Extended Personality Boisterous, loyal, gladiatorial. These are the words given to describe Maquinar, and they do the job very well. Taken individually, these terms could apply to any number of the Feien currently in existence, but when combined as a whole, they form the unique personality that is Maq. While nowhere near as enthusiastic or energetic as some of his companions, Maq has a lust for life that cannot be disguised by his otherwise laid-back demeanor. He is always pushing himself to go the extra mile, figuratively and literally speaking, in everything that he does. His Bond, Tera, has theorized that his element of Heat is partially responsible for his constant movement, be it helping those he shares residence with, playfully (or not so playfully) hazing those he is less than fond of, or simply exercising in an effort to build his already considerable strength and stamina. Loud and rambunctious on occasion, Maq is never at a loss for the ability to do something needed. His sense of loyalty, while nearly unbreakable once earned, can be convoluted at times. Witness the reluctant confidence he still keeps for Quantel, his Bondmate: Despite all the pain and betray she has inflicted upon him, he still feels bound to protect her from harm, physical and otherwise, because of their shared Bond with Tera. Maq would never consider exposing her, unless her schemes threatened one of the others he calls his friends. His smile, easy and sincere, carries with it the genuine offer of friendship to any that he meets, but his offer must be met halfway in order to gain his complete trust. In his youth he befriended nearly everyone, but the damage Quantel has done to his sense of trust has soured him towards any that seem to be of a similar mind frame as her. A deeply competitive nature lays at his core, ranging from things as simple as the capability of travelling from one point to the next at the fastest clip, to something as obtuse as the varying height between the Feien. While he'll good-naturedly admit defeat to something he cannot correct, such as height, near everything else is fair game for him to learn and return as the better Feien. This results in his daily routine of exercises encompassing aerobics, weight training, and boxing, with the occasional workout in wrestling, fencing, and aerial acrobatics. Less frequent is his practice of magic, though it is something he does despite his strong tendencies towards the physical, as he has never lost his desire to be the first forger of weapons among the reborn Feien race. Spell Encyclopedia Heat Spells (Light, Earth) Quote: 0: Warm Blood - High temperatures do not affect this fairy.1: Warm Touch - Fingers grow warm. Touch an object to warm it slightly.4: Third-degree Burn - Hands grow hot enought to lightly burn flesh.6: Exude Warmth - Just standing near this fairy will warm you, as s/he acts like a heater. (This ability can be turned on or off, but cannot be used to inflict burns.) 7: Second-degree Burn - Hands grow hot enough to scald flesh. 9: Meltdown - Objects grow hot to the touch and become all melty, particularly plastics and metals. 10: First-degree Burn - Hands grow hot enough to seriously sear flesh. Non-Elemental SpellsThese are general spells that any fairy can cast regardless of their element. These spells are based on magical ability. Quote: 0: Flight - Perform aerial acrobatics regardless of wing size! This spell allows fairies to propel themselves through the air at will. Can only be cast on self.1: Magic Detection - Sense nearby magical objects or creatures.: Minor Healing - Cause cuts and bruises to heal faster.2: Cure - Cures poisons and infections. 3: Levitation - Gently levitate self or others with this handy little spell. Uses MAG instead of STR for lifting, length of lifting dependent on STA. Moves objects slowly and surely. Not combat-useful, as can be easily escaped. 4: Enhanced Bond - Fairy is especially attuned to their owner's thoughts and feelings.5: Magic Hand - Lift small objects or strike foe from afar with this invisible hand. Magic hands have a strength of 5 and dexterity equal to their caster's. 5: Heal - Heal cuts and bruises on the spot, and improve the condition of more serious wounds, speeding up the healing process. 6: Mark Object - Place a magical rune on an object marking its ownership. The fairy who placed the marker will always be able to find the object. 7: Free Bonding - Fairy can bond with up to three other fairies, pets, or individuals. Note that these bonds are permanent, and are not Enhanced. 7: Shield - An invisible barrier orb, up to twelve inches in diameter, surrounds the target. Can be cast on self or others. 8: Growth - Fairy increases 50% in size for a brief amount of time, about two minutes. (Increases with practice.) 