Those 'anti-drug' ads and commercials always made me wonder. Now, by calling them 'anti-drug', that means one of two things. Either they are a complete antithesis of drugs, like matter and anti-matter, or they stand against drugs.
In the first case, that means they are mutually exclusive, that they cannot exist in the same space in the same time. Therefore, whatever the anti-drug is, were it to be in use, or present, in the same space as drugs, the two would cease to exist. I've heard nothing of such occurrences in the news, so we must disregard this use of the term.
Therefore, it must be the latter choice. That the activity, or object stands against drugs. But if it is an object, such as anime, or a living thing, like cats, they generally do not have the mental faculty to stand for or against anything. (The day a cat votes Democrat is the day I tap a Pikachu for green mana.) Therefore the second option is incorrect as well.
This means the entire concept is flawed, that these activities, objects and beings are not, in fact, anti-drugs. They may be psuedo-drugs, however. Things done, or played with, or partaken, in lieu of drug usage.
That's just my opinion, however.
