This is a test of the battle system for my Arania RP
I want to make sure it works before I start the RP itself.
Anyone can join and use any character they want. All characters will have 5HP/5MP to start so it's fair. Keep everything combat oriented unless it is a critique of my battle system.

Preliminary battle system.

Each character rolls one D10 (10 sided die) And posts their starting action.
Character with highest Dice roll wins the round.
Once the round has been decided, it can be Rped out.

EX:
-Player A rolls a 5, posts "Player A pulled out his sword and charged at Player B"
-Player B rolls a 7, posts "Player B Raised his dagger defensively"
--Player B wins, and now the fight can be RP'ed, so player A posts;
-"Player A's sword got knocked out of the way, but continued towards Player B"
-Player B posts "After Player A's sword flew out of the way, Player B stabbed him in the chest with his Dagger.
-Round 2 begins with the winner of the previous round going first. First player out of HP loses the fight.

*Note-One MP is spent per spell, One spell per round per character.

Okay, to be sure I understand... It's essentially a free form battle, except the first move is determined by a die roll?

the second move is, actually, this first is whatever you want, but the dice rolls don't appear till after you post so during the second move is when the dice roll matters.

Ohhh, I see. It's getting late, my mind is fuzzy, don't mind me. But I have a question. What is the point of spells and MP? What do they do for you?

It's for an RP with magic, if you want to cast a spell, it costs MP, that way people don't go all spell-happy, they have a limit to their madness.

Mmm, but what I wonder is, what's the benefit to casting a spell? If it offers them no real advantage in combat, why does it have an associated cost?

Well, at the moment i do not have a spell system in place *goes to work* but basically spells don't always directly effect another person, such as casting a shiled spell or fixing a broken weapon, infusing something with an elemental attribute, etc.

Kai stand, in the middle of a large arena, his trusty katana ready at his side "I dare any of you to try and defeat me!" He calls aloud to the audience. he waits patiently for his first challenger.

Not that much later a warrior clad in leather armor jumped out of the arena's audience. He was covered in blood and this fight would obviously not be his first fight of today. "I accept your challange!" he shouts as a reply. He draws his weapon and takes on a defensive pose.

(Only 2 HP for me please, because the man is still weary from the last battle and I don't have much time XD)

Dohrn held his sword diagonally in attempt to block Kai's strike even though he trusted his muscles and armor more then his sword in this matter for he was rather heavy build.

((Very Creative... But It limits what can be done... All this allows is someone to get extremely lucky, And then it be comes one sided... So Free and open Fights are better... Though having less or No Player deaths. and almost always result in a Retreat or distraction.) But thats just my 2 bits..)

In his arrogance, Kai had rushed before he sized up the man, his katana easily knocked out of the way, he simply bounced off the much larger warrior.

(OOC: wow.. that sucks for me, and, Yes. now your turn, do something damaging, just not major death or loss of limbs, K?)

Dohrn grinned and quickly sidestepped after he was hit, swinging his sword horizontally as he stepped. The flat side of the sword hit the Kai's right arm, even though Dohrn coulden't hit the man with the sharp side of the blade the force of the blow left Kai with a réally nasty blow.

Dohrn quickly made use of the time Kai needed to recover from the previous attack and held his sword way up high and then slamming it down boldly with all force.

(This roll is for the second attack)

(to Ich leibe sie: yeah but this is more fair and prevents god-modding, besides, theres multiple rounds, not just the one)