9: Teleport - A short-distance teleportation spell. Move self or object up to ten feet instantaneously. With practice, destination can be controlled. 10: Mimic Spell - (Requires Magic Detection) By watching another feien perform a spell, the spell can be duplicated within 30 seconds of the original casting. The feien trying to mimic must have Magic Detection and have been actively paying attention to the spell. The mimic spell's effects will be up to half as strong as the original spell. Stat-Based SpellsQuote: Strength 1-2: Weakling - Capable of lifting small pieces of paper or strands of hair at best, this feien can sap the strength of another nearby with a bit of thought. 8: Giant Strength - Gives a +2 to strength for a few seconds, enabling a fairy to perform feats of great strength. 10: Berserk - Adds a temporary +3 to strength, -1 to wisdom and intelligence. A fairy under the influence of this spell is especially dangerous in hand-to-hand combat, uncovering hidden reserves of power and doing more damage. Can only be cast on self. Dexterity 1-2: Clumsy - This feien drops everything and trips a lot. With a bit of thought, they can cause another to temporarily be a klutz, too. 8: Mend - Joins two objects of similar material together. Simply hold them together and cast. Useful for fixing things. Can also be used for healing. 10: Form - Join two objects of any nonliving material together. Useful for creating new objects. Stamina 1-2: Shortness of Breath - This feien can scarcely do anything without having to gasp for air, and with a bit of thought, can force others to experience the same. 8: Resist - High fortitude enables you to better withstand spells, attacks, bad weather, and any other force that might physically affect a body. 10: Regeneration - Wounds heal and energy recovers more quickly. Wisdom 1-2: Foolhardy - This is the feien that sticks his tongue on a pole in winter. He can cause others to engage in similar acts of foolishness. 8: Enhanced Senses - You are especially perceptive and are more likely to notice things. In addition, you get a bonus spell point! 10: Advanced Knowledge - Your wisdom enables you to cast spells as if you had one more point of magic, and you get a bonus spell point! Intelligence 1-2: Idiocy - This feien has trouble understanding things, even after it's been explained three or four times. They can cause others to experience similar symptoms with a little bit of thought. 8: Greater Casting - Your spells have greater effect. 10: Panelemental - For two spells points or one point for a 0-level spell, a fairy can learn a spell from an element connected to their own, up to magic level 5. Charisma 1-2: Repulsive - This feien sends others running away with her lousy personality. She can also temporarily decrease the charisma of another with a bit of thought. 8: Dazzling Smile - People find it hard to resist your dazzling smile. Turn it on and watch their hearts melt. Less effective against people with high wisdom. 10: Charm - Entrance the mind of a person, animal, or fairy for a short time. Less effective against people with high wisdom or intelligence. If you try to make them do something they dislike a lot, the entrancement can break. Speed 1-2: Slothy - This feien moves almost excruciatingly slow, and can cause the speed of others to decrease with a bit of thought. 8: Head Start - Launch suddenly forward with a burst of extra momentum and speed. 10: Flash Motion - Move so quickly it almost seems like a teleport. Heavily drains STA. Can only be cast on self. Magic 1-2: Disrupt Magic - This fairy is so bad at magic, she can mess up other spells cast against her or in the same area. She can also lessen the boosts given by abilities. Luck 1-2: Bad Luck - Bad things seem to happen to this feien a lot. By concentrating, this feien can direct bad luck at an enemy. Anything that can go wrong for the target usually does. 8: Good Luck - Good things are more likely to happen to this feien. The dice always seem to go his way and anything that can go right usually does.10: Bad Luck - By concentrating, this feien can direct bad luck at an enemy. Anything that can go wrong for the target usually does. Other: Adrenaline Rush - STR:8 SPD:8 - Charge towards the enemy very quickly, inflicting extra damage if successful. Quick Maneuvering - INT:8 SPD: 8 - Execute a very fast maneuver in midair or on the ground. Good for preventing collisions. Good Luck Charm - DEX:10 LCK:8 - Craft a small charm that increases the wearer's luck. Can also be used to imbue good luck into an exsting item. Bad Luck Charm - DEX:10 LCK:10 - Craft a charm that curses the wearer, decreasing their luck. Can also be used to imbue good luck into an exsting item. Sustained Speed - STA: 8 SPD: 8 - This feien can run quickly, and for a long time. Extended Spellcasting - MAG:8 STA: 10 - Spells cast by this feien will last an extra-long time, up to twice as long as their intended duration. (Does not work on abilities.) Sustained Strength - STR: 8 STA: 10 - This feien is strong and can maintain that strength for extended periods of time. Key Bold - Learned Italic - Intended

