May 28th: If you would like to volunteer -any- information to the investigation to locate the missing feien, or donate your time or assistance (ICly or even OOCly), please visit the Voluntary Information Submission thread in the guild. Submission can be anything from journal entries dating from the time period that you think might be relevant, offers to be interviewed, scraps of information, offers to participate... Anything you think might be helpful towards solving the case!

February 24th: Claims are open! If there is a name listed in parenthesis next to an available feien, that means it has been reserved for a preclaimer. Also, as per a recent change, you are allowed to have a claim in one preowned feien and one new feien at a time, but if you bribe, you must specify which you're bribing for. This is to help encourage people to give homes to older feien, many of whom already have adult pictures drawn, and all of whom are delivered as blooms!

February 18th: Preclaims are open! If you're interested in obtaining a feien, new or old owners alike, preclaiming is now open! Please post your top three picks, in order of preference, in the thread. Preclaims will be open for the next five days, after which I will announce tentative final claims and resolve any claiming conflicts. For the feien available, please see post 10 (Available)! Please do not fill out any actual claim forms during this period. I only want a numbered list of your top three picks.

Febuary 17th: Contest Alert! A little late adding this to the news, but in the wake of the last page contest, we're having yet another one. This one will fun between pages 501 and 750 and every post on every page is eligible!* The prize is choice between a free feien (including rare elements), 500 points, or 50k pure gold. Are you a lurker? Now's a good time to make some posts!

* There is one exception to post eligibility: spam posts. If you're going to post, make it actual conversation or better yet, RP. If the winning post from the dice roll is a spam or bump post, I will roll the whole thing again. Additionally, if you are currently banned from the shop, you are not eligible.

January 13th: Contest Alert! We're having another page raffle! First post (or first RP post if there's roleplay going on) on every page between 401 and 450 an the last post (or last RP post) on every page between 451 and 500 will be entered into the raffle, the prize being the choice between a free feien or 500 points. Post away!

October 31st: Happy Halloween! Unfortunately Em still hasn't regained her power yet, but the contest ends today, winners will be pulled as soon as she gets back. So post, people! We want two winners!

As we all know, October is the month of that wonderful holiday Halloween, a celebration of ghosts and spirits but most of all, candy. Here at the Feien shop, we'd like to offer the chance to get a very special treat.

Here's how it works. For every post you make on a page you will be entered in that page's raffle. Roleplay posts will earn two entries. Each page will have one winner who will be entered into the overall raffle. The contest is open to anyone, feien owners or lurkers. And the prizes?

The grand prize winner who wins in the overall raffle will have their choice from the following.

- 100K
- 2 gemstones and first pick of the upcoming gemstone selection
- a new feien, immediately delivered, to be chosen from a list supplied by the Fleet or from any unclaimed feien currently listed
- immediate, free delivery of an already-claimed feien regardless of bribe status or additional fees
- 500 points
- special secret prize?

Every post on every page from now until October 31st has a chance to win, so post away!

Restrictions: In order to earn two entries, roleplay posts must be more than one line and have sufficient roleplay content. Contest is not open to blacklisted individuals regardless of their posting status unless they make sufficient amends to remove themselves from the blacklist. Contest officially begins at the start of page 215 and ends on the last page bearing the date of October 31st with the last post bearing that date. Additional prizes may be offered, to be announced at a later time. Page raffle winners will be announced throughout the run of the contest. Ownership of a feien is not required to enter. Roleplay is not required to enter. If an individual is added to the blacklist during the contest due to conduct, all their entries will be removed. Any page raffles they won will not be re-raffled. October 5th: Several updates across the pages as well as a bunch of new deliveries despite the fact my Internet is barely working. Where the heck is everyone? I have to spend several -hours- fighting with my network to get these feien posted, and it's a bit disappointing when no one else is doing anything...

August 31st: Actor Michael Sheard, who played Admiral Kendal Ozzel in Star Wars: the Empire Strikes Back, has passed away at age 65. While most Imperials have long regarded Ozzel as inept for his failure at the battle of Hoth, he was instrumental in the fight against the Rebellion, if only because his failings as a commander led to the promotion of Admiral Piett. Sheard will be missed by fans; he was a wonderful gentleman who was very generous with his convention appearances, even late in his life. Article Databank

July 30th: The shop is now open once again! Gosh those feien went fast! There are still a few left. Claiming is now open to everyone, and so are the bribes!

July 26th-ish: Pre-claiming is open! In order to try and avoid five people going after the same feien and to see what everyone is interested in, if you are interested in claiming a feien please PM the shop account and tell me! Pre-claiming does not guarantee that you will get to claim a particular feien! It's just to help me sort out how to start the claims in such a way that it won't be detrimental to people who aren't online when claims open, and to make sure the supply fits the demand.

