The day was a peacful one, or at least thats what it was until THEY arrived.

A large black, circular sigil appeared on the forest floor, followed by a bright flash of light. Forest birds and animals scattered, as the air suddenly became heavy and seemed to become liquid above the sigil. Suddenly the air seemed to bulge, taking shape of water drop as the sigil only glowed brighter. Another water drop shaped object appeared in the air, both slowly stretching out toward the ground as the sigil glowed. Then as suddenly as it had appeared, the sigil disappeared, both water drops popping and revealing two figures, one landing with a thud on the ground, completely caught off guard by the new world as well as the new form he had.

" STUPID MAGE! What did you do THIS time?!"

Of course, the other figure was the one to land smoothly from the transporting magic. They had done it enough times before, and besides, he was known to be the graceful one of the group. Curled in somewhat, with pale hair covering his face, it was hard to even tell it was a male. One ear flickered at the yellings of his comrade. A normal occurance, one that let him know the magic had worked, and that he loved to instigate. The male named Fai gave a goofy grin, before opening his one blue eye to find the other. "Kuroriiiin, what did I do?" Why was he always blamed for everything? D; His teasing was halted when he finally caught sight of the other. Noooo, that couldn't be him?! Kurogane was.....a...a PUPPY!

"Hyuuuu!" Fai bounced up beside the other, his black coat swishing behind him in his excitement. Fai placed a hand to his chin as he observed the many changes to his comrade. "My my Kuro, you do look funny. But in a cute way!" Fai tilted his head to peek at the...three tails, and big bloody wings. What world had they landed into?

Kurogane huffed loudly, slowly pushing himself up into a sitting position, looking greatly depressed about his particular situation. His long, rabbit like ears folded back in anger as well as embarassment, his three tails flicking behind him in anger as well.

The ninja winced as he heard the mage's dreaded 'hyuu' noise, but knew that it was merely the tip of the ice burg of annoyances coming his way from his magically inclined companion. He did glare at the said magician when he heard that the other thought he looked funny.

" Its not like you are any different," he muttered, pulling his wings closer to his back without thinking about it. He huffed slightly again then realized something, there was only Fai picking on him.

" Where are the others?"

Fai gave a cheesy grin to the ninja. Of course he'd be a grumpy puppy, he had two extra tails! Fai blinked and stared at the blood speckled wings. Well, at least it wasn't Kuro's own blood. That would be a problem. With smile still in place, he tilted his head at Kurogane. "Oh?" He had felt a little funny, but...

Yep, no hands. Instead, Fai was turning about a set of paws, just like his comrade. A quick turn behind revealed a pair of vibrant blue wings somehow attatched to his back. "How interesting!" A quick thought sent signals to the new body, and the wings responded with a flap. Now those would be fun to test. Fai pouted back to Kuro. "Awww, I didn't get a tan though!" But he did come with the Infinity clothing. Oh how he would miss his furry white coat. The mage peered down, grinning as he poked his own belly. "So I am a kitty then!"

Kurogane only glared out around them, more interested in where they were, what was going on, and if they were in danger rather than what the hell he had turned into this time around. The kids weren't around and neither was the white pork bun, and yet he and the mage could understand each other perfectly so they had to be around here somewhere. Right? Or was this Yama all over again?

The thought made the ninja's mind wander on old memories, old memories that he wasn't exactly in the mood to dwell on when he needed to concentrate.

Kurogane finally turned his attention toward his companion more interested in pointing this out to the mage than listening to him call himself a cat. Although he figured he would regret it later, Fai did do a complete turn around whenever he was forced to be serious.

" Mage, you do notice that kids aren't here? As well as that stupid pork bun?"

Blink blink. The smile on the pale maw evaporated easily, the mage finally peering around for the younger ones. No sign of Syaoran-kun, or th princess. His kitsu ears perked high, trying to hear any hints of them. Or more likely, the desperate squeaks of Mokona. But, there was nothing familiar to be heard.

"That's happened before though. I'm sure we'll run into them eventually." The mage held no concern of his and the ninja's well-being. They could handle themselves just fine. The only reason that time mattered, was to be sure the two children were alright. His liquid blue eye turned to Kuro. "It's too calm to be Yama. Unless so much time has passed, that it's after the war." That was the only conclusion they could make, without Mokona around as a needed translator. "But we were humans then."

Kurogane's eyes met with Fai's for a moment, then her turned his attention elsewhere. Hefting himself up he began to walk around on his new legs, trying to get used to walking around like....well a dog. He didn't worry about the kids, however. He was certain that no matter where they were, Syaoran would take care of the princess. He merely found it odd that the pork bun had screwed up on their landing yet again.

" This isn't Yama. Completely different climate as well as forms." He frowned at his animalistic form yet again, he needed to get his mind off of it. The ninja huffed again and began to walk away from their landing spot, no certain direction in mind, just going to be going, or rather to do something.

The pale kitsu tilted his head and watched quietly as Kurogane stood to leave. That...did seem like a good idea. The mage didn't want to stay in any location longer than necessary. Forcing his tails to reflect his moods, even if they were masks, Fai bounded after the ninja. "Hyuuu, where we going Kuro-puppy?" Even with four legs, he quickly adjusted to the new body, as if he had lived it once before. If there was one thing Fai could do, it was move about in such a flexible manner.

