 So far Atae's exploration attempts had helped to ease the restlessness that had been plaguing her, but... she hadn't really met any new friends, or potential friends, or even seen an old acquaintance that she was particularly wanting to find again. Still... it was a nice day, and the scenery as she walked along near a creek was soothing. She spotted what looked like a small sort of "beach" up ahead and... what was that on the ledge above it? Blink.

 The drowsy form of the newly awakened Brother stepped through the doorway to his,..shelter, promptly giving en exagerated yawn and streach.
"Mmmn,." He gave low drowsy murmurs in his own native tongue, as he blinked open his swirled green eyes.
"Eh? Yhudran(another) Kitsu?" He said to himself as he caught sight of the approaching kitsu. He didn't get many visitors. Those he did get were,...odd, to say the least.

Well, luckily for him Atae wasn't odd. A bit shy, and subjected to random bouts of empathy among friends, but otherwise she was pretty much a normal girl. If a bit on the petite side.
So... that was a house? And that kitsu lived there? She'd never seen a kitsu with hair like that before... or... tattoos? Were those tattoos? Huh. As unique as his appearance was she found it to be visually appealing.
She padded a bit closer and stopped again, feeling nervousness start to creep up her spine the way it always did when she first met someone she didn't know on her own. Her tails fidgeted slightly as she called up, "Uh... Hi? I'm not intruding, am I? I was just taking a walk..."

"Nyeh?" Brother walked to the edge of the ledge, and sat there, looking down at the Kitsu below.
"Eentrooding? err, why would juu zink juu are entooding?" He questioned with his heavy accent, as he randomly flailed a paw - one of his many odd mannerisms. This poor little kitsune would soon learn - Brother was full of,...odd mannerisms.

Well... he wasn't mad, so that was a start. Relax already, girl! Atae sat and curled her tails around her paws so she wouldn't shuffle them around in nervous anticipation. "Well... I don't know, I was just walking through the woods, and I didn't know anyone lived here. People aren't always pleased to have random people wandering around near their homes." The random arm flailing was... odd. Not threatening. Just... odd. It seemed to fit in with his unique appearance, though. "Ah... My name is Atae." Might as well introduce herself if she was going to keep talking with him.

To brother, this was free land. It didn't matter if he lived here, or somewhere else. He didn't own the land, so if someone stumbled upon his little home, that was no problem to him. However, he had dismissed that some can be rather territorial. So what if they said the land was thiers? untill he saw a written agreement, words ment nothing to him. Seeing as kitsu can't write though, well. Heh.
"My name IZ Brotherrr," he introduced with a grin, placing a paw on his chest in a proud manner.
He jumped off the short cliff to the area below. "eet iz, a, eh, pleasurrrre tu meet juu. Zere iz not manee who find me here,." He cast a glance around the place. It was pretty - with exception of the junk heap, wich was begining to have vines and other small plants growing over it, almost to camoflauge it. It was rather remote too, while not without the basic neccesities - water and food.

Atae smiled at him, if a bit tentatively. "Nice to meet you, too..." She did grin when he mentioned that not many people ran across him here, almost feeling sheepish. "Ah... yeah... well... I've been wandering a bit far off the beaten path lately. Tired of seeing the same old scenery, I guess."

"Aaaah. Anz, eh, what bringz juu to be wonderreeng?" He inquired.
The only reason he ever traveled was for the fun of the adventure - though this summer heat kinda took the lust for adventure out of someone. And boy was it a hot summer. The Al Bhed Kitsu was quite thankful for the water near by.

Atae thought about that for a moment before grinning. "Ah... guess I'm just not the type to go off adventuring by myself. That and ah... one of my best friends got his heart broken... I don't really feel right leaving him right now. So... I just wander around out here so I'm not too far from home if I'm needed." She shrugged. "There's other things, too, but those are the main two..." At least he seemed nice. It wasn't like trying to prod conversation out of Riku. DX

"Friiieeendz,..eet iz a luxury, anz a berrden!" He said in a rather melodramatic way.
He had no clue where other members of his family were,..if they were even in this world, and he had no friends so,..he was free from such obligations,...it was sad and lonely at times, but then there were times he loved the freedom.
"Ie,.guess zat makezz juu a gud friend zough,.." he said, scratching his ear, making his many earrings jingle.

Atae rubbed one forepaw with the other. "I try to be... though sometimes I feel like I could do better. I just don't know how." She shook her head to clear her thoughts and made herself put both paws back on the ground. "How long have you lived out here? Are you on your own?" She hoped she was allowed to ask... she was having fun talking with him. He was so... loud. Audibly, visually, and in personality. But not a threatening sort of loud.

"Zomtimez,.zere iz nosing juu can du," He said, waving a paw about. Friendships were odd things that worked out better in his philosophy than in reality.
"iee,.have been ere for,..a while. Yez! A while, all on my own!" he gave a proud grin. his father and sister might not have thought him capable of taking care of him self, but he had proven them wrong!
"So, juu travel now,..doez zat mean juu have no home nemore? OR juu have a place waitiing on jur return?" He gave the last a dramatic flair, waving his forepaws accross the air, before setteling them back down.

Atae couldn't help a small smile at his mannerisms. She found them more... soothing than odd, though if you'd asked her why she couldn't have explained it. "Oh well... I hardly ever wander so far that I can't back home in a day or two. Or to my parents' place or my Grandda's. They live up here on the Mountain, I live with friends down in Realm." She flicked a tail briefly, back and forth, before she caught it. Her body just refused not to fidget sometimes. "I just never really took much of a look around when I was little so I wanted to see what was out here..."

"Iee,.wondered ze same, before Ie found ze Airship, back on Spira. Zen I finallee gotz tu travel. Eet iz a wonderrful zing." He looked up to the sky, remembering another life, another time, another place. He has still yet to figure out how things had changed to thier currenct circumstances, but it wasn't like he was going to get any answers.
"but now zere iz no ship, no Spira! Nozing for me but my [i[junk heap uv eh home!" He was still a trifle bitter about not being able to create a new airship - something that had teken him all over the mountain to try to achieve.
Adventure was nothing when you had to actually walk.

Atae felt that bitterness on the edge of her awareness, like a heavy blanket full of pins and needles. She hopped up and started to move away subconsciously, realizing what she'd done only after she'd taken a couple of steps. She decided perhaps a drink of water would cover the slip and padded over to the creek. She took the moment to think, both about why Spira sounded so familiar a word, and if there was anything she could do that might help him.
"I've... never really thought about being able to fly, so I hadn't considered something like that. I just climb as high as I can go up here sometimes. Well, and get back to where I'm going. Guess I'm just used to walking everywhere..." She couldn't help wondering idly if Trel's family might be able to concoct something a kitsu could fly in. She wanted to mention it to him but... then again... she didn't want to get his hopes up if there wasn't anything they could do. She'd ask herself sometime and then come back if she had good news.
