((This is an RP between Ari and Kazuki))
Kazuki was by a stream licking himself clean. There were a series of BCRs on his ears. Some of them looked like Kazuki or Ari others were a mix. He sighed softly as he glanced out onto the water. Some how he had manage to have BCRs. He didn't even think Ari knew yet. This made him feel worse. How could he have run off like that? Then again how could Ari not tell? Well this was new to both of them right? Another sigh escaped Kazuki's Muzzle as he laided down completely. He stared off into the reflection of the water seeing the moon shining from the surface. He closed his eyes wondering what Ari was up to now.

Ari had managed to take care of matters with the rest of the tribe--meeting Nato and Amira's children, mostly--and now he was back here again, trying to find his mate.
At least, he thought Kazuki still wanted to be his mate. But then, after Kazuki had run off earlier, and then hid himself somewhere...
No, he shouldn't think like that. It would do him no good.
Especially after Sigal left the tribe...
No, he needed to focus. Find out why Kazuki had run. And then...well, he supposed he would see where things went from there.
Kousetsu had two leaders, who weren't mates, after all.
Still, if Kazuki didn't want to be with him anymore...He didn't know how he could stand it.
"Kazuki?" Ari called out as he walked, thinking his depressing thoughts. "Kazuki, are you there? Can you hear me?" A pause. "Are you alright?"
Maybe there was a valid reason for Kazuki not answering earlier. Maybe he was hurt, and it was Ari's fault for abandoning Kazuki when he needed him.
So many possibilities...He wished he just knew why!

It wasn't until his ears picked up a noise that he looked up. His ears swirled towards the sound and he got up. That couldn't be Ari...coudl it? He blinked and got to his feet his tail rather stiff behind him. He began to walk towards the sound his heart race in his chest. He peeked out from a bush and became face to face with those eyes he knew...and loved very much. He quickly lowered his head and cleared his throat.
"H-Hey..Ari..." He coughed a bit the BCRs on his ears shining in the pale light of the moon. He fidgeted now inside the bush wishing he hadn't moved from his spot.

"Kazuki--" Ari was planning to say more, but seeing the light reflect off of something on Kazuki's ears made him stop. New mods? No. Looking closer, he saw that they were blue and purple and white and black--BCRs.
"What...when...how...?" Ari stammered, not even sure what he was asking. The surprise of seeing the unexpected BCRs, especially after the events earlier in the day, was overwhelming him.

Kazuki lookedd up at Ari and noticed his glance. His cheeks brighten as he stepped out of the bush and towards Ari. He was mostly scared as he went over and nuzzled Ari. He felt terrible now. He should of told Ari. Why didn't he?!
"I....am sorry I never told you." Kazuki moved away a bit keepign his head lowered. His tail curled aroudn him tightly as he sat down.
"I should of told you that I was expecting but never did. I am sorry I acted so rash and badly..." Kazuki avoided looking at Ari. Though he did look at Ari's feet that were slightly infront of him. He was feeling guilty even when Ari had barely said a thing.

"Is that why you left earlier?" That was the one question Ari desperately needed the answer to. Seeing the BCRs on Kazuki's ears, it seemed less as though Kazuki had abandoned him.
True, he did still wish that Kazuki had stayed, but...
Well, no matter what the reason, he couldn't stay annoyed at Kazuki for long.

"Yes, that is part of the reason..." Kazuki sighed his tail flicking a bit. His ears where down as he hated that this question was thrown at him. Finally he spoke still not meeting Ari's gaze.
"I was also mad at you. You were so caught up in Sigal having left that you barely realized anything was wrong with me. Then again I also was being moody and more then likely over-reacted." Kazuki fidgeted glancing down at his paws. Then he finally lifted his head to look at his mate.
"I am sorry...Maybe I should of been more patient with you..."

Kazuki was right. He should have been paying more attention to his mate. Sigal was grown up, and could take care of herself, and worrying about her, or being depressed about her leaving, helped no one.
Still, he couldn't help how he felt. He couldn't help but feel depressed that Sigal left.
"Everything you've said is true. It's pointless to try to figure out who was more in the wrong, though. It's in the past, and all we can do now is learn from our mistakes. The mistakes we both made."

