Which it hasn't been for about 100 years, so its just a strong spirit that tastes of aniseed now. smile

It depends, it is another aniseed tasting drink, like Sambuca and Jaegermeister. So if you don't like aniseed, don't drink it.

If it's more subtle like Jager then it's fine, Sambuca is grossly over saturated with Anise. Its more like the middle ground between the two, the alcohol taste is fairly strong so it drowns out some of the aniseed. My advice is try it once to see what you think.
