For all of you who think the MP3 and Video acessibility is the only reason to buy the PSP, your not guna have to waist 200 bucks for the stupid thing. Do you feal even more left behind that you still only have the old GBA or SP? Now you will be able to play MP3's and Videos on your GBA and DS with the Nintendo Play-Yan! And dont feal even more left out that the SP dosent have a head phone jack because the Play-Yan has one built in.
The Nintendo Play-Yan takes SD memory cards so you can load songs and videos from your computer. A 512MB SD will hold up to 2 and 1/2 hours of video with still a CD's worth or MP3s. While playing your favorite songs you can play mini games along side. They may not be the best games but it's still a good feature.
To me it sounds better than my MP3 player, because of the good quality videos, and nice selection screen, and its easy to just put a few CDs and tv shows on your SD and go. I dont know what Nintendo was thinking but this was released Feb. 2005 and is still being waited on in the USA... domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun

I would like it, but I would only be getting it for movies, and even then it would be low quality.

I want to get the Play-Yan if it comes out here in some form; something like GBMedia. That would be cool.

[ Nter ] EC_Maya I would like it, but I would only be getting it for movies, and even then it would be low quality. How? The DS's graphical capabilities are not even close to that of movie quality. Real life movies would look very choppy and pixely. I'd steal borrow my moms portable DVD player. I would'nt actually steal it. xP

But punkrock's link has video of the Play-Yan on the DS, and it was showing 3D console games on the DS just perfect.
I didn't see any music videos or movies though. ninja

the amount of stuff you can fit on the SD's also depends on the quality, I've been able to get 70 songs on a 128 card without noticeing a dip in how they sound. plus ive seen 1 & 2 Gb cards. You could probably fit movies on those...

I can't wait for this thing to come out, and I won't even have to buy a craptacular PSP.
Not like I was going to anyway. rofl