Feien fairies are magical winged creatures ranging anywhere from two inches to ten inches in height. They require bonds in order to survive -- humans or other humanoids who share their life energy with the feien.

Feien are like snowflakes and people -- no two are exactly alike. Each has a different marking style, hair style, and adult image. Though they appear male or female, they are in actuality genderless. They possess an intelligence equal to that of any humans and are capable of speaking and understanding all languages spoken and understood by their bonds. While they are not capable of great physical feats, they make excellent messengers and assistants in all sorts of tasks.

There's no real limit on how many Feien you can own, but be warned! If you have too many and neglect one, it might grow weak, or even die. They need human energy to survive, and if you have too many, that energy will be spread too thin to sustain the feien.

There are four stages of feien life: the bloom, the juvenile, the adult, and the gemstone. Additionally, feien can access two more stages of growth depending on roleplay: immortality and merging.


All fairies are born from flowers with the aid of a summoner fairy. These blossoms are infused with a fairy's magic and resemble the fairy that will emerge in some way. Fairy blossoms can be snipped from the plant and sold or traded. Fairies emerge from their blossoms after 4 - 10 days.
About Blossoms: There are a few things you can tell by looking at a blossom. First, the fairy's color. The most dominant color of the flower is the fairy's elemental color. Hair or eye colors may also appear. Sometimes you can tell what the fairy's wings will look like, or get a glimmer of their personality. Fairy blossoms don't require any care-- you don't need to put them in a vase or anything-- but some will prefer sunny places, some prefer dark places, some will want water. If you can figure out what your blossom prefers, it might benefit your unborn fairy!


This young fairy has emerged from its bloom and started the bonding process. During the juvenile stage, the bond is not yet fully formed so the feien can be traded from one bond to another, but doing so will stunt its growth into adulthood. The feien's genetic traits are starting to show and it has a personality. Juveniles range from 3" to 5" in height.
About Juveniles: All fairies are born with full knowledge of speech and personalities. They all have the same base image, but each one has unique markings and hair. You'll get a pretty good idea of what your adult fairy will look like from its juvenile form. You'll also get your fairy's first stats, which increase or decrease as a fairy ages, depending on how your roleplay. Please be careful with your juvenile fairy, as they are just learning to fly.

Once upon a time, there was a lovely little shop in Barton Town where Feien Fairies were headquarted. The owner of the shop, Emperial, decided to leave Gaia and the nice little shop was exploded. Now the place where it stood is a patch of wildflowers and weeds.

When Emperial left, she gave the shop to the Fleet to run. The Fleet set up an HQ across the street from where the old shop was, on the second floor. Then the Fleet got dismantled and abandoned the location.

Currently, there is no feien shop, but there will probably be something new happening soon. In the meantime, the following is the former Fleet HQ description:

Directly across the street from the old feien shop is a monlithic black door. Someone has scraped off a bunch of letter, but by peering closely at the remnants of the adhesive you can make out:

There is a buzzer to the right of the door, but ringing it results in nothing. The door is unlocked. Beyond the door is a cramped, narrow stairwell with another door at the top. This door is wooden with a frosted glass window set into it, also unlocked.

It opens into what once was a reception area. The carpeting is a tough dark blue speckled material and extends through the waiting area into the hall and to the lounge. There is an empty wooden secretary's desk without any chair to sit in. A potted plant sits in one corner, looking like it could use a watering or a better home. Someone has smashed several broken bottles of alcohol around the area.

A large window looks out onto the street below and offers a good view of where the previous feien shop used to be. The window has a curious sub-window in it which quickly reveals itself to be a miniature door cut into the glass through which a small flying creature could enter. It is unlocked

Strangely, the window cannot be seen through from the street, not even at night. It possesses some sort of coating which makes it a true one-way mirror, but from the inside the view is crystalline clear. The glass is also very thick, in all likelihood bulletproof and perhaps even more. The other windows in the building are exactly the same.

Directly ahead is a short hallway with several more doors and a glimpse of a large room at the end. The first doorway in the hall area is near the stairs. The frosted window has had letters scraped off, but it is impossible to tell what those letters were.

The only thing the frosted window reveals about this office is that there must be a window inside: there is a faint glow of daylight. The door is locked.

The office beyond is empty. A window looks out into the alley. The wooden floor is scraped. Empty bookshelves line the walls. Something was once nailed to the far wall.