 Story Entries Being a solitary creature, Quantel seldom interacts with those outside her circle of control, which currently consist of the handful of Pixapets she owns. Her brief encounters with others show the multiple personality traits she will affect in order to keep her ultimate goals discreet. The majority of her time is spent cultivating her powers, which includes frequent attempts at ascertaining what the Feien gemstone she has come into possession of contains. Her time spent with her human bond Tera and her Feien Bondmate Maquinar, is minimal. Journal Entries After losing her previous writings to the fire, Quantel thought it best not to continue to commit any of her thoughts to paper, lest they be discovered by undesirable eyes. As of this time, there is no journal for Quantel. Dream Entries There have been no recorded references to dreams for Quantel as of this time. Quantel's sleep is light, during the brief periods that she does sleep, and the slightest noise will awaken her.  Story Entries Maq is a constant source of activity, whether it be working out, traveling to see friends, or hanging out with the other inhabitants of the house. Seldom is he alone, as his personality seems to draw others to him. Though very easy going, he has a strong protective streak for anything or anyone he perceives to be weaker than himself, and he's not afraid to speak his mind or use his fists if the situation calls for it. While he spends a lot of time with Tera, he prefers to see as little as Quantel as possible. Journal Entries A rather active personality leads Maq to sparingly make anything like a journal entry. Occasionally, however, he finds his mind rather full of miscellaneous thoughts and ideas, and uses his journal, a bundle of small pieces of paper clumsily threaded together by Tera, as a place to pour them all out. Once this purging has taken place, he feels a great sense of relief, and it may be some time before his next entry. Most entries are followed by a workout of some form, as the act of sitting still long enough to write will have caused a build up of excessive energy. Dream Entries There have been no recorded references to dreams for Maq as of this time. Maq tends to sleep heavily each night, and is early to rise. Story Entries Having originally revisited Gaia in order to find sanctuary, Tera soon found herself with a home and an abundance of creatures, large and small, to share her residence with. For a while she lived pleasantly, thinking little of what she had left behind, until the arrival of Maquinar and Quantel brought her past tumbling back, their appearances uncannily resembling key figures in her life. When she was eventually forced to return to the homeworld that had rejected her, Tera brought Maq and Quantel along for the trip, afraid to leave them behind. Unbeknownst to her, their absence from Gaia grew overly long, and it was the eventual destruction of the House that finally brought her back. Tera has vowed now to disregard the coincidence of the likenesses Feien; the time spent away from Gaia brought her closer to Maq, but further away from Quantel, which she deeply regrets. While she focuses on reconnecting with Quantel, she can't shake the feeling that sometime in the near future, her previous existence will once more have a bearing on the life she now enjoys.
Journal Entries  Tera's journal, a gift from her grandmother, Anwahs, was purchased from Moorgaine Industries. The book itself, while a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, is rather mundane, save for the sextet of stones on the cover. Two tijou each of the elements Ice, Fire, and Bone, which were chosen by Anwahs to represent elements Tera once possessed power over: Ice, Fire and Demonic Summoning. After the loss of her previous journal in the fire set by ZDT in order to bring Tera back to Gaia, Tera had to make do with loose sheets of paper until the holiday season, when she discovered the journal wrapped in a ribbon on her desk one morning. The following are entries currently in Tera's journal.
Dream Entries Tera's dreams are jumbled recollections of her past, usually featuring herself as a non-entity. The reappearance of her grandmother and the message she had delivered has once more brought Tera's dreams to the surface. They signify that which she has not yet come to terms with in herself: Her previous crimes and her current insecurities.
