I almost voted "stupid emo ********" just to irritate you.
There's some damn good "emo"/indie music out there. Just...not much in comparison to the whole.
I guess indie is my favorite style, just because I love bands like Silver Jews, Modest Mouse and My Morning Jacket. I guess alternative rock is a better name for all three, though. Well...Silver Jews are better called heroin bluegrass...s**t.
See, this is why categories screw up everything when it comes to music! XD

Especially Modest Mouse. 3nodding I like basically everything. (Except for emo s**t and certain rap and country artists, though there are good parts of almost every genre) No favorite band in particular. I love Rush, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Ayreon...A lot of prog stuff, I guess.
