Name: Arian
Age: Unknown (looks around 17)
Eye colour: Bright emerald
Height: About 5'6"
Species: Moon unicorn-elf
Clan: Anárioni (in exile)
Season of Appearance: Winter

Apperance: Somewhat messy pale, almost silverish hair with jade tips is worn in a braid that falls just past the waist.

From shoulder to hand on both arms winds a series of starflower markings and three small silver stars mark Arian's right cheek - both of these are clan marks showing that Arian comes from the Anárioni clan.

Arian also has medium-sized silver-grey wings, a silver horn and a floofy tail that matches his hair colour.

Abilities: Healing, flight (via his wings), good at growing things, can communicate with other unicorn-elves or with unicorns via a form of telepathy by touching horns, can use horn to purge poisons. Knows the basics of the staff and has learnt a few self-defence tricks

Likes: The colours silver and jade, cookies, feathers, raw vegetables, travelling and pretty music
Dislikes: Meat, rude people and secrets


Personality: Naturally inquisitive, Arian wants to know every and anything about just about anything, as a child he attempted to do this by bombarding people with (at times) almost endless questions (something he managed to get away with mostly by being so adorable and pretty affable to boot).
As an adult, Arian hasn't stopped being curious, although he's stopped bombarding people with questions. He's also less naive (excepting when it comes to relationships in which case he's clueless).
He's also sweet, kind and affable (he seems to get on with most anyone)


History: Arian is a moon unicorn-elf from the Anárioni clan, a clan known for their ability to grow things, especially the unusual such as star-flowers.
Especially wary of other species, the Anárioni clan tend to keep to themselves, only occasionally deigning to trade with other races - usually elves. Those from the Anárioni clan are not allowed to leave clan land without permission - this is tantamount to self-exile.

Arian however was an oddball, unusually curious - at least compared to the rest of his clan, the moon unicorn-elf was always wanting to find out about what lay beyond the borders of clan land.

Eventually getting more and more stifled from living within the borders of the clan, Arian finally had enough and left without permission - basically exiling himself. It was a decision that the unicorn-elf never regretted.

Arian spent three years travelling and learning about the world outside the clan, he found out that unicorn-elves were rare, especially the moon ones (there were only two sets, the Anárioni clan & the Ancalimë clan both of whom were reclusive). He loved learning from others - especially other cultures but was especially interested in birds and the idea that such small things could fly.

Unfortunately Arian was also somewhat naive and too trusting of other people's motives, betrayed by one he thought to be a friend Arian was killed out of another's greed...

But where the will to live is strong, the spirit can sometimes endure what the body cannot.

Arian's tale is a story of second chances and starts the day a half-sprite outcast buys a jade paper lanturn on a whim...

Age: Looks to be somewhere between late teens and early twenties
Birthday: It's a secret
Height: Short (Arian's taller than her and he's somewhat short for an elf)
Race: Crossbreed between sprite (air elemental) and human
Distinguishing Marks: Feathered head-wings, pointed elf-like ears and a tattoo reminiscent of butterfly wings on her back

Occupation: Mage

Abilities: Power over air and ice, plus a generalised knowledge of elemental magic. Proficient at the harp, the long bow and at using throwing fans. Also soul-linked to a spirit bird by the name of Kurura

Appearance: Those who saw Kaze would be forgiven for mistaking her for an elf - she certainly has pointed ears that wouldn't look out of place on an elf... Unfortunately she's rather short for an elf. Although not classically beautiful Kaze has a friendly face and is cute in a 'doesn't-know-she's cute type of way. Kaze's waist-length hair is generally worn in two braids tied simply with a pair of silver ribbons that were a random gift from her mother's younger cousin.

Personality
Fairly sweet, Kaze is fairly easygoing and tends to get on with just about anyone (her mother Iarina being one of the few exceptions).

Loyal to her friends and something of a chatterbox, Kaze comes across as down to earth if a little scatty. She also tends to randomly hand out cookies to people - even those she doesn't know.

Kaze can be a little too trusting of others, a trait that has led to her getting hurt in the past.


History:
The result of a fling between a sprite and a human, Kaze was brought up by her father's brother - although it was only when he was on his deathbed that she found out that the man who had 'raised' her was in fact her uncle.

Kaze's no stranger to being unwanted - her 'father' hadn't really had much time for a child nor had he particularly wanted one and her mother has never made any secret about the fact that Kaze doesn't fit her image of the perfect daughter.

Kaze's learnt to be self-sufficient from an early age and as a result is a fairly good cook, even if most the time she uses her cooking skills to fuel her sweet tooth.

Having spent a great deal of her life not knowing much about her childhood apart from the fact that someone in her family hadn't been human, Kaze had secretly carried around the desire to some day unravel the mystery behind her childhood and one day find her true parents, however having finally met her mother and having found out that she's half sprite Kaze now wishes she had left well alone

Kaze shares a soul-bond with a spirit bird by the name of Kurura, although it's not something she either advertises or talks about.

Outcast from both elemental and human societies, Kaze feels lonely, though she tries not to show it.

Unknown to many, Kaze once adopted a child although he died from a sweating sickness that medicine people were unable to cure.

Kaze is also currently in trouble with the Air Court for neglecting her 'elemental duties'...
