First off, I don't think this is spam, which is why I put it in the main forum. Maybe someday there will be a separate subforum for pets biggrin *wishful thinking*
Anyways, by exotic pets, I mean anything besides a dog and cat. I'm kind of saddened by the fact that most people out there that talk about pets online are dog or cat lovers; not to mention the fact that most animal ads that can be seen are for cats and dogs. So let's give some praise to those people who own and love something more than a dog or cat!
I, myself, own three very plump, happy little female mice. They are the loves of my life. I have two fancy (white) mice, and one regular mouse; she's caramel-colored with a white stripe down her face. Respectively, their names are Habibi (means "lover" in Indian), Saori (means "different cage" in Japanese), and Kagaya (an homage to a favorite Asian artist). Saori: She's easy to tell from Habibi because her tail curls over her back, which is not shown in this picture.
Habibi: She's a lot fatter now.
Kagaya: Fondly referred to as "Itty-Bitty" because of her small size compared to the other two. She's slightly bigger now.

Lol, when I saw the title of this thread, I thought you meant people who keep pet alligators and flush them down the toilet when they get too big. XD People with those kind of pets tick me off. They don't come off as showing very much respect toward the pets or toward other people in society, for obvious reasons. There was a guy in Los Angeles, near where my grandparents live, and he let loose his "pet" alligator because the creature got too big. Authorities spent so much time looking for it in the lake that it was dumped into, but they never could find it. Kinda creepy. As for "normal" exotic pets (oxi-moron), me and my brother used to have two mice, Ringo and Elizabeth. Sadly, one of them died by drinking something bad, and the other jumped out of my sister's hand and fell own the stairs. =( My older sister's obsessed with rabbits. I think total, she and the rest of us had 10 rabbits, mind you not at one time (Thumper, Snowball, Spottie, Peaches, Boomer, Princess, Penny, BB, Kirby, and Bugs.) We also had two chinchillas who produced three little babies. ^o^ My sister also had an iguana, fish, two frogs (that she named after me and my brother, lol) and a bird. We've never had guinea pigs, hamsters, or turtles. For a short while my younger brother had a snake (Geodude.) Here's a current picture of our dog: Her name is Lila.

I have three cats, but in this forum, they're not important.
The oldest pet in the...apartment is Charles Wallis, our seven year old rabbit. We were told that rabbits don't usually live that long and the bunny looks healthy...odd.
We used to have two gerbils,Riff and Raff (identical; couldn't tell them apart), but they were previous lab experiments and they died...
In their place we now have two rats; Nezumi and Hatsumi. I know Nezumi means 'mouse' in Japanese, and even though she's not a mouse, the name is cute. I've forgotten what Hatsumi means...

There is a chemical in your brain
I personally have a delightful list of animals I wish to own. Most are not cats and dogs (though I have the remains of one of each with me most times).
Animals I intend to have: Red Milk Snake Chinchillas A miniature cow or a goat Mice (I've had them before but the conditions weren't really good for them) Horse(I'm not sure when, but my true name does mean one who delights in horses) Scorpion
And of course a cat and a dog. These are just a few, though. I mostly just don't want a BIRD. Ick. Unless it were a raven. I like ravens.
It's pouring sunshine and rain

I used to have two fish named Bisquit and Gravy. Had a ferret named Schizo, and a small boa by the name of McCoy. She was almost eaten by mice. x_X Don't ask...
Anyway, if I were to have a pet, it would be another ferret, or above all else, a wolf. I would love to have a snowy white wolf. *_* ~is in love~
And just cause he's one of my favorites, I have a cat named Spazz. XD

^^ Indeed, having a sub-forum for pets and care-takers would be delightful!
As for myself, I am caring for Freckles and Ratler, our two leopard geckos, but our hose is also home to a medium-sized hermit-crab; Mickey, that my younger sister treats like a king, and my iguana (staying in North Carolina-I think the plane prohibits exotics-reptiles and rodents in particular). Our non-exotics include: Pancake, a lively Cavalier and Bison Frise` cross, (Cavachon), and two brindle-coat Chihuahaus; Sydney and Cookie Monter (Cookie Monster's the one in my signature). Sydney and Cookie Monster are currently with relatives in North Carolina till we can get them back with us. Unfortunately, Sydney has recently passed away due to a jumping accident. )'=
Just last night, my little sister and I found and caught two Western banded geckos, now making a total of four geckos in the house. <3 The babies are absolutely adorable! They haven't been given names yet, so any suggestions will be taken into consideration-think inquistive and precious! =D
If I am able to get a few pictures of the geckos, I'll post them here, scanning is a slim possiblity but it might cause them harm, and they are too young to really be handled.
Oh..and..I've been kissed by wolves before. <33 (cared for by family)
Edit: The two babies found yesturday weren't leopard geckos! D: I should've done my research- turns out leopard geckos are native to Iran, Asia and a few other countries, not the US! They are Western banded geckos.

Yay! Cute, fuzzy rodents! I used to care for some myself- there was Powder, Snowball and Little-srtipe. ^^ Little-stripe was a tawny-brown with a black stripe of fur that went down his back. Adorable photographs you have of your's! =D I'm especially fond of the cooration of the last one playing peek-a-boo in the skull-cup.

Upon re-checking my posts I've realized that I've forgotten my darling kitty! He shall now be included in my list of non-exotic pets. Milo (named after the movie: Milo and Otis) is human, or appears that way- he talks to me and understands me, and he smiles, even followed me around like a shadow when he was younger! ^^ Now the proud father of five kittens, he and Cali (kitten's mother and his wife), have settled down in North Carolina (their birth-place). There are only two kittens remaining- but I have the feeling that little Peekaboo and her brother; Sahari are there to stay! =3 Milo was a rescue-born under someone's house and abandoned by his mother, I raised him from his kitten-hood. I have thoughts of writing out his story, maybe as a book or just a place in my journal here.

Those are pretty cute. I've had dogs and a cat once, but I've always wanted a fish. Preferrably a koi, but I don't have the money or maintenance to keep one healthy.
Maybe even some sort of crazy bird or lizard. Although, I think I'll end up having a chicken out of its usefulness.

The very thing you strive for ... We have plenty of mice without keeping them in cages at all. Honestly, we have 5 cats and still we have mice in our house. We have no idea where they're getting in. Patsy (my sister) is terrified of them, to make it worse.
I'd love to have a chinchilla, but I hear they're very fragile little things. I'll stick with being the crazy cat lady for a while. ^^; ... is the thing that makes you blind
