so, for the record I'm a non-smoker.
Anyway, a peculiar subject popped into my mind today...
some people I know of are allowed by their parent(s) to smoke and some even smoke with their parent(s)! eek
Don't you think that would be somewhat awkward? like for example, talking about your sex life with your parents, etc.
And on another note, lucky kids- liberal parents would be spectacular 3nodding

it is nice having liberal relaxed parents. I've bunned with my dad before but he isn't home very often. my mom has asthma so she can't smoke it but ya it is weird passing joints to your parents. I don't feel awkward though when i bun with other friends parents though...

My parents smoke and they are conservative to a point. I don't smoke with them, usually because of conflicting schedules but also because it would be kinda weird, maybe someday but not now, just a bit to soon.

I smoke with my mom. But I'm an adult. It was weird the first time, because I'd got in trouble for having pot/being high when I was in high school. But now I don't think it's a big deal. I don't see anything strange about having a beer with my dad. It's the same thing, I think.

Well..I have to say that I personaly love smoken with my dad!! He and I both find it a good way to spend quality time with each other. My dad has always live away from me and I love it when we do. We go fishing or something cool like that to get away from everyone else. So carrying on the tradition I as a parent now have taught my children the dangers of drugs and the responsilility of abusing them. My childrens first time with Canabis is with me or not at all and never to do it out side of the house with other. Becuase I can control what happens to them with it in my home. They can't control whats happens out side of the house or what other might do or put in it. PEACE

If anything, I'm relieved. It's not as though we lack for things to fight about; besides, when you're the offspring of a classic California toasted surfer and a charter member of the National Organization of Women, liberal views are par for the course. Besides, my mom's company is really only bearable when she's stoned. Otherwise she's a tweaked-out crazy b***h. *shrug* Guess I don't have to tell you what I use in the stuffing at Thanksgiving... lol I mean, as far as talking about sex goes, once your mom's told you, "when I met your father, he had the body of a god," everything after that just becomes a contest to see who can make the other start twitching first. rori_nya And on another note, lucky kids- liberal parents would be spectacular 3nodding *shrug* I'd have been content to be at least as important to my mom as her students, or to have found approval and encouragement for activities that stimulated me... meh. Growing up's never perfect.

hippiefoRk I am going to be cool like that with my kids. Me,too,but, I'm gonna have to hide that from my boyfriend. He thinks all drugs bring negativity and threatened to break up with me because I smoked. I just won't ******** tell him. It'll be our little secret. Between me and the kids.

I'm an adult, my mom knows I smoke, I've gotten her to accept it's basically harmless, but she has high blood pressure and some other health conditions that make her not want to try it.
My dad, who knows. He probably smoked pot in the military back in the 70s, half the armed forces in Vietnam did, after all. (Wouldn't you?) He's a diabetic so weed would inevitably be better for his health than drinking every day. x_X
And I do talk about my sex life with my mother. lol She knows I own sex toys, lube, and condoms, and she knows everyone I've ever slept with (I never actually 'came out' as bi, but I did tell her when I was dating my best female friend in high school)... I've always had a pretty good relationship with my mom, though.

Alcohol?? eek Yeah, alcohol turns right to sugar in your bloodstream... he'd be better off smoking crack, to be honest. As for herb, though, a guy I've known most of my life is also diabetic (didn't develop it til high school, though) and he smokes enough herb to practically keep a dispensary in business all by himself. lol rori_nya my ma frowns upon sex before marriage... and same sex tendencies sweatdrop Meh, so does mine. However, given her own habits (both past and present), she has absolutely no room to tell my sister and I anything. Which we've mentioned the few times she's tried. xp

My husband was like that when we first got together and it dang near did break us up and one point! I simply lated it out there on the line and told him this is who I am and that he was being a hipocrate! He never tried it or really new nothing of it or the good it brought to millions everyday! Take it or leave it! We have been married for 10 years in Oct. now! XD

I can't say... but where does she fit in to say that I can't even have sex with the man I love, not a fling or a temporary thing- the man I'm going to marry!!!!!! domokun