Blue tails twitched as he focused on his wings. A great flap to push him in the air, and spread to let him float back to the ground. Up, down, up, and down. It was such a struggling process that the mage was still at pace with the other. "C'mon Kurorin! The wings will help us much faster than paws."

" Don't know, but I think that moving would do better than sitting around doing nothing," he muttered in response. He wanted to get out of this world as quickly as possible, for he could only take so much of the mage's teasing and he knew this teasing silence would only last so long. The best plan of action? Find the pork bun and the kids, see if there is a feather, get it if there is, and if not move right along to the next world.

Kurogane huffed in annoyance as he watched Fai flying around, his blood red eyes half lidded in boredom. He never understood how the mage could have so much fun doing, well basically nothing. As long as the magician stayed sober, however, this would do just fine.

"Hnn," was his response to Fai's idea of flying. Truth be told he wasn't comfortable with the idea. While the magician was used to flying or wind magic, Kurogane preferred to keep his feet on the ground. He did have a point though, flying would possibly be faster.

Fai simply nodded to his comrade's logic. It was always the same in each world they visited. Plop, grab feather, and zap they're gone. With each world, it was becoming less fun and more down to business. Usually more difficult than the last. The magician continued his hopping flight, the eyepatch keeping his inner thoughts out of sight from Kuro. Not that his eyes were ever readable before, but the ninja had a keen sense of perception.

"Let's hurry then, Kurogane." The paler kitsu halted his hops, and began darting forward. He'd need a headstart to even hope of getting off the ground. Blue wings spread wide, and with them pumping he pounced off the soft ground successfully, leaving the other behind. He was flying!

Kurogane paused for a moment, his steps faultering when he heard the mage use his full name. Earlier days he would have given anything to make the mage stop with the nicknames and call him by his correct name. however, he got so used to the nicknames that when he did hear his full name, it felt odd, perhaps even hurtful? Especially after what happened in Tokyo...

Kurogane shook his head, the memories clouding his mind while in a new area wasn't exactly what he wanted, especially not with those memories. He huffed slightly as he watched Fai take flight, with a spark of jealousy perhaps or just a nervous gut feeling about doing it himself. But he wasn't one to let the mage upstage him either.

He huffed yet again, more in agitation at his own hesitance, then he followed Fai's example, getting a good running start then leaping into the air, his raven black, blood splattered wings spreading wide and filling with air. A good few pumps, which he was surprised he knew how to do, and he was gliding through the air, wobbling from side to side, but nonetheless flying.

Amazing what a name could do to drop defenses. Fai was already in air, before the other even started pacing faster. Oh well, that was Kuro's burden to hold. And the mage would do nothing to help ease it, sinec he was part of the equation.

Despite the ease it was to get off the ground, staying in the air was another task. Air was already stinging his eyes, and his wings were having a hard enough time carrying his lanky form, let alone learn adjusting altitudes. Giving a frown, Fai tried to backpeddle his wings as the trees were coming closer. Blue tails proved a great help in swinging momentum and holding balance. He turned his head to spy Kuro flying around, having just as much difficulty. Hmm, perhaps walking would be easier for now. But practice was still needed. The aerial view would help them to find the rest of the group.

Kurogane stayed closer to the ground, comforted with the fact that if he did suddenly fall, it wouldn't be that far. Either way he was more intent on something else. In the previous world they had been in, a LOT of things had happened, a lot of things that Kurogane was very intent on getting some answers about things. Maybe the kids not being around was a good thing?

Deep in thought he had barely enough time to dart out of the way of a tree he was about the fly into. He growled at himself in anger and dissappointment and quickly landed, huffing.

" I'm staying on the ground! I can run faster than these things can take me." He spread his bloodstained wings out then folded them against his back, glaring at nothing in particular besides his own thoughts getting him distracted. This was certainly not like him. He growled yet again and started off in the same direction as Fai was flying, keeping a steady pace as he darted in between the trees. Maybe running in this forest would keep his mind off of things*

Thankfully, Fai wasn't psychic. Linking to any of Kurogane's thoughts would have been responded with an automatic "no". Besides, the eyepatch still itched. Talking would fix nothing. Still flapping in place, the mage tossed the ninja a raised brow. Trust the ninja to stick to what he knows best. He was already darting out of sight with trees as his cover. Adding more energy to his flaps, Fai forced himself to rise above treetops. At least now he could glide without threat of hitting bark and splinters. circling about, he finally moved forward to catch up with the other.

Like a persistant shadow, Fai followed overhead, despite his want to just soar off and explore. They needed to find the kids and Mokona. Besides, he couldn't risk losing contact of the other. Both of them depended on that.

Kurogane kept running, pushing hard enough to make even his chest burn slightly from the strain. There was certainly one good thing about his new form, it had good stamina and having four legs made it a bit easier to move around. But he would never admit this to his companion, it would only create more opportunities to get teased.

Soon he noticed that the trees were growing thinner and that the path in front of him was growing increasingly brighter. He put a bit more oomph into his run and then he bounded out into a meadow. A few stumbling steps and he came to a halt, panting slightly as he squinted his eyes to the blaring sunlight. A few good blinks and he could kind of see, and he saw that there was nothing civilized near by.

" Do you see anything Mage?" He called up to his companion, knowing that the magician had been keeping an even pace with him up in the air. At this point, it seemed like it would take forever to find the kids if they were severly separated, or even in this world.