Kazuki listened and nodded in the end. He was fidgetting and looking down at his paws again. Fianlly he spoke without looking up.
"How is the rest of the tribe?" When finished Kazuki looked up with almost a distant look. It was clear his mind wasn't totally there but wandering elsewhere deep in thought. He got up as if to move closer to Ari but instead he stopped again and sat down his eyes still retaining that same distant look.

"Amira and Nato had kits as well, two of them. There's a new kit, who might be interested in the tribe. And I think there's something going on with Nako." It was the last that really concerned him. Everything else was good news, except that.
"Is something wrong?" Ari asked, seeing Kazuki start to move closer, then stop.

Kazuki nodded as he listened to the news of the tribe. He felt terrible. He had actted badly. How would he make it up to the tribe? Wouuld or do they even remember him? He sighed and jerked his head up when Ari questioned him. His eyes focused and he sighed.
"I just..I feel..." Kazuki looked away fidgetting once again and his tail flicking against the ground a bit. Finally he spoke again.
"I just feel unsure...I don't know how you feel or if you even want me around. I am a bad elder. I left the tribe for a period of time. I didn't tell anyone and I just actted badly." He shook his head his elder jewelry jingling as he did so. He kept his head low and sighed deeply.

"Kazuki, you're my mate. Why wouldn't I want you around?" To be someone's mate was to stay with them for your life, even if things weren't always perfect. He hadn't been expecting a perfect life, in any case, so it wasn't as if this was the end of the world for him.
"As for the rest of the tribe, I honestly don't know what they think. They haven't said anything to me. But still, we all make mistakes, and they'll just have to accept that even an elder can make a mistake."
Ari went over to Kazuki, and licked his cheek.
"I can't promise that everything is going to be okay, but I'll do my best to get us there, anyway."

Kazuki nodded and listened. Maybe Ari was right. After all nothing was perfect. Then Ari had licked his cheek and he smiled. He felt slightly nervous though still and fidgetted.
"Maybe I should step down as Elder..." He looked at Ari. There was definity a sadness in his eyes. As Kazuki couldn't hide anything. Then when he looked at Ari's eyes he swore he saw hope. Then again maybe that was his midn playing tricks on him. His tail uncurled from around him and just thrashed against the ground.
"I mean not many people like me. I seem to appear arrogant and annoying to most." He was remembering Rendo and that other fox who has said he was those things. Event though he had spoke with Isanth(sp) now he didn't seem to feel any better about it.

((I think it's Ianthe.))
"That's not what you want though, is it?" It was obviously a rhetorical question from Ari's tone of voice.
"To most? And whom would this most be? I know of Rendo, but certainly the opinions of just one fox can't weigh that heavily on you, can they?" Apart from Rendo, Ari couldn't think of a single fox that took issue with Kazuki, as a leader, or as an individual. Perhaps foxes didn't confide things such as that in him, as he was Kazuki's mate. Ari would like to believe he would at least be able to sense some hostility between a tribe member and Kazuki, though.
The last thing Ari wanted was for Kazuki to step down as an elder, and leave Ari trying to manage the tribe all by himself. Other tribes managed somehow, but this co-management was all he had ever known, and he didn't know how he would adapt.
He liked having Kazuki there, knowing that he wasn't alone in this. That he could depend on Kazuki to help run things, and keep the tribe in order. It had always been a team effort, and Ari had thought it always would be.
If that was what Kazuki really wanted, Ari might be a little less hesitant. But it seemed to him that Kazuki didn't like the idea of stepping down any more than Ari did.

Kazuki remained silent. He had no answer for Ari. He felt like running again. He never was one to run from his problems not even as kit. Maybe he was trying to relive that part of his life. He would be a terrible father. The poor BCRs on his ear were in for a rough time. He continued to beat himself up mentally until finally he looked at Ari tears in his eyes and he turned and ran.
"I'm sorry...Ari..." Kazuki ran and ran until he could run no more. He had reached a cliff. The wind russled his fur and it made him shiver. He looked over the cliff and sided. It reminded him of the prayer grounds up in the mountian. Glancing up he saw the moon shining bright in the sky. Sighing he said softly.
"Help me Higher Beings...Tell me what should I do..." He closed his eyes as if hoping for an answer to come to him.
