Lalla Ward's version of Romana is one of my favorite companions. Whereas the Mary Tamm incarnation of Romana could at times be a bit too much of a know-it-all (like a Time Lord Hermione Granger), Ward's is a bit quirky... almost like a female version of the 4th Doctor. She and Tom Baker made a great team (on the show, at any rate).

Plus, she's mega cute.

Well, I'm normally not all that fond of whiny companions with fake American accents and hideous outfits. But I'll make an exception for Peri, because of all the gratuitous cleavage shots and such.

My three favorite companions are probably Romana II, Sarah Jane, and Zoe (in that order). I don't know where Peri goes, but it would be above Mel and Adric, at least.

Resurrecting this thread, mainly because Lalla Ward is just so freakin' HOT. Easily one of the top five Companions - and yeah, Zoe is up there too.

My reaction to Lalla Ward is always WHY ARE YOU SO PRETTY?! Because she totally is.

Fourth Doctor Serials with Romana are on the top of my list of classic!Who to watch, largely because Romana seems so. Damn. Awesome.

I want to be her for Halloween rather desperately.
