Stereotypes are based the things most common in a chosen group, clique or association. While people don't seem to like their chosen label, sometimes you can't help but wonder how much truth there is, in them. Example? I was in my local Circuit City, and wanted to get the price, plus tax with my calculator on something I wanted to buy. Having forgotten how, I asked around, to see if anyone else hadn't. Out of the 4 people I asked, only 1 knew...and it was the old Asian lady working the register(I kid you not). By the way, the formula for calculating tax here in Cali, is X x 1.0825
So what stereotype would you feel best suits you? For me...hippy seems appropriate, although I am clean as can be. Just very, very strange, in the eyes of many.

I've actually put a lot of thought into this subject and unfortunately come up with more questions than answers.
I thnk the only labels I could say fit me right now are: drunkard, pervert, pagan, and maybe disestablishmentarianist but I don't think that quite applies as I'd rather reform than destroy our system of government.

I'm an overachieving slut.
Because obviously I have big boobies and like to be dominant, so that means I'm obviously a sex-crazed whore who likes to be right every time.

I've thought about this question a lot in the past five years, ever since I first went into High school. Do my actions inevitably define me? And if they do, is it to the extent that a clique is appropriate? Does enjoying a good anime series/video as much as any good movie throw me in the same boat as the weeaboos whose Japanophilia has turned into a strange obsession? Does enjoying- and, in some cases, preferring- a quiet night of video games over a wild night of drunken revels put me in the same category as those who allow the same method of entertainment to run- and, in some cases, replace- their lives? Does enjoying a very healthy sexual relationship with a significant other make me like some who make sex the foundation of every relationship? I can't entirely answer that question; but, what I don't like is when someone throws me in a category simply because they see me do something that a stereotyped clique does. I might be a dork because I play Magic: the Gathering, but I'm also a jock for once playing and currently watching football. I'd also be a pervert for enjoying some more original aspects of sex. No matter what category someone throws me into, I'm going to surprise them if they bother to look at the other things I enjoy. No offense to Koiyuki for starting the thread; I imagine that this relatively light thread didn't deserve my criticisms on stereotypes and cliques in general. But to close out without typing a thousand more words, I'll just throw in a picture out of laziness. ~.^

I've put this on hold for long enough.
I've been called a social chameleon. I've been told that I can get along with almost any clique except for jocks, and it's only because of a lack of interest in sports, nothing more. I can even get included into a gay group and a girl group, and I will join as long as there is something interesting to do. I can be as loud and stupid as I want to be, and can be as thoughtful as I need to be. While I do let my love for video games take most of my free time, I can also go party with friends. I've been called both a hard drinker and a p***y, for preferring hard liquor to beer. And while I am a virgin, I don't exaggerate, or make a fuss about sex. If there is talk about it, I'll join in without overstepping what I know. All this has gained me something: the label of the loud, black guy. rolleyes

Because, as someone who has done the mattress mambo on occasion, I can attest to the well-spoken fact that it feels good. Good enough to eat, really. Although then you might find that you'll have to either prove another stereotype to be true or possibly dissappoint the significant other.. .. ..Just kidding. XD I hope..?

So is it in relation to what you view yourself as, or as to which clique you think you belong to, or in reflection of how others view you and what they think you belong in/with?

Skire So is it in relation to what you view yourself as, or as to which clique you think you belong to, or in reflection of how others view you and what they think you belong in/with? I'd say answer all and label them as you feel they should be categorized.

I'm the charismatic pretty boy that everyone likes and that seems too good to be true. (There's is but only 1 person I know of that doesn't like me, and that's because she cant accept who she is and love herself. Too bad for her, I hope she finds out who she is at one point and finds a nice guy, but, too late for the Skire Train lol.) The person who people want to get in his pants before knowing him for who he is. I am the guy that girls say "Oh, I'm so banging him when I get alone with him" when they only met me for 30 minutes. They say that I'm reliable, that I never say no to requests and who will stand up for the people I trust. (I know so, cause the other girls that want me, tell me these things just so I avoid the situation.) It's horrible. I'm not just a pretty boy. I'm not some sex doll. It's not because I do things with ease and do them well that you can take advantage of me and my feeling whenever you feel like it. It's not because I will do things every time you ask that I should be expected to do things all the time. I bailed University with only 15 credits left until I got my bachelor; because it's not what I want to do anymore. I wont do something for someone else. I'm an a*****e now and people should realize it. I'm the biggest geek there is, and I flaunt it, but it doesn't bother any girl at all, or guy, jocks love me, bimbos want me, I cant seem to attract the right crowds. I should be part of another stereotype...