Past this office is the kitchen. The doorway is open to the hallway and the kitchen is visible from the waiting area. There is a window in the kitchen with a lovely view of the alleyway very similar to the view from the neighboring office. The floors are white linoleum with faux tile print. Counters line the back wall with a sink, four-burner stove and oven, and a well-used coffee maker. A pot of very old, very smelly coffee sits there. The cabinets above the counters are empty. Directly to the right and below the sink is a very small dishwasher which can fit several plates and utensils, but it doesn't work. The lights in the kitchen don't work, but the water runs. Unfortunately it is unfiltered tap water and not suitable for anything. The stove and oven do not work.

Adjacent to the counters is the refrigerator, which has been without power for too many days. Spoiled food smells surround it.

Across from the kitchen is another door with a frosted glass window, this one ajar. It sits empty except for a desk. The floors are wooden. There are several empty bookshelves along the walls. There is a small door in the office leading to an empty closet.

Next to this office is the doro for the janitorial closet, which is locked and will not open. Inside it is merely a small, bare room with a dirty mop and a bucket.

Across the hallway and next to the kitchen is the door leading to the bathroom. The room inside has clearly been converted into a bathroom, as it is several feet too large. The bathroom has a toilet, sink, large cabinets, and a frosted glass shower stall. The bathroom also has a window, but not only is the glass one-way, it's also frosted. If it were clear it would only reveal more of the alleyway. The toilets and sink and shower still work, but there is no toilet paper.

Across from the bathroom is a locked plain office door which does not have a window or any signage. Something has jammed the door closed and the material of the door is strangely impermeably to physical assault.

After this door the hallway opens up into the lounge. There are two couches sitting at odd angles, as if someone pushed the aside to move out something else. There is an indentation in the carpet where the jukebox used to be, and an indentation where the television used to be.

On the left-hand wall is a plain door. It opens into a small, windowless cement room adjacent to the bathroom. The room is completely unfurnished and empty. There are some water stains.

In order to buy a feien, you must first place a claim on an available feien. Claiming a feien is FREE. You may have up to two claims at any given time: one claim on any new Fleet feien (numbered) and one claim on any preowned/predrawn feien (letters).

When we make a delivery, if there are no bribes to be filled, we look at all the current claims and pick one to deliver. You are notified via PM that your feien is ready for delivery. At this point, you send the trade for your feien. Do not send any trades before you are PMed to do so.

You may cancel your claim or switch your claim to another feien any time prior to delivery. If you change your mind when you receive delivery notice, you will be blacklisted and charged a 500g data processing fee. Pay the fee to be removed from the blacklist, no hard feelings.

If you do not pay for your feien's delivery within five months, your delivery will be cancelled and you will be charged the processing fee.

Certain feien may have additional requirements for claiming, such as needing to be in a one-feien home, needing to be in a multi-feien home, costing extra money, or seeking a specific owner personality. If you are not prepared to meet these needs, do not place a claim on the feien in question.

Preclaims
Prior to large influxes of feien, the Fleet will sometimes set up preclaiming. This is a system by which all interested parties pick first, second, and third choices, and the Fleet attempts to match as many feien to potential owners as possible. Once all preclaims are assigned, the claimants have three months to fill out claim forms on the feien. After three months, the preclaim expires. There is no processing fee for preclaims.


Breeding Terms
All new feien claimed under the new rules (even preowned/predrawn feien) are subject to the Fleet's breeding policy which states that at any given point in time the Fleet may recall the feien in question for breeding. This will take said feien out of commission for approximately two days, after which time the feien will be returned to its bond. By claiming any feien, you agree to these terms.




Unless you bribe an official, your claim will be processed at random from all available claims. Bribes can be made in any amount. A bribe simply guarantees that the person who has made the largest bribe will be served first, unless another order is currently in the middle of being processed, in which case the largest bribe will be served second. Bribes do not count towards final purchase price.

Any denomination is accepted. Bribes are non-refundable. But nice bribes do get you a place on the whitelist!

Tips on Gemstone Selection: Every detail on a gemstone is important. When selecting a gemstone it is wise to consider how the gem's colors will affect the feien it merges with. For this reason, gemstones with many colors, while pretty, might not work with some feien. In other cases, gemstones with few colors may not work well. A purple gemstone on a purple feien might not change the feien's appearance very much. Similarly, a purple gemstone added to a light blue or orange feien might not look very good. Always look for details! Most gemstones contain several colors, some of which might not be obvious at first glance. Examine your gemstone carefully for any faint colors or small patches you might not catch at first glance. There are several other important clues you can learn from gemstones, but you'll have to figure those out for yourself.
