As some of you know, I have both of my nips double pierced (in a + pattern). My left one has never caused me any worry or anything. My right one, however, has been a pain in the a** since day 1. It bled so much when it was pierced, the horizontal is healing lop-sided, and the vertical seems to always be aggravated. Also, I can't seem to find the right size jewelry for them anywhere! A 1/2" barbell is too short and a 5/8" barbell is way too long, and I can't find antything in between. I've also had them since December, so they should be close to being fully healed, but they behave like I've had them for 6 weeks.
All this is leading me to a very sad conclusion: I may have to retire both on my right n**. This is especially sad because they are my favorites and I've never had to retire any piercing thus far.
So I need some advice. Should I take them out and let them heal up and eventually get them repierced? Or is that a horrible idea because they are always aggravated? Or should I wait it out a little longer?
I am going to go to a shop in the next week and get a professional opinion on this. Hopefully, not all hope is lost for them...

Yeah I'd say definitely talk to your piercer.
I assume you've tried numerous sea salt soaks?

My piercer is in Texas and I recently moved to Georgia... so I kind of have to go elsewhere...
No matter what I do, they're aggravated. I've tried changing the jewelry and lots of treatment regimens (sp?) but nothing seems to help too much.

I usually have more problems healing one n****e more then the other(they have been redone three times) The right side is probably just the one that moves more, or gets bumped or slept on more. talk a peircer though. I would probably get them taken out and redone... and let one heal before you get the second peirceing done.

I'd take them out and have them redone as well. Let us know what your piercer says! (Or... the piercer you find sweatdrop )

OK, I'm going to go see a couple of piercers this weekend to get their opinions on the matter. I'll update here later.

So I went to Electric Body Art yesterday and talked to a pierced there. I told him my problem. Basically he told me that this is the nature of doubles, and if I chose to take them out, he suggested taking only one that is bothering me more out.
Your suggestions?

Hm, well, you'd still have n****e piercings then. Just singles.

So I've decided to try one last thing before I give them up. I went a couple days ago to have the barbells changed from steel to titanium. It wasn't cheap ($36/barbell), so hopefully it will be worth it. If not, I have (better) jewelry for when I get them redone.

Yea, I had plus signs on my nipples too.
I had to take both out on my left side because after a year they were still really sensitive and crusty, no matter how well I took care of them. crying
Plus the deeper-pierced one was actually migrating up toward the other one. The barbells were touching each other INSIDE the skin. It hurt so ******** bad.
I also, later on, had to retire one of the piercings in my right n****e because it began to migrate forward, and almost out of my n****e.
Now all I have left is the vertical bar in my right n****e, and even that had migrated forward to where the horizontal bar used to be. O.o

I totally admire you for having doubles. I have the pain tolerance of an infant.
When I got my horizonals first done... augh. I don't even know how to describe it. I would rather give birth than to pierce my nipples again. I just wanted to die.

update: .... and my nipples are piercing free.
The final one had migrated almost out of my n****e. The one that had originally been BEHIND another piercing.
So I took it out. I may get them done again someday, but for now... sweatdrop
