

So that's it, Agents. I had a good run. You guys are the first guild I've ever run, the only guild I've been active in for any extended period of time, and you've been good agents and great friends to me. I'm honored to have been your leader.

While it is neccesary, the position that you currently have as Guild Leader, Commander and Cheif, Boss, etc, should not be comprimised.

There is nothing that Vincent cannot do now that would require him a promotion, besides disbanding the group entirely.

My humble opinion would to be let Vince continue his position as Vice Captain, and refer to you for the final opinion, this should only be for the rarest of cases though, cases that will affect the guild drastically.

This is quite sad... it seems like a trend recently of leaders having to step down or have to deal with real-life matters.

I have to agree. You are "Boss Man" and as much as Vincente is awesome and can obviously handle the job, I don't think you should hand up your position.

Vince is the best crew to handle the current leadership position, but then, leadership in the GiB has always been more about initiative and less about fancy shmancy titles. Unless there are secret powers guild leaders have that Vice Captains don't, then I don't really see a reason for you to step down.

On the other hand, Don't feel like you need to shirk your time in Japan to be with us, Its a once in a lifetime opportunity. Most of us are big boys and girls and can work on potty training those of us who arn't xd
