Okay, I'm a right-handed hard rock/metal bassist.
And I have a tendency to get these cramps in my left hand. It doesn't happen straight away (takes a few song) but it happens.
I don't get cramps in my right hand (the one I'm doing all the string-plucking with, and given my style of playing, it's this hand that does most of the work), only in my left.
Any idea on how to stop it? I see it being a real problem at gigs etc.

It's because you are holding the fingers down to play. I get cramps in my left hand all the time. but that's cause I broke my pinkie too. Just shake it off. I know when i'm playing like two hours at a time it happens.
